I've tried and installed a few ROM's from this website and since today I can't seem to charge my HTC when the battery is running low.
Whenever i put it on Charge on the cable it won't show the charging icon on my phone and it doens't gain any energy.
This is what happens:
When i plug my phone to adapter the "ring" on the HTC touch diamond glows 3(!) times which means it charges it for aslong the ring glows (3 times). But after 3 glows it doens't glow anymore and which means it stops charging.
Also when the device is OFF and it stops charging after 3 times the ring glows (about 10 secs?) i can press the ON button and it charges it again for 10 seconds. The funny thing is that it also re-starts itself automatically every like .. 1-2 minutes and shuts off again.
Does anyone know why this happens? Please help

have you tried replacing the cable, cradle or even the adapter? Check their contacts or pins carefully! Maybe you got dust particles in there.
Oh, does it get charged upon connection to your computer? Are you using the same cable?

No it doensn't get charged when i connect it to the computer. And yes i tried several other cables and connected them to computer and adapter but still not charging.
I really don't know what to do
hey buddy if u r using htc diamond i m sure after changing the rom u wouldnt b able to charge from pc bcoz some cooks use a tweak which disables charging through pc...do one thing download advanced config 3.3 or 3.2 then go to power management u can find a option to enable or disable charging from pc....

I can't get my phone ON because the battery is out and i can't charge it because it won't let me.
What do i do?

When the phone is turned off put it in charge then turn on your phone,go to backlight options and there should be "When device is turned on,do not charge the battery when connected to the PC" untick this then re try

Yep i done that, but my phone can't get charge from anywhere. Not from USB to PC and nor from just putting it in the adapter.

Maybe is the cable...a normal mini-usb cable is good..and i think you could buy one of them at a cheap price

I've used short, long, medium cables, and I've also used different sort of adapters but nothing seems to work.
The only thing that COULD be it is either something wrong in the ROM or the battery.
First time i heard of this.
1) It wont charge from the adapter or the pc via usb
2) The charging led shows action for a short time then stops
When the phone is OFF it should charge regardless of what modifications have been done to the operating system since the OS is not active.
Have the phone inspected especially the mini usb port, i think its not just the battery.
It could be either the mini usb port or the battery or the charging circuit in the phone needs a part to be changed.
It looks like a hardware problem.
On the flipside, wherever you get the phone inspected bring the battery with you and see if it will charge on their universal chargers.
Most cellphone techinicians have a universal charger which will charge any battery even without the cellphone it was designed for.
See if it will fully charge and then insert it into the phone.
Now if the battery did charge fully and the phone doesnt have a hardware problem, then you can conclude that its the rom.
Go back to standard official rom from HTC and observe if its behaving normally.
But im betting there is a hardware problem.

Sometimes i get the same problem, but i keep on trying to charge, acn then it do!!! you have to be persistent.... leave the phone pluged int AC over the night... try to remove the battery while charging... one time, it will start charging... THAT IS what happens to me... (after upgrading rom and spl)

I am having the same problem. Now my battery can be charged just with the universal portable charger. I take out my battery from Handset and plug it into Universal Charger. Actually my problem started after the uninstalling the Android Nand.
After that I tried different roms but problem is still there.

somehow I was able to power the device without the battery, it was just plugged.
I was able to see Samsung screen. So, my device does receive power/current from the cable but does not charge
Please help me, I'm tried to swap batteries

May be your USB charging cable is busted? Try another samsung charging cable.Good luck.

First clean your usb port contract
Second Always Use LG/BlackBerry/Sony USB cables instead of samsung one.(specifically for N7100)

after replacing the screen on my phone i cant get it to charge correctly. usually it says charging slowly although sometimes if i push the cord really hard it will say charging.. it doesnt matter what charger or cord i use. i installed ampere and sometimes it will show a charging voltage of 3000 then quickly drop to about 540 then settle around 170 sometimes it will go all the way down to 50 amps.. it takes the phone about an hour to charge 15 percent.. i have tried everything i can think of, i thought the charging port was damaged so i installed a new one and got the same results, i have tried several chargers on different outlets, still nothing.. it seems that the phone thinks its charging by usb instead of a wall outlet most times, but even when it recognizes that its a wall outlet, even my fastcharging adapter nothing changes. any ideas what the problem could be?

So for about few days I have strange charging "bug".
I'm using supplied adapter and cable and while charging sometimes it just stops. It can happen every 30 seconds, it can happen after half an hour. It stops charging and won't continue till I unplug and plug charger again. It can't be cable/connector problem, because if I wiggle a cable while it's charging - it won't stop. If I wiggle after it stopped charging - it won't continue. And sometimes when it stops an error shows up saying I should use supplied charger. I though it may be CM13 bug of some kind, but after upgrading it still persists. Even if I charge phone turned off - it sometimes it stops charging at random. I tried charging from battery pack using same cable - no problem, no stops. I tried using same charger to charge battery pack - still no problem. When I charge it from PC using same cable - it charges! I realized that it may be quickcharge error of some kind (I tried using 1A adapter and got no problems).
I asked this question on reddit and there is at least one more user with this "bug". He's using official rom and haven't found a solution also. Yesterday I plugged phone to charge at 30%, repluged few times when it stopped till 70% just to wake up today with 16% battery. This is very frustrating. Can anyone know the fix?
I'm having some problems with my wall charger or phone, the battery notification icon doesn't even change when i plug it in. Pluging to the computer works as expected, the icon changes to the charging icon.
I thought the charger was dead so i tried on a friend's zenphone 3, it seems normal on his phone, right on the lock screen it says it is charging (that doesn't happen on my moto z).
I turned off my phone and connected to the wall, the led turned on and it was charging, so it is not completely dead...
Turned the phone on and still no indication it was charging. So i opened the battery status and it says it is charging, it is VERY slow (still at 25% after many minutes) but it says there it is charging.
Unfortunately i couldn't try another charger yet. I haven't modded this phone in any way, still, could it be a software issue? It even got an OTA update yesterday but it didn't solve the problem.
Insert the pin in your​ device properly or it will charge slowly.
