The Bamboo skin looks amazing, IMHO, but sadly it isn't a selectable option yet.
I reached out to dbrand and this is what they said:
Thanks for reaching out. We can confirm Bamboo will be available shortly. Keep an eye on our social media for updates.

I know this thread is stale, but I'm curious if anyone has had any luck with the dbrand (or any other skin) on this device? I normally love dbrand, but on the Nextbit I found the fit to be pretty terrible. I don't like how it comes up around the edges, since the fit around the buttons and the edge of the screen wasn't precise. My previous phone the fit was perfect, so I was pretty disappointed with the fit on this Nextbit phone. I tried to use a razor and make the edges square to the back, but I'm not the most competent arts and crafts guy, so I kind of butchered it.

I applied a bamboo back and black top and bottom the other day and I kind of agree with you there, this phone is not the best to use with dbrand.
I had to apply a bit of tension and stretch it out in some parts when applying the top and bottom parts so it wouldn't show any red (I have the Ember edition) but you can always still see some. Midnight versions might look better regarding this I think.
Also re-did the top and bottom last week, this time went full bamboo, and tried to be a bit more careful, and I must say, although still not perfect, it looks a lot better than the first one I tried. I say try to peel it off and use the spare ones they also send, this time trying to be a bit more careful and making sure everything is 100% symmetrical (this part is a big pain in the ass) and you may get a little luckier this time!

Thanks, maybe I'll give it a try if they were a touch cheaper I'd probably be a little more liberal in my attempts to get it just right!

How is the power button white? Does it come with a sticker for it or does it just look like that because of the angle the picture was taken in?

Got mine today. It's meh. application was easy but yes, my corners along with my back fit was pretty bad. Also messes up the fit of my screen protector

Does anyone have one of these for the Tab 10.1? If so, how is the coverage on it and are you happy w/ it? I've seen some posts about phones, but Want to know if the sides of the tab are protected enough and if the screen portion is any good on a tablet?
check pictures of it on an ipad or any other tablet, i believe the result is the same.

I looked at pics of the Pad and the corners are cut out. I don't like that at all. The pics on their site are photoshopped and you can't tell anything from that.
I just got mine today from amazon. Check the last page in the mega case thread. I like it. Anything will add some amount of weight/thickness. This one fits really well. I'm keeping it.

I just got mine today and I'm extremely satisfied with it so far.
The fit is absolutely perfect from edge to edge, on all the corners, and around the camera and flash. I'm actually astounded that they managed to get the measurements so perfect; it covers the entire back without overlapping the little gap between the back panel and the trim around the edge of the device.
It also adds a little bit more of a grippy feel to the back, even moreso than the metallic grey back (which is what I have), so it feels like it will be a little easier to hang onto the Tab and not drop it.
However, you're not going to find any protection for the edges with the Gelaskin, and the front piece will not protect your screen either; it simply covers the bezel around the screen. I didn't apply the front piece because I felt like it would be more distracting than the black bezel and it also won't line up with the Gelaskins wallpaper if you rotate the Tab. But if you wanted to apply the front piece, it does have cut-outs for the front-facing camera and the ambient light sensor.
If you're looking for more complete coverage you should definitely consider something else. Personally, I just wanted something that would look nice and protect the back side from scratches when I put the Tab down on a surface, and for that purpose the Gelaskin is perfect. It also adds no bulk and I bet it would easily fit inside of a case if you wanted to do something like Gelaskin on the back + transparent TPU case and maybe a screen protector for more complete protection. At that point the Gelaskin would just be there for looks, though.
Here's a couple photos of mine:
The photo of the camera/flash makes it look like the skin is not perfectly aligned around the flash, but this is just because of the angle at which I took the photo. It's actually aligned just as perfectly as it is around the camera.
If anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer them.
If people are buying from the gelaskins.com website, then they should put in 500PXSKINS and save 15%. I am debating if I should get one.
I just saw these on the net and came here to see if anybody had gotten one. I really like the idea of these. Perhaps even a custom one as none of the models available is tacky and loud enough for my tastes. Oh, the possibilities.
Very much grateful for the pics and reviews. I think ill bite. I like to here things like the fit is so good I don't know how they did it. Thanks again.

Phantom Skinz Carbon Fiber Gunmetal Review & Pics

Well I decided a long time ago that I cannot stand the normal clear skinz. They way they make the phone look is horrendous to me. Just my .02, please don't bash. I did, however, find that the matte finish is a bit nicer but still love chromatics the best. With that said I decided to give the new Gunmetal look a try. I like the color, but not sure if I like it more than Black. I feel I may get bored of it over time. We'll see!
Pros - Good feel, like all other Carbon Fiber skins.
- Still has a good grip with the textured skin.
- Good scratch proofing. I really don't see anything getting thought this. NOTE: I had one of these on a previous phone. Phone fell about 3.5' to a hard textured tile floor and no damage was done. This does NOT mean this is a case replacement. Just that it does provide some protection beyond scratches.
- Fairly easy to install. Just line the pieces up (Back is a little tough to get strait) and then use a hairdryer to soften up the skin. Once its warm and soft then just mold it around the edges. Make sure to use the hairdryer on ALL surfaces and rub them to cure them in place.
Cons - The edges are sharp. Not enough to cut, but can make the phone uncomfortable for some people to hold onto. Can also snag and peal the corner off.
- The edges tend to pick up lint. This only lasts the first week or so.
- Outer Edge alignment. As you can see in the pics, the top/bottom/side edge pieces are not long enough to wrap around and meet. There is a gap at all 4 corners. To me, this part is unacceptable.
Would I buy it again? No, not if the edge pieces do not align (I'm emailing to ask about this, maybe they will fix it?). Would I recommend? Yes if you don't care about the corner gaps, no if you do.
And here are the pics:

Setzer175,
Thank you for the unbiased review. I wanted to address a couple of the concerns that you highlighted.
1) End pieces no being long enough - We design every kit so that the side pieces must be heated and stretched to join the top and bottom edge pieces. Since we have 20+ types of films for each device, some colors will need to be stretched slightly more than others. In fact, our "Metallic Colored Chromatics" hardly need stretched at all. On the other hand, White Carbon Fiber needs stretched the most. In your specific case, you should still be able to peel your side strips up, warm them and slightly stretch it to perfectly join to the Top and Bottom pieces.
2) Sharp edges - I use my thumbnail (the top of it) and rub it back and forth over any "sharp" edge after I re-heat that spot with a hairdryer. If you do this, you will notice that the "sharpness" is dramatically diminished. Also, the sharpness will wear down over time.
Thanks again for the review and feel free to contact us directly if you still have any concerns.

So you are telling me that several days later I can peal back, REHEAT the sides, and stretch them into place? Please confirm this before I attempt. I do not want to wait for a replacement. Thank you.
P.S. Thank you for responding to random review. #1 in customer service as always!
It looks very nice. If it were on sale I'd probably buy it.
I'm liking the fitment compared to the Skinit skin that I have even though mine isn't a carbon fiber design. The Skinit doesn't even come with the sides. But does come with the front and the skin for the battery on mine is 2 pieces.
Thanks for this review.

[Q] [Idea] Gold/Silver ring on the bezel ??

Hey everyone,
I recently got a black Moto 360, while I love the subdue look of it, I like to spice it up a little. What I would like to do is glue on a silver or gold ring onto the flat part of the bezel around the display. Made a mock-up of what I want to do with a photo editor. Has anyone seen something similar available for sale ? I have seen slickwraps vinyl sticker which covers the sides, but I would like real metal ring for the top part. Wondering if a jeweler will be able to make one ?

I fear that a jeweler could be an expensive route, if you find out a quote, please let me know!
Nice. But have a feeling this would be one of those ideas that looks good in principle, but practically not so good. It would need to be super thin for starters otherwise it's going to interfere with swiping on the screen. Secondly how would it affix? Again, would need some super fine sticky stuff which is peelable.

Yeah, I think a better solution would be to have someone polish the outer rim. It would be very difficult, since the glass raises up above the frame, so the chances of scratching the glass are pretty high. Just a thought. It does look good though. I also have a black Moto 360, and have found myself eyeing the silver ones...

I ordered a black one originally and so did my father in law. However I cancelled and ended up ordering a silver one. When I see the father in law's black 360 I have to say, I do prefer the silver. I'm glad I went for it in the end.

I don't think thickness would be too much of an issue. I have seen metal / alloy washers n stuff which are less than 0.5mm, and since the glass of the watch sticks out about 1mm from the bezel, having a very thin metal ring shouldn't interfere much. Same goes for glue, there are plenty of products out there. I'm pretty sure it can be done in a way that doesn't interfere with the normal swiping / operation of the watch. The bigger issue is getting such a ring made.

interesting, yes I think that could work better (assuming I can find someone to polish it without damaging anything). However I would like to keep the watch as stock as possible.
You can get gold vinyl wrapvthe kind they use on cars .. You would have to be meticulous about trimming it and would have to use a sharo exacto and hair dryer
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Free mobile app
This is exactly what I'm looking for too. Should be simple enough, just need dimensions and a metal shop.

Have you found a solution yet?
I am super curious to see if this idea can be brought to life! There are so many things I'd like to customize to make the 360 even cooler, but I am afraid I don't have the requisite skills to do it myself
A thin ring of brass would be nice for a gold look, I might try this when I get mine. I have a CNC that I can cut it on, just adhering it would be a problem, a few dabs of super glue might just be enough and wouldn't be permanent either.

Ideal case, except for the price

So this is the ideal case that I can find for the P9 - it doesn't cover up the Leica camera branding, which if I'm honest, is important to me. Plus it's leather, supposedly real leather.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/16209523...49&var=461055737790&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
But at $62 Australian - it's just a bit too expensive I think.
I just love the fact that the Leica branding is visible though, brown leather with black camera bar with Leica on it... so nice!! Interested if other people have seen similar cases or if people think I'm being to vain!
Anyways I think I love it!
edit: I just remembered when I purchased my Huawei P9 i recieved a $50 voucher for use on ebay!! I think I just found out what I am going to use it on! Happy days!!!
The pictures in this item description are identical - the price is not I'm thinking about buying from Aliexpress. Just a tip for you before you part with way too much for the same cover

bloody out of stock...lol
Got mine today.
Sorry to say but imo It's NOT worth $62AUD. It is nice, and does smell like leather, the cutouts for fingerprint reader and cameras are decent. But it does add some rather large bulk to the phone, and when handling the phone you got the weird sensation that the phone itself "swims" around in the case (this is rather minor though, it's not like the phone can't stay put inside the cover).
Semi satisfied.
Oooooh hmmmmmmmm now I'm half way to sad. It looks so slim and sleek in the pictures. Sigh
Positives though;
The feel of the cover is great, I do believe it's some form of actual leather. And like you, I do too care for the Leica logo, the cover smartly does not obscure this part
The top of the phone is covered too, which is actually rather rare in these types of covers to my knowledge (I have 5 different snap-on covers like these, and they all just cover the back and sides).
The vol./power buttons are covered, but the action is nice - very responsive and easy to click. And it'll be easy to do small cuts with a scalpel or something, should you get tired of the covered buttons.
Hope it cheered you up somewhat
I got my cover today! It looks like an official Huawei cover from all the packaging. It fits great for me. I am not sure of the brown color but think I might try to get it a little darker. It's leather alright, I'm planning to test some acetone and oil to get it darker.
I love the extra size, I am team with very long fingers so it makes it easier for me to grip and use!

I have the same one and I agree - I am not convinced by the shade of brown they chose. It's not the most appealing, if you know what I mean! Would be interested in hearing if you have any success in changing the colour.
Ok so I'm figuring the process out but basically get a rough cotton cloth and some nail polish remover and rub it till the brown stuff starts to ball up and come off.
The keep rubbing!
Then get some coconut oil and rub it in with a different cloth. Keep applying more and more. The coconut don't come off or leave a residue on your hands or clothes. You can see the areas that I removed more of the original finish on my phone. I'm going to go back and use more acetone (nail polish remover) and oil it up again.
It's way easier to rub with the phone in the case. Just be careful with the acetone!
Anyways I am going to go back and repeat the process but this time knowing that it works. It should come up real nice, you can see the difference between the 2 pics, I'm excited for rougher, darker look to the case. I will update after I've had more time to do this properly, I just tried it in my lunch break today to see if I was crazy or if this method would work.
Interesting "case mod", wonder if I could do something similar to my black version (rough it up so to speak).

I purchased this case from eBay for £3.99 - and its not as nice as the pictures. It's quite thick, and makes the back of your phone seem quite "fat" as it magnify's everything.
I got this one

Will wait to see how it feels and looks, if I'm not satisfied I'll probably buy the "replica" . Really like the apple leather case so I hope it looks and feels the same.
Here is the case... I am very pleased with the aging effect from acetone and coconut oil

Question Official Pixel 6 Pro Case Disappointment

When I originally for this case, I www super happy with it.
It wasn't bulky, it fit snugly and it kept the panda aesthetic of the phone (the whole reason I got the white version).
Less than a week later, it's.. stained?
I work from home and don't go out much so I'm not even sure what this is. It's sitting on my desk most of the day.

No, it's not.
I posted it on reddit too to try to figure it out. Someone suggested possibly sharpie or pen ink but I've not used any and my phone usually sits on my desk (I work from home and use a laptop exclusively for work)
It just happened today but I have no idea when / what it is.
I've tried water / soap, rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover and none of it seemed to help which is making me question what it is even more.

Please don't refer to this milkish monstrosity as panda,
THIS
is panda
or this
Your example there is milkish, lightgrey, a joke. It's not white, it's not black, it's a monstrosity. Not to speak of this strange lightgrey upper portion that makes no sense at all. All that Google had to do was to make the upper portion uni-color black, but they failed, spectacularly.
I loved my Panda Pixels and it's a shame that Google buried them.
Ugh, I could start ranting about the P6 color choices this year, again.
It's a shame that we got to chose between dull, strange and sad.
Every color dulled down to the bones to some greyish, milkish madness; no saturation, no hue, no beauty. It's like a colorblind 80 year old decided on this years color palettes by randomly smashing his fingers on the "chose color" button at the end of the row, where the ones reside that nobody likes.

If you hate it that much slap a dbrand skin on it.
I originally got the stormy sky official case and loved it at first. However, after less than a week it started getting loose and shifted around the phone. There were even visible side gaps where dust and lint could get in. I got a Spigen Core armor to replace it which is way sturdier. That said, I liked the look and thinness of the official case. I'm considering the Bellroy leather case which was made in partnership with Google and looks to be a similar size and fit.
