S4 mini does not turn on, and does not work recovery mode. Works only download mode - Galaxy S 4 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have a problem with a s4 mini i9195.
The phone dones not start and don't start the recovery mode.
I try to flash a firmware with Odin, but don't worws, Odin it blocks on:"initialization..." or "SetupConnection...".
I think this is due to the fact that it is not active the USB Debugging on the phone.
It is possible? if yes, how i can fix the problem? can i activate the usb debugging in download mode?
Thanks in advance

Same problem here. Even playing around with pit-files etc didn't help.
Have you found a solution?

You guys might have tried it but i will still say it. Try antivirus off, Install kies and samsung drivers. Close Kies from task manager. Run odin as admin and Change USB slot or try another USB cable.
I got this initialize error two times and it scared the **** out of me, i thought my phone is gone. but by turning off antivirus and changing usb slot it work.
Hope you guys fix your phone

did anybody resolved this problem?

[Q] Possibly Fully Bricked - Any hope?

What I may have done wrong: I was trying to go back to stock because I couldn't get CWM to mount to the SD card. So I figured I would start from scratch.
I opened up ODIN, went into download mode, selected the PIT file and selected the TAR file. The thing was though, is that when I selected the PIT file, it automatically selected "Re-Partition Device". I didn't notice this until after I pressed Start. It ended up failing very shortly after it started, so I figured I'd try again without Re-Partioning. I selected the same files, and it flashed but it flashed weirdly. It only took a few seconds and then it said it was done but I remember it saying something like 0/0 completed or something.
SO NOW, when I connect it to my computer, it doesn't recognize the device at all. The phone is totally black. I've tried taking out the battery, sim card, connecting USB with both +/- pressed down and it still doesn't recognize it.
The worst thing about all of this? This was my brother's Christmas present and like the idiot I am, I ruined it.
I've read mixed things about a USB jig - some say that if I can't get into download mode without a jig then it's useless.
I'm open to anything at this point. I just want to get my brother his phone... If it does end up being that the phone is dead (we bought it at Best Buy), what should I say to them? Should I go through Best Buy or T-Mobile?
*Any* help would be appreciated.
A usb jig may work ! And you can make yours by yourself

take out battery, hold down power button/volume up/down
if you feel a vibration, the phone is not dead
if you don't take it to bestbuy and tell them the phone broke itself
Tried this - no vibration whatsoever. I'm not sure when you wanted me to plug in the power. If I just plug it into the USB without the battery the computer recognizes when I let go of the volume buttons. Like it's disconnecting from the machine.
It comes up as 'qhsusb_dload'.
Also, do you have experience with Best Buy? Are you sure I'd go through them and not T-Mobile?
QHUSB_DLOAD stands for
qualcomm high speed usb download mode
sounds fully bricked to me(dont quote me on it)
what this means is that if you send it back to bestbuy/tmo/samsung they will not know if its rooted or not, so they cant refuse to fix it
again, wait for someone of more knowledge to confirm QHUSB_DLOAD = full brick(although im pretty sure it is)

actually, i just found another thread with similar situation

**UPDATE** I closed Oden and killed all processes related to Kies. Then with my phone still in download mode, I quickly unplugged and plugged the cord into the PC's USB port. Odin was able to communicate with the phone and flash the firmware successfully. Hopefully this info will be useful to some other soul and save their butt.
I think I may have bricked my phone also. I was flashing the latest firmware also, it almost completed and then Odin said it failed. Now the device is still in download mode, Odin can't seem to establish a connection, and I'm afraid to pull the USB cable out or power-cycle the phone. Anyone have any ideas? This really sux

this guy has his phone in download mode still
so he was able to rescue it, now that your phone does not even respond, then you should have no problem getting it fixed by samsung(whether directly, thru tmobile or bestbuy)

keep in mind
DO NOT TELL THEM YOU WERE USING ODIN/TRYING TO ROOT THE PHONE OR ANYTHING
just tell them this happened when you were browsing or something

[Q] [HELP!] Phone stuck on Galaxy S II screen

Like the title states I'm stuck on the splash screen. What makes my problem a little tricky is that I can not access recovery and I can not use odin, because the samsung drivers are not installed and will not install until I plug in a booted samsung phone into my computer to prompt the driver install. So, unless there is a way to install the drivers without plugging in the phone or another way to flash cwm (which i lost on a bad rom flash) I am really screwed. Please any help I can get would be greatly appreciated!!

update: Sprint ended up just giving me a new phone at no charge! problem solved I guess. thanks for everyone's help
Navigate to where you have the drivers on comp. Open the file and look for the one ending in .exe click it and install manually. That should let your comp see your phone.

If you don't have the driver package search Samsung kies download drivers and use above instructions.
Heres a link for the drivers.

Help please bootloop

Hey guys I just picked up a Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. I tried rooting it and installing a custom rom but ran into a problem. The tablet will not power on but if I plug it in to the computer or wall outlet, it turns on and off with the Firmware upgrade encountered an issue message. It literally flashes on and off with this message. I have tried getting into download mode and cwr but no luck. I also tried Kies but since the tablet wont stay on, it tells my my device is not supported. I spent countless hours searching the web for a solution. Anyone have any ideas?
This is the screen that just bootloops nonstop. http://imgur.com/YhvmL85

The tablet will do nothing but turn on and off when I plug it in to the wall or the pc. I cannot make it do anything. When its not plugged in to anything it will not power on.

I have. Since the tablet just continues to turn off and on, Kies cannot establish a solid connection to do anything.

[Q] Not turning on no download mode no recovery mode

Phone: SGH-T989
State: No Download mode no Recovery mode.
Kies Emergency firmware Status : Device version isnt updated.
Problem:
the phone is stuck in a state where the PC cant recognise it, when I plug it into the USB I get a sound that recognizes that somethings plugged in and then in device manager it becomes Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM7).
tried flashing by odin3 v1.85 but didnt initial but stop on setup connection after checking MD5 leaves MD5.. however everytime i tried the power button with up down button; it went Yellow with COM 7 back.
How did it comes to this state:
I was updating firmware and my computer went off. after logged back on i m stuck with a blank phone. Dont know if its called bricked but trying hard to get it back..
would be a great help if some one gives any idea to fix this problem..
Thanks in advance
Sounds like a hard brick. Interruptions during firmware flashing are usually not good.
Are you ending all kies processes in your task manager on the pc before trying Odin?
And did you try different Odin versions?
---------- Post added at 08:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:49 PM ----------
Flashing 4.1.2 with Odin requires Odin 3.04 or 3.07. 1.85 usually won't work.

Bootloop on download mode.

Hello everyone,
I've tried to flash a rom using odin on my J610G and it failed. Now while trying to get into download mode the device restarts automatically. It's recognized by the computer but it won't stay on download mode. It won't boot into the OS since it prompts "An error has ocurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
I tried the smart switch but it won't stay on it, It keeps restarting. Any suggestion ?
I have the exact same problem too! It's so frustrating coz I just can't get my phone to stay on Odin mode without it restarting to that stupid error screen:crying:
Simple. Charge your battery with the mains charger, its flat.
Did you find a fix?

I got the same problem. I had to extract the battery and charged it with a external battery charger, because if I tried to connect the phone with the normal usbC cable, the continued with the boot loop y download mode.
did you find a solution sir?
