So for about few days I have strange charging "bug".
I'm using supplied adapter and cable and while charging sometimes it just stops. It can happen every 30 seconds, it can happen after half an hour. It stops charging and won't continue till I unplug and plug charger again. It can't be cable/connector problem, because if I wiggle a cable while it's charging - it won't stop. If I wiggle after it stopped charging - it won't continue. And sometimes when it stops an error shows up saying I should use supplied charger. I though it may be CM13 bug of some kind, but after upgrading it still persists. Even if I charge phone turned off - it sometimes it stops charging at random. I tried charging from battery pack using same cable - no problem, no stops. I tried using same charger to charge battery pack - still no problem. When I charge it from PC using same cable - it charges! I realized that it may be quickcharge error of some kind (I tried using 1A adapter and got no problems).
I asked this question on reddit and there is at least one more user with this "bug". He's using official rom and haven't found a solution also. Yesterday I plugged phone to charge at 30%, repluged few times when it stopped till 70% just to wake up today with 16% battery. This is very frustrating. Can anyone know the fix?

Since two day or so I'm experiencing weird charging problems!
- I can't charge the phone when its on with the wall charger.
- I can charge the phone via usb, but it doesn't get recognized anymore and it keeps telling me "not charging", but it charging (actually very very slowly)
- The only way to charge the phone is switching it off, but it doesn't charge to 100%, max 80% or so.
- The battery stats do not reset, it tells my I'm almost two days on, but the phone was three times off and I tried to charged it serveral times.
Someone has an idea what this could be or is facing similiar problems? Battery broken? Usb broken?

So this is the problem: my ZL displays the charging light, it appears to be charging, but does not charge. I always had problems with charging, having to wiggle the connection or something for it to work, but not this type of problem. Sometimes it goes up for like 1%, then down again, wiggling between 10% and 20% battery. This happened in the last 3 hours, i switched cables, wall plugs, etc. Still the same. What can i do? When i keep it plugged it does not discharge, but i'm afraid that if it gets to 0%, it'll die. What can be the problem? Please help me

Need some inputs before i zero down the problem
1) Are you using the stock charger that came with your phone. If so there is every possibility either the charger head or usb cable has gone faulty.
2) Type *#*#7378423#*#* and goto battery test and check its health condition. If it says condition is good then the fault is with your charger
3) Try using a charger which is a 1500ma charger.The normal charger supports only 800ma/500ma so your mobile will not be able to draw enough current from it and usually takes more time to charge or the charging rate with be equal to the discharging rate like in your case.

I had the same problem just recently - phone wouldn't charge to above 5% or so (if I was lucky) - all original charger. When I plugged in the charger, the led light flashed red, then another color (green or yellow, can't remember), and then it didn't charge.
I actually had some problems with charging a couple of times before - it went on and off like 5-6 time, but then it did start to charge normally after a while. This last time, I tried to charge it for hours without any luck.
If i booted it up, it sometimes charged to 4-5%, then it would stop/start/stop/start endlessly. The same thing happened when I connected the phone to my computer, the USB fell off/on/off/on endlessly. I thought it was a faulty cable / charger first, but this happened to all cables and chargers I tried. I then thought it was the USB-port on the phone. Or a faulty battery.
After a while, it mostly stopped at 1-2% - sometimes immediately. I noticed that after using the "battery button" to hard reset the phone, I always seemed to get a few %'s of charge, and it didn't just blink immediately when plugging in the charger.
I had even written my problem description and was about to send the phone back to the retailer, when I did one last try of factory resetting the phone from the recovery, wiping everything. The problem still existed when I booted the phone, however, entering the recovery again after factory reset - I actually noticed that the phone charged above 5% this time. Leaving it on charging while in recovery, it got up to 8%, and then I thought the problem was fixed. Booting again, still same charging problem. I then factory reset again, and tried recovery again... Leaving the charger on - I managed to charge it to 100%. After this, I've never had any problem charging the phone. :|
I don't know what solved the problem, it could be only charging from recovery, or it could be that the full wipe deleted some battery stats or something? I did install an app to wipe battery stats after the problems occured, it also showed the charging rate of the battery, and it went up and down like crazy when I had the problem.
I don't really know if this is of any help, but I had PhilZ recovery at least which I managed to charge with.
You can try any methods, but i realy think that it because bad accumulator.

If it is not help - your way is go to the service.
Usually it the problem with accumulator or power controller.
Start from yesterday, my phone wont charge with the stock charger it told me to use a compatible charger. I have tried 3 differet USB cable but none of them work. Also ihave the quick charger on my car, it was working fine before, but now it will Not show the plus sign next to the charging icon and the battery % drops even with the charger pluged in. Any one knows what's happening?

I have exactly the same Problem! I can only charge the phone, if the lipo is fully discharged! And only the ASUS Qick charger works for me.
I also monitored, that the USB at the phone is always On, also, if the phone is powered off. Do that the phone, itself dischares..
Have anybody an solution?
My phone doesn't charge with any quick chaegers… only work woth normal chargers

I've occasionally had this problem---a battery icon with a "!" in it appears and says to use a compatible charger. This mostly happens for me with the stock charger. I've found the most likely thing to fix it is unplugging the charger from the wall for 20-30 seconds to let the capacitors fully discharge, and then plug it in again.
Sometimes it has been due to the charger partially unplugged from the wall, or the usb cable partially unplugged at one end.
I hope this helps, as the first few times it happened to me I was worried the usb port in the phone might be going bad.
I have problem with both original and non original chargers occasionally. The trick for me is to unplug the cable and re plug. Problem solved.

My phone was now fully charged. After an full discharge of the LiPo. Now it has 85% . and then i plug in the charging cable nothing happens. Nö recharge. So i must wait that the phone is fully discharged, and then i can charge it aging. I think On my phone is the charging controller damaged.
so lately my phone has been dying suddenly when it reaches 20-30ish % i've read and it seems that the solution is a battery change, that's fine. but recently i'm having a bigger problem, this is because my phone doesnt charge, i connect the usb and it shows the orange light but it simply wont charge, sometimes charges like 5 or 6% then stops and starts to drop like if there's no charger plugged, i've tried with different usb cables and with different chargers and it's the same. also with some usb cables the charging light starts to blink like if i disconnect and connect the cable everytime, so mi questions is : is the problem related to the battery thing? or maybe is the usb port of my phone, and what should i do?

If you already were thinking your battery was going, it's definitely the most likely suspect. If you can get it booted, try installing an app that judges battery health, (try this - https://play.google.com/store/apps/...droid&pcampaignid=APPU_1_wisuV_aWB4Tbe4mpjogP), and see what it says.
So I got a problem with charging this phone. I noticed it like month or so ago, but it wasn't any dealbraker and it didn't occur nearly as much so I just ignored it. At first when I plugged it in to charge it charged for like hour or so and then it would "disconnect" ie stopped charging while plugged in in AC. Today it started to be much more aggressive then that. I plugged it in to charge and it wokes up screen on and off (charging-not charging) and goes like that for a period of time, untill it stops and continues to charge normally. I thought the kernel (butterfly and dragon.). That I have been using are to blame, but after factory resetting it stil occurs. I tried factory charger and bunch of others from different manufacturers, but still the same.
Any and all help is much appreciated.
