[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][CM12.1][5.1.1][ALPHA][KIWI][2/1/2016 security] - Honor 5X ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Develo

Preface:Lots of great developers have been bringing Cyanogenmod to the Honor 5X, but no one has posted any experimental builds for people to flash. Since I have been able to build CM with the sources other developers have kindly created, I would like to share builds for others to try out on their devices without having to setup an Android build environment.
I would like to clarify a few things:
These builds are UNOFFICIAL and may not be daily driver material.
I just build these ROMs from sources OTHER developers create. See credits below for developer list.
I cannot provide ETAs for the next build, new features, or anything else.
I have only tested these builds on KIW-24, so other variants might not support this ROM.
You are solely responsible for flashing this ROM along with any damage that might result from said flash. See the disclamer.
See post 1 for install instructions and downloads
See post 2 for screenshots and changelogs
Disclaimer: Voided warranties, bricked devices, rogue alarms at 2AM etc. are all your own problem. Neither any developer nor XDA is responsible for any unpleasantness that may result from using this ROM.

And anyone else I might have missed. Let me know if I should add someone else to the credits.

To flash this ROM you need to:
Unlock bootloader and install TWRP
Boot into TWRP, perform wipe, and then flash ROM .zip and optional gapps *NOTE* non kiw-24 users see this post for information on flashing.
Reboot, and enjoy CM on the Honor 5X
Unofficial ROM Downloads:
3-10-16 - REMOVED by OP
Optional Gapps Downloads:
http://opengapps.org/ (ARM64, 5.1.1, Full)

Changelog:
3-10-16 - Initial build. (Tested) working features; wifi, BT, (some) data/LTE, normal phone features.
Known bugs:
No rear camera
No fingerprint sensor
No extra kernel features like Tap To Wake
Some cellular/data features may not work. I can't test this so check posts below to see if someone else can confirm.
Screenshots attached.

I can only test on kiw-24. Another user has reported being able to flash ROM on kiw-22. If you or someone else can confirm that this will work on other variants, I'll update the OP.

Nothing was posted cause there is still things that need to be fixed...lol.. Bugs in builds suck..

Awesome! 40 days after US release. ( i know its been around these forums for a little while) but having a flash-able file is a big bonus. Any general working or not working info ?

I didn't mean to imply that other devs where in anyway at fault for no posted builds. I understand the desire to focus on fixing bugs rather than maintaining builds, but there a lot of people, myself included, that don't mind running buggy builds if we can get a taste of CM.
By the way, do you want me to add you to the credits?

Thanks for replying fast man, actually I don't own the device yet, I was following the development here and thanks to you guys I might consider getting it, you made a big difference hope you keep on with this, your work is much appreciated :victory:

My deal is this... I also have builds of BrokenOs (my rom) for this device but i havent posted any for public use, for one reason...Respect... @crpalmer is doing 95% of the legwork for this device over there at CM and Im sure once hes ready and comfortable with where it is, he will announce builds somewhere for it....I think its both premature, and kinda crappy, to make public someones work before even they think its ready for public use.... My 2 cents... Oh, and i dont care about credit for anything..Im just a rom dev, i get enough for that....

Thanks for your input. I certainly do respect @crpalmer along with all the other devs who have worked on this device, and I in no way want to detract from the fame/glory/respect they are due for all their hard work.
@crpalmer or any other dev, if you want me to remove this thread or change it in any way, please let me know. I don't want to step on anyone's toes. I was only trying to help others get a early taste of CM so they didn't have to build it themselves.

Appreciate the credit but I just fetch coffee and hound Huawei when necessary for devs doing actual work.
No harm removing me from the credits.

Thnx to all the devs trying real hard to get these awesome roms on our device.... Really appreciated

Thank you @Bandit Development for the build. While I understand where @InkSlinger420 is coming from I much prefer the state of where @crpalmer has brough CM to over stock. I've been running this for about 4 hours. GPS works great, data and phone work great. Most importantly switching between apps doesn't draaaaaaaag.

Hopefully those responsible for the hard work on this rom will realize this wasn't an attempt to grab the spotlight, but rather a way to placate the masses. Also, needed or not, there is valuable information even in the few early posts because not everyone uses their phones the same way, so one person may never run into a bug that another person sees frequently.
Fingers crossed, but perhaps this thread will also limit the number of posts in the [Dev] thread asking when etc.......... I know I filled it with build questions which probably didn't belong there either. However, I'm trying to learn a little about rom development and one of the first steps to that is to be able to build the rom so you can test your tweaks, or at least see how someone else's changes affect the phone.

It would take me approximately 30 seconds to add automatic nightly builds to my autobuild server (I already generate some builds every night).
Consider that and the fact that I haven't done so as an indication of whether or not I thought builds should be posted right now...

Wow, didn't realize you have a server dedicated to building. Because of this, I did not know that you wanted to wait to post builds. Would you like me to ask an admin to remove this thread? I sincerely don't want to mess with your work, plans, or anything else.

You don't need to remove the thread, I am just pointing out that I don't think that the build is at a level of quality that represents well the work of CyanogenMod.

Well, I'm happy to let you take over cooking builds if you'd like. I certainly don't claim to be able to make quality builds.
I would really appreciate any tips/info you'd like to share that would improve my builds. I've been trying to learn how to fix bugs and contribute to the ROM development, but the task seems to be a rather undocumented and slow-going.

nand on rahael 800 project want you!

This is not my development
Information:
It's half a month since I first post on Neopeek that I managed to boot Android Linux kernel on raph800 from NAND. Although after that I had solved some of the basic and important bugs, I'm now really making progress slow.
Some people have made great suggestion that me making all the source open, and I decide to follow it. So here is it.
Plan to support: raph800,raph100.
Likely to be supported: diam types, other raph types.
Whether a phone type is supported depends on the test mechine used by our project members. That is , if you have a phone other than raph800 or raph100 but joined the develop team, then we are happy to add your device to the support list.
Sorry to say that it's nearly impossible to use git over my Internet connection, so I have to host the project on Google, using a svn repository.
Notice:
I'm not a professional Linux kernel developer and it's my first time to participate in a open source project(not to say that I'm even the creator…Orz), so if I make something wrong or inproperly please do feel free to point that out and I'll correct it.
Please none developers don't bother in this…
Resource and Participating:
Project is hosted here.
You are accepted as a team member only if you can follow the instructions below.
Read about the project status and the TODO list.
Make a positive () patch for the project to prove that you're qualified to develop.
Send your patch to me by mail and if it's accepted, I'll then add your account to the contributor list.
And please anyone who likes the project spread the word about it over the net, thanks!

Exact same as haret/SD card builds, probably worse. Lots of optimization needs to happen for NAND, on RHOD battery life is way worse presently. Just because it's being flashed onto the phone doesn't mean the work is done...
if anyone is interested i downloaded complate source from google code. You can use it at your own risk. I hope someone will make shortly NBH from this.

Well, I had to backtrace you over to neopeek's forum to understand this post, with absolutely no explanation.
Folks, he downloaded the source from jamesallen426's google code site and put it in a 7z file...
It doesn't appear ready to test dude, I really hope you asked jamesallen426 for permission to do this... I would assume if he was ready to test it, he would announce a release and post it...
Oh com'on, he was just thinking of a good way to rid the world of the d-pad devil device (triple-d)
I honestly didn't think it was exactly ready for "prime time" but I was considering flashing when I had the time...

exactly. as I wrote "i downloaded complete source from google code" I don't write that it is flash ready, and write that maybe someone can make nbh from this source if he have time and required knowledge. If you want to play with this, here now you have source in one file, you don't need to install additional applications to download source from google code. If we want to push this project forward we need original files to play with them, test something and send to jamesallen426 new files.
Helo. Can anyone tell me what device is Raphael 800? Is it regular HTC Touch Pro GSM version or? Will this work on this device? Tnx.

I believe RAPH800 is GSM (I could be wrong) but the idea is, we need others to test this that have no problem with their device ending up as a paper weight. As mentioned earlier: by trying this, no one is liable for you destroying your device. Just need testers who know what they are doing and are willing to accept this.

RAPH800 is CDMA (Sprint and others). The RAPH100 and 110 are GSM.
I have an HTC fuze here I will give to a developer for testing purposes. Contact me, and I will arrange to send it to you. US-based preferred, just for the shipping convenience.
Thanks.

I have a spare AT&T Fuze (Raph110) which except for the Touchscreen, everything else is operational. Which means for me it's already a brick anyway (i have 2 other ones), so I have no problem trying out some flashing

[KANG][CM7] Unofficial/Unsupported

I also want to let you guys know that I personally flash these ROMS before posting them to make sure they are safe. With that being said, you flash them at your own risk...
*Disclaimer: These builds are in no way meant to replace the nightly builds, just to bridge the gap when the bot isnt building. I am not a dev, and these are not approved by our CM guy. You may post bugs with these builds, in THIS thread only. They will not be addressed, but noted. If you flash these builds, do not post in nemith's "official" thread anything concerning these build's.
OK, lets try this again I deleted the other thread because I didnt want it to be a source of drama for us NS4G owners. Everyone seems to get along here, so far lol. I will build whats in the repo, the chances of things being broken are pretty high. I was fixing things in the previous builds, I wont be doing that this time, these will be straight off the CM git. So, with that here is todays build...only thing Ive found wrong with this is the 4g toggle, of course...

I would like to see this thread locked, BUT keep the OP updated daily/whenever you update. There is no reason to discuss bugs or things since this is an unofficial build that will change nightly. This thread should just be info and the download imho
Just my .02 anyway.

I disagree, keep it open. Not so much a place to discuss the bugs as it is just to post them so people now what to expect. If a build doesnt boot, etc, I would rather someone else find that out and post it. That way 20 people dont have to boot to a very broken or non functional build.
Not to mention every single CM device has a "kang" build thread, that is also left unlocked.

I would have no problem with that. I dont think I can edit the OP if its locked though. And there wont necessarily be a build every day. Just under these circumstances, i.e. no build for 4 or 5 days and tons of new commits. Not saying its a common occurance, but it is known to happen.
Fair enough, didnt think of it that way

I myself would like to see it stay open. Mikey has done alot for NS4G users and takes time to help others figure out when the help is needed. Whats it going to hurt having this thread, for the users who relate. It's just my opinion as well.
Woohoo. Good to see it open Mikey.
. . NS4G . . CM7 . .
I didn't really think of the not booting / lots of issues / things like that. I know mikey just mentioned something about keeping drama down and I thought it might have been a good idea. Obviously 2 sides to every thought process though. Its one of the reasons I love this forum
Seriously, this is the best section I've seen here at xda. I want it to stay that way. The reason I closed the other thread is because there was concern these builds and this thread would cause issues for nemith in the "official" thread. I don't think that will be the case and ask that everyone do their part to make sure we keep them seperate. Thanks so much guys
So, the build posted is legit. No issues that I've seen. Can't wait for working 4g toggle...

Having technical difficulties, if someone else wants to post a build, feel free. Just make sure you dont change anything, and that its not gonna brick anyone You can PM me a link to add to the OP, or post it and I will copy it to the OP along with the name of the builder. This goes for anyone....

[ROM][SGH-I317 / T0LTEATT][4.4.4][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 11 - Builds of opportunity

As many of you know the GSM Note 2 is supported by CyanogenMod in a unified build format. This work is simply monumental with a beautiful product. Many in the US Note 2 community are reluctant to use the unified build for a variety of reasons.
Nicktastique and rmanne picked up the mantle and provided the SGH-T889 community with device specific unofficial CM11 builds. As rmanne has transitioned to a new device, I saw that I would be able to give back to the T889 community and pick up the yoke and keep us moving forward. The SGH-I317 is very similar to the T889 and use nearly all the same build configuration.
My product is no more than a straight source built t0lteatt build as the CM11 spec is drawn up for the t0lteatt on the CM github. All source is available at the CM git. I make no changes unless noted (in the remote chance that changes occur they will be documented/git referrenced).
I make no promises or warranty of any kind, all flashing is done at your own risk and should not be thought to be the responsibility of anyone other than the person deciding to flash the ROM. While I will attempt to help you work through issues, I do not plan on integrating non-CM commits or "fixes" with very few exceptions (carrier network labeling is one such exception).
I plan on putting up new builds weekly if not a bit more frequently if I am inspired. If I see a change in CM commits that looks promising I expect that I would post a new build. I will not promise a timeline, I simply plan on weekly builds.
Let me know if anything is goofy.
Flashing instructions:
Using the most current TWRP, ClockworkMod, or PhilzTouch recovery; wipe data, system, cache, and dalvik (especially if coming from a different ROM).
Flash the unofficial CM .zip file from the link below
Flash the gapps of your choice (CM or PA are good)
Boot phone and let sit on a stationary flat surface.
Do not touch the device for 10 minutes to allow the caches to build.
Reboot the device and set up to your liking

Some folks really want to have a build that doesn't show some other phones build ID. Those folks may not be numerous but they are around.
I may play with it after I figure another project I'm working on. If I feel I'm wasting my time building it, I'll stop. I thought the AT&T community might want something like this as I was putting a similar build together for the T-Mobile community.

Yup. They are purely CM source home builds.
Eventually I will start doing subtle things to try learn more. Any changes to the I317 ROM will be tested on the T889 ROM first and documented in the OP.
If anyone out there has flashed this, how is your network being reported? Does it show AT&T?
New build is up.
Thanks for bringing this over to ATT, 6/18 running rock solid so far.
EDIT: Found a bug this morning, while the headphones are plugged in and play music is going the music will stop once the screen shuts off
Does this ROM have the camera blobs or whatever the correct term in it? I'm running OmniROM right now because they do and my photos have been significantly better.

EDIT: You might wanna fix that spelling error in the thread title too!

This build is strictly CM without edit. If there is a compelling reason to change something I might, the only thing I am spending time on presently is the carrier labeling bit.

The camera blobs (the ones Samsung released that are included in OmniROM these days) significantly improve camera performance and clarity. You might wanna take a look. Thanks for the reply too!

IIRC they broke my OmniRom home builds camera. I might mess with them on my Omni home builds. It will take a while and I doubt I'll add them unless it makes a huge difference and documenting the change is easy.

Understandable! Good luck!

The worst development project I've ever dealt with

Your valid bug reports are rejected because you haven't provided logcat which is exactly useless.
Your valid regression bug reports are rejected because you ... posted them too late and the last working build is too ... far off in the past.
Developers are keen not to assist you but to make you feel disgusted because after you provide as much information as possible, your input is completely rejected.
It's the first and last time in my life I've bought an Android device thinking LineageOS would be a nice alternative to the official ROM. No more.
I do understand this project is run by volunteers in their spare time, but I've participated in at least ten other non profit Open Source projects and I've never been treated this way.
Bug reports: 436, 509, 510 and 511.

same, dude, same, have just moved back to stock ROM, it's much better. A great weight off my mind.
All my proper bug reports with logcat have been deleted and I have been banned from the LOS IRC channel.
Never ever buy a phone thinking that LOS will be a viable alternative to your official ROM. It won't.
Not with such an extremely hostile development team.
I simply have no words.
The last batch of bug reports: 770, 771, 776, 790 and 795 - all valid, all rejected, all deleted.
Another proof, psychoi3oy.

Some of your rapports would have been accepted if placed under BUGBASH with the minimum logs attached. REGRESSION is only if you know the exact last known working build.
BUGBASH is only open during weekends though. Why you only are allowed to report on the weekends is a other question.... ?

You haven't taken time to actually review my rejected bug reports and now you're blaming me what what I didn't, nice. The screenshot above just underlines how LOS devs work.
Sorry, bug reports 770, 771, 776, 790 and 795 were all filed under appropriate categories with logcat attached. Now that my user account has been deleted for the second time I have no desire to have anything common with this crazy *****es project ever again.
Clearly I looked in the wrong places somehow... I mistakenly took the screenshot as your rapports. Just did a quick glance at them. I commented on those rapports. Sorry for that. Rejecting REGRESSION rapports that should have been in BUGBASH is a common problem. Takes away time from the real issues.
X2 is your rapports? The numbers can exist both in BUGBASH and REGRESSION. BUGBASH-795 seems still open. The others lacked a log in the beginning.
I've seen bugs where users even found a walk-around and asked them to close the bug rapport. They refused as they didn't accept anything than a real solution... So closing and rejecting is not all they do.
However JIRA is not perfect. Sometimes a discussion in the devices own Lineage thread in the forum is better fitted and can get you closer to the device maintainer quicker. I normally write a rapport at JIRA but not without mentioning it in the Lineage thread of my device. Other users may replicate the bug and perhaps are able to add more important info about the problem at JIRA or in the thread.

I know the feeling. I go to the reddit asking if they can make a build for LG K7. My post gets removed, but it's fair because requests aren't allowed on the main reddit.
Then I ask if they have a request subreddit where I can ask them to make the build. A team member literally said in response, "No. Go away. If you want something, build it. End of discussion."
How dare you. You're the developers, not me. You are the ones who made LineageOS, therefore building the ROMs is your responsibility and yours alone. I'll stick with my Stock ROM, thank you.

You can't just ask someone and say "Hey. Build me a ROM" and then have tantrums if they didn't do it. Building ROMs for other device is not their responsibility. They are not paid.
I wouldn't call that a tantrum so much as I would call it anger at how I was responded to that day. Either way, they're developers. If they don't build the ROMs, the only other people who could are the experts who have experience in building and compiling ROMs.
I was simply angry at how rude that member was to me. They could have simply responded with, "We do not take requests. Our ROM is open source for anyone to modify and create new ROMs with." Anything other than that rude response.
Anyway, I understand I was wrong, but my main issue is that other than the one person who's still working on FenomenalMOD, there's literally no custom ROM for the LG K7 after years of release, and I was hoping there was at least a LineageOs ROM for it, which of course, there wasn't. And even if they aren't paid for it, they still did their work in creating the official ROM, so what's stopping them from making a ROM for each model of phone outside of life issues and such?

Guess what? They are developers of Lineage by choice and you can be too, so if you want Lineage for your phone, go build it yourself. If there was already a developer out there who wanted it for that phone, they would have already done it, but there isn't so why can't you step up to the plate and do it?
Anyone that gets mad about a rude or sarcastic response about doing something for them like that is a joke.
Excuse me?

So I'm a joke? For one thing, I don't have any expertise in building ROMs, so no, I can't do it. I was honestly curious. But to sit right up there and call me a joke for being angry at getting a rude response...What? Who wouldn't get upset if they were treated rudely? I expect courtesy from both them and you, since you obviously didn't see that I admitted I was wrong. I came to this forum because I felt I was wronged. I was wrong, and I more or less ended my case with the other responder. You, on the other hand, just had to go and say that I'm a joke for getting heated like that...
You know what? I'll just wait. Sooner or later, FenomenalMOD will be completed, and the person who posted about it said he's looking into making a LineageOS build, so as long as I wait it out, I, along with many other LG K7 users who have wanted Lineage for so long will get what we wanted. End of this discussion. Please enjoy your weekends.

[REQ][H932] H932 ROM Development Bounty Thread [Release Available]

As grateful as I am for the H932 to now have root, it's only half the battle for me. V30 development in the ROMs department already seems to be a bit slim in what's available, and I fear it might be too little too late for the H932 for development to really take off.
Having said that, I wanted to call on any capable and willing dev to give us some love on the H932, and I'm more than willing to donate to the cause for the first dev that is willing to grace us with something like this:
First off, confirm whether or not we can indeed use AOSP ROMs or if we're stuck with stock based.
Stable (stock Oreo from Tmo sucks in this department, too many bugs left unfixed).
Debloated.
Wide range of customization options, if possible.
That's all I ask! Anyone else feel free to expand on that.
Who's with me?
I'll start us off:
BrandonB1218 - $20
Kangta05 - $20
Joeygee23 - $20
Total: $60
Update:
@me2151 and I are testing Pi builds on the H932. Stay tuned!

If you intend to follow through with the bounty donation, please donate directly to @me2151, as without his work we would not have gotten an H932 release. Also please consider donating to @SGCMarkus for his fantastic LOS 15.1 ROM!

As a developer... Yes h932 roms will be easy. More than likely you guys just have a different kernel/vendor files. We need logs in order to know exactly whats wrong. and I havent seen any logs from boot attempts.

I'm willing to provide them, I just need to know how to retrieve them. I already know I can flash other ROMs without ending up with a brick, they just won't boot.

Go ahead and message me on Telegram. @me2151XDA
Wow, you guys really are inpatient
My H932 doesn't even get here till tomorrow. As soon as I have a phone in my hands, then I will start with:
1 - fixing the kernel so the H932 can boot any AOSP ROM
2 - Working on getting Treble support working, so that we can run GSI ROMs
3 - Getting a build of TWRP out there that support encryption

(accidental double post edit)
@me2151 and I are currently testing a Pi build of his H930 ROM. We're making progress! Hope to have a working build soon, and a big big big thank you to @me2151 and @runningnak3d for their hard work and dedication to the community.

There's no dev without root, so folks, whatever bounty you are willing to pay should largely go to @runningnak3d first. Here is the link for your convenience: donate to runningnak3d. Do it, then if you have any left and willing, you could pledge bounty for developers.
That said, for development I have H932s I can loan for 1-2 months. PM me. I personally prefer stock LG and have less need for AOSP/Treble, but the loaner is available regardless.
Aaaaaaand we have a WORKING BUILD! Still very early, but making very good progress.

Can I please test.. I've been asking for days for something to flash.. I'm ok with bug reporting.. pm me please..
I do not need any more testers. 1 is plenty for me. Especially at the current stage of the rom. Please do not PM me or @BrandonB1218 asking for the build. You will not get it.

So much for donating.. I thought the point of any of this was making money.. even easy side money.. I guess I can wait..
The purpose of this isn't to make money. Its to get support for the H932. Which i have done. As of right now there are only minor issues such as audio issues. Those don't need multiple testers.

I rarely if ever see a developer do this because it pays (99% of the time it doesn't). The point of a Bounty thread such as this, is to act as an incentive for developers to hopefully begin supporting the H932, however they are under no obligation to do so, and if someone steps up to do it, such as me2151, I promise you the $60 he might get in donations does not begin to reflect the true value of his work, not just in time spent but his work also provides a base for other developers to make their own ROMs much easier in the future.
Just my 2 cents.

I also said pm me because I'm as impatient as you.. I thought you would understand where I was coming from. I was expecting you to shoot me a number or link.. I said I don't mind bugs.. I don't even use this phone for anything other than testing and I get bored.. I guess waiting is ok.. but an incentive to donate is nice to.. it goes both ways..
