Welcome to the Twisted Kernel. Most of you know me for my roms all the way back to the S4. So, I figured it was time to step
up my game and give building kernels a shot. Well, here is the outcome....................

@G.lewarne
@ktoonsez
@ShinySide

Special Notes
I have included a app called "C3 Toolkit". It is the only app that will let you change the kernel parameters and a crap
load of other VERY useful features. It may look intimidating at first, but once you mess with for a day or two its alot easier to use. Please feel free
to ask for help if you need it.
There is one setting in there that you must be very careful with...its called Entropy. Entropy has 5 presets. DO NOT select Extra large. If you do your
phone WILL crash and a hard reboot will boot it back up...But, you MUST go into C3 and reselect a preset or it will crash again. Please understand
what I just said. It WILL crash.....

About to drop V5 tomorrow ....I bypassed V4

This forum is dead too?

Seems like it. I was just on looking for a good kernel to replace the stock one to see if it will help battery life. Yours always worked great for me before. I am happy to see you have one for this. Just broke down and flashed new 5.1.1 after being on 5.0.2 for a while. Stock rooted currently. Might end up just going custom rom. Thank you for all your hard work. I assume this should work with DOJC. I guess we will find out ha ha

Release of V5
I will be releasing V5 tonight.....
BUT, due to the lack of involvement in all of my threads this will probably be the last update from me for a very long time.
Frustration doesnt even begin to describe the feeling I get when I spend ALL OF THIS TIME on a project.....
I really do appreciate the folks that do reply here and in my other threads.......
Due to getting myself in trouble I will not speak about the others.

Sorry to see you go. The whole development scene for the 16th has always been pretty barren for some reason. I appreciate all the hard work and wish you the best of luck.

OK folks.....
Tomorrow sometime I will be releasing V7.....yes, V7. It's a complete rebuild of DOL1 source with COF8 patches....lots of new stuff added.....
So stay tuned

V7
Here is the link to V7....................

wbruh, keep your head up. i wish i had you over in the tmo note 5 forums. tekhd is the lone survivor, and his rom is awewsome, but i just like variety and the chance to make a dev feel as important as they are
btw, i'm flashing your v7 in a min. thanks PLAYA
edit: not on my note, my sons s6 edge....

If you happen to like that, please tell me.

Looks nice,...
Wouldn't more efficient for everyone that creating CyanogenMod 5 ports to the GSM Hero to team together instead of creating five billion versions of the same thing?
Good work,
It's something I'm trying to do at the moment. Can you share the vendor tree that you used?
I'm trying to modify darchstars CDMA one and still trying to work out how it all fits together.

Just fork Darchstar's CDMA Hero Cyanogen github.
EDIT: I've just created a GSM Hero Cyanogen fork: link.
I don't mind of working together as I won't try to fix common bugs like bluetooth during calls.
Also note that I didn't make a fork of Darchstar's repository, in fact I learned today it exists. Instead I wrote some and modified some of the files needed for the compiling process. My goal as of now is to make a separate section at Cyanogen's sources specifically for the Hero.
So if you're interested, I can upload my work to the github.
I would be interested in your files. It all helps in the learning process.
Good work again

I'm using your OS atm very nice and smooth, my mate is using the cyanogen for the nexus 1.
Few bugs I have found:
-Google voice search doesnt seem to work I just get a force close message.
-The animated wallpapers dont seem to work.
Also is their a way of linking my contacts into facebook? cant work it out.
Apart from this all seems to be working so far I'll keep you updated but good job!
Thanks for the feedback! In the next version there will be updated kernel and I hope most stuff will work. As for the live wallpapers -- I did not enable them in the quest for lighter system But I will do so as it seems that with proper kernel our heroes can handle with that
Aaaah, can't wait till tuesday, I will pick he server with the least workload and give it a whole day of compiling

Any theme for this fabulous rom ???? I love black bar notification,
Bump for the new version ;P
Verification failed while flashing:
E:Corrupt file: system/media/audio/ringtones/LoveFlute.ogg
Link is up again, hope there won't be any problems now
I get the same error now, only on another file (system/xbin/irssi)
Everything is working now. Great rom so far, linpack score is a bit dissapointing though. With overclock it's an average of 2.9.
Forgot to enable JIT, linpack scores of 4.7 now!

Is this kernel only usable on a TELUS based stock ROM? and NOT a T-mobile based stock ROM?

[GUIDE][MULTI] Install Lastest MIUI v5

Hi,
I love the MIUI work, so I wanted to flash the lastest MIUI v5. Although there isn't any updated thread for this. So I decided to share with you
This builds are ported to our device by @santajin so a big thanks to him for porting it :highfive:
What you need:
Lastest MIUI v5 [4.1.10]
Official MIUI 4.2.2 GApps
Multi-Language for 4.1.10 [OPTIONAL]
How to install:
Download all necessary files
Copy them to your SDCard
Full Wipe [unless sdcard]
Flash the latest MIUI V5
Flash the GApps
Flash the Multi-Language [OPTIONAL]
Reboot and Enjoy!

multilang is a full complete package, so you dont have to install the base.
so if you want to use the multilanguage version, then flash it, boot it up and then flash the gapps zip. thats all.
@_MarcoMarinho_: I've installed Multi-Language for 4.1.10 and I've found one bug
Under extended call settings, I can't enable the caller id ... after tip on this, a fc is the
result ...
Phone app is hardly crashing ...
Can you fix it ?
Thx in advance ...
Best regards

slows down quite a bit some times. but overall pretty responsive.
also: landscape mode doesn't quite work. even when opening physical keyb.

This isn't a different ROM from santajin's MIUI, it's a guide and the links point to santajin's ROM anyway so there was no need to post in both threads. You didn't really need to post in every single thread in the forum either as it's clearly not a ROM problem therefore shouldn't be posted separately in each ROM thread. You even posted on my ROM thread a while back that you "can't manage [your] sim card contact but it'i the same with several custom rom", so why are you posting on every single ROM thread?
Also if you've ever signed into your phone with your Google account (which you must have done to use it properly) then there's absolutely no way that your contacts aren't backed up onto your account unless you've deliberately disabled this option, in which case more fool you.
I have no idea how to fix your SIM card problem (no, not ROM problem) but please stop posting to every single different ROM thread as it's clearly not a problem with any of the ROMs (other members have even managed to import SIM contacts from the ROMs you complain about). Just open a thread in the Q&A section so we can sort out your problem AWAY from "development", please. The only thing I can think of is that there are in fact no contacts on your SIM else it's just a compatibility issue with your SIM. If you want to discuss this, don't reply to this as I won't reply back. Open a new thread in the Q&A section and quote me there. Thank you.

Just to confirm that I have installed this usinf the Chinese TWRP version on 4.5.1 and it boots fine. Will have to wait a little while before giving any real feedback

Superb! Thanks flar it's running awesome!
tried it out now for a couple of hours. it's working flawlessly but i think your app needs to be updated.
@flar2 nice to see you here, thanks for kernel.
Works pretty with Magisk 13 + SafetyNet Patch.
Works great. I hope you add OC options soon (cpu & gpu).
However, I still get wifi issues. The connection drops randomly after a few minutes and I have to disable and enable wifi in order to get it working again. This is not related to your kernel, but I hoped it would somehow fix it.
Quite a few people are having the same issue. Hopefully it can be fixed with an update
