Bootloader unlocked how can we now access Service\Diag menus? - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi thanks to the wonderful Devs im bootloader unlocked.
I need to access Service codes for diag for fingerprint scanner and a couple of other bits to test.
How can I access them, they are still locked out. Do I need to edit a system file to unlock this feature that Verizon locked out.
Thanks

Change this file:
Code:
/efs/Carrier/HiddenMenu
from OFF to ON

Thanks Mate that worked fine.

Sorry to revive this thread but once we set the HiddenMenu to ON what is the correct code to get into the hidden menu?

Atm no, I think.

If you're not locked to any carrier, I don't see any reason why not.
Have you tried the official Sony unlock method? Your other option is via the testpoint method.

My bad, I didn't wrote sim locked..
It's carrier locked, and sim-lock is there for 24 months, the problem is I bought it in another country and in my country that carrier doesn't exist..
So the question is edited, can it be sim-unlocked (bootloader is irrelevant)
Then you'll need to use the Testpoint method. Contact Jinx13 or Alejandrissimo. They should be able to unlock it for you remotely for a small fee. Or use Omnius (again Paid).
And no, there's no free method to unlock your phone. But trust me, it's worth it.
Hope that helped. Cheers!
I already did contact jinx and he told me that if it's 12w14 or newer he can't unlock it :S
I'm not looking for a free method, I'm looking for a working method...
Off topic: Is it worth upgrading to ICS?
Damn, then you may be out of luck. Do ask around though.
And upgrading to ICS. Well, I have upgraded to the Generic Global World 4.0.4 and I must say I like it. My only issue is that my touchscreen isn't AS responsive as it was on GB.
There are others who couldn't/can't stand ICS and reverted back to GB after a few days with ICS. They felt that it lagged too much compared to GB etc etc.
To each his own. But I like ICS; that's just my opinion.
Cheers!
is there ANY other way?
is there anyone that has Emma and a working account and can remove the sim lock?
Also can these pay sites unlock it?
maybe fastgsm
I was looking for the exact same thing and found that fastgsm.com can unlock it with network codes.
It seems that we cannot currently unlock this phone model with our data cable method if the manufacturing date is later than 12W13, please contact [email protected] and ask for a refund. It would be possible to unlock this phone via Network codes, if there are unlock attempts left, for $59.99.

There is no known solution for disabled fastboot cases yet (Bootloader unlock allowed: No), as phones manufactured after 12W11 have enchanced type of security, for which there is no exploit yet.

It might remove the SIM-lock (I am not sure, which code you mean right now), but it will not enable fastboot and will not allow bootloader to be unlocked.

Would you at least bother mentioning your methods for this? Considering you haven't been around on this forum for long, I doubt any of your methods actually unlocks the bootloader.

Hi,
Thanks, i see there: http://www.fastgsm.com/en/sonyerics...-unlock-codes/network-unlock/flashing-debrand
Unlock codes. I read a lot, and i figured out that Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No means that fastboot disabled due to simlock..so if there's no simlock on the phone, the no changes to YES, so can unlock simply..If unlock allowed YES, then everyone successfully unlocked the bootloader in this forums. Am i wrong somewhere?

It does remove the SIM-lock, but fastboot is still disabled. Removing the SIM-lock does not activate fastboot nor does it change Bootloader Unlock Allowed to Yes.

[Q] Unlocking an LG P350 with unlock code?

Hi,
I paid for an unlock code from one of those services where you give them your IMEI number and they give you an unlock code. The problem is I cannot access this hidden menu that is supposed to appear when you enter 3845 # * 350 #
Did I make a mistake in flashing the GingerDX ROM before unlocking? Did I need to unlock it through the stock ROM first or does the ROM have nothing to do with this hidden menu?
Any help would be great, thanks.

Hey,
Try using these codes to access the hidden menu instead:
2945#*71001#
or
2945#*350#
If they don't work, maybe it would be a good idea to return the phone to the stock firmware. Often rooting can change the way the phone responds to certain commands and this is a pretty painless task.
I hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately neither of those codes work.
I'm going to try the stock ROM route, are these appropriate or is there a clean untouched original ROM around somewhere?

How to install CM11 on LT28AT

I just purchased one LT28AT(Sony Ion) from ebay and the seller unlocked it from AT&T for me. Now I am a T-mobile user. Since this phone is still running ICS, I have been trying to install CM11 on it but no luck. I was told that I need to root the phone first and then you are able to install a CM11 rom. I searched all threads here and googled related report. It seems no way to unlock this phone. However, I did see some people installed CM11 on their LT28AT and they also uploaded the videos on Youtube.
Any suggestion or feedback would be appreciated.

Even though Your phone is sim unlocked, You need to check if the bootloader is unlock able, then only You can install cm11. Google how to check if bootloader is unlock able.

LG g5 doesn't ask for unlock code

My LG G5 Ls992 doesn't prompt for unlock code and when I try to call a specific number for an unlock code prompt it says "Connection lost or invalid IMEI code"
Hi, I bought LG G5 Ls992 on ebay.com. Seller tolled me that it was paid of so I asked him to call sprint and unlock it, so he did it. But now phone only works on sprint card. When I put other carrier sim in it it doesn't ask for unlock code, on the status bar there is Sim card icon with an exclamation mark. I tried all this methods but no solution. Can u help me somehow?
lg g5 no prompt to unlock
I also have a sprint locked g5 that does not prompt for code with Verizon or att sim can anyone help I have the code just need somewhere to enter it
I'm pretty sure the ls992 does not prompt for an unlock code. There's a guide here on xda to unlock the phone yourself, it's fairly simple.

Yes zvc is only unlockable from remote unlock service on ebay but make sure they can unlock apn settings also or no mms or data.
Zvb-zv8 can use the free method available

Just make sure that it unlocks the apn settings. If its permanant. And for your info do not update ever again. Cause. The ones unlocked on zvb where undone by update. Thus relocking device. Some of the unlocks where also undone by factory resets.

Can this Pixel 2 XL device be bootloader unlocked? Currently locked. (How to check if a device can be bootloader unlocked - the seller does not know)
I am uploading an image of the fastboot (bootloader) mode.
This phone's model is G011C. Is there a way to tell by that?
Thanks!

Connect to wi-fi, enable Developer options, check to see if OEM unlocking is available to enable. If it is,
you can unlock by using unlock instructions found here and everywhere.
If that does not work, it's probably a Verizon version and not unlockable; however
there's an outside chance that a factory reset followed by enabling Dev Options might
allow unlock if it's possible.

It's probly Verizon if not unlocked by above. You can find out for sure by entering IMEI here: http://www.imeipro.info/check_lg.html
If it's VZN, that will show up in detail of report.
