I'm sure there will be if the user base calls for it. Hasn't been made yet because the device technically doesn't launch until tomorrow on T-Mobile.

I'm curious if the T-Mo version will work flawlessly with AT&T. I've heard the Sprint and Verizon devices can be buggy.

The unlocked version should work flawlessly on AT&T already.

That it does but due to my wedding in three weeks followed by an expensive honeymoon, I lack the funds to purchase an unlocked one from anywhere other than BestBuy currently.
They say they'll eventually carry unlocked 10s, but really, who knows? They will have the T-Mo version though.

In the meantime, everything you read for the u.s. unlocked version translates directly to the T-Mobile version.

Can someone who got the T-Mobile HTC 10 today tell me what they put for the receipt number when they registered for the free ice view case and charger?
Thanks lol

I just put in the Trans #, they require a scan of the receipt anyway, so I recon it's just to cross check.
The proof of purchase will be the scanned document.

The only T-Mobile apps on the phone are the T-Mobile visual voicemail app and the T-Mobile account app.
Edit: Their are actually a few more T-Mobile apps, I forgot because I disabled them lol.

Even with the unlocked version we still had to go through HTC Dev to unlock the bootloader to install TWRP. I am willing to bet that it will be the same with the T-Mobile version.

Query Regarding Getting the Desire from London

Well the topic is about the Desire and how to get it but I was not sure which forum to put it in so posted it here.
Well my Brother is moving to London for 2 years. Now he has his N95 (unlocked) which he would like to continue using as he has his paid apps installed on it and stuff.
Now he's getting a HTC Desire on contract. So If he uses the Contract Sim in his N95 and sends back the Desire to me here in India, I could unlock it and use it with any data carrier here in India right?
Yes you could unlock / debrand the Desire and use it on another network.

Oh and one more thing.
Some guy on tech enclave was saying that if you unlock your phone using the unlock code the phone will once again get locked after I update my phone software to Froyo.
Is that true? I thought this only happened in iPhones? If it's true what are my alternative means of unlocking?
Thank you everyone
Simply re use the same unlock code you originally used to unlock the phone and you'll be fine.

[Q] Is there any way to SIM unlock the Dinc2 by myself?

I've been trying to do this forever. I'm trying to use it in Canada, I already know it wont work CDMA but will on GSM/Global. Its S-Offed and I know I will probably need to be on the stock ROM so I got back to stock. I can't pay for the service cause I'm a student and need that 10 bucks. Help please?

I have never been with Verizon so that choice is out of the question. I guess I need to find the cheapest vendor selling the codes.

Just FYI
As of like a week ago unlocking without the carrier's consent is illegal and you can be sued....... Just saying

Maybe for you Americans by US based carriers.
I didn't buy the phone from Verizon. I don't live in the USA. I don't intend to use the phone on any US carrier. Who will sue me again and what law have I broken?
Also I'm pretty sure the law states that it is for devices purchased after last Saturday. Hopefully there aren't a lot of people buying brand new Dinc2s.
Alright, I guess that's it then. Would anyone be able to direct me to a reputable and cheap unlocking service?

should i purchase the international or USA version of the note 7?

in terms of rooting which version should I purchase? I heard that the USA version has a locked bootloader which means it is not rootable correct? Is it impossible to unlock the bootloader unless Samsung does something or..? I would assume that since people are going so far as to refund their phones instead of waiting for an unlocker to be released if that is even possible.
I'm waiting to buy international version of phone with Xynos Chip and no AT&T bloatware. We will probably get better battery life and faster updates. We will lose HD and Wifi calling but no biggie IMHO.

Having done development work in this field, I feel obligated to tell you that's not exactly true. Hd voice consists of two voice codecs - AMR Wideband, and AMR narrowband. These codecs do not explicitly require VoLTE to function. In fact, you can make "HD Voice" calls over 4G HSPA/HSPA+ using the narrowband version of the codec.

Yeah everyone dumbs down their definitions for the general public.
Basically, telephony in general has always had an 8khz spectrum width for audio. This was manly due to the fact it's small and low bandwidth. With the advent of 3.5g (hspa/hspa+ and lte) bandwidth is drastically increased. This allows for a doubled (16khz) spectrum width as there's plenty of bandwidth for it.

For AT&T and Verizon, correct. T-Mobile uses HD Voice over their 3G network, and you get better sounding calls when talking to another T-Mobile subscriber (I understand they will eventually bridge HD Voice to other carriers). VoLTE for T-Mobile (Advanced Calling for VZW) allows you to keep your LTE signal while on a call, as opposed to dropping down to 3G.

I can purchase an international version on eBay, there is one currently for 789$ but there is only gold platinum available and the seller ships from NY.... i want to get this but unsure if it is a fake phone or something ><
The Phone may be region locked. Mine (South East Asia) came with a card that says, the Phone needs to be using SEA sim card for the first boot up.

I'm in the same boat, $789 seems lucrative, but no warranty so not sure should take that risk or not. I'm waiting for B&H to go on sale at least they provide their own 1 year warranty.

"Network Unlock" App Installed with Android 10 Update

Hi All:
After I updated to Android 10, I noticed an icon for Network Unlock in my app drawer, but it went away soon after the apps were "optimized." It still shows up in my apps settings under "all", but I cannot access it.
I have a AT&T branded N975U running BSL7. Anyone have any idea what this app is or how to access it?
Thanks in advance!
On my T-mobile version it is under network settings under more connection settings

tmo has the option in settings.. it uses the unlock app.. before tmb used to have their own app but newer devices its integrated..
it will let u unlock given your device is eligible.. vzw devices however dont have the option since according to vzw after so many days it will be automatically unlocked so no need to include it in settings like tmb does

im sure theres a time requirement.. most carriers have them.. i would check online for tmb device unlock policies if u want specifics.. every carrier has their unlock policies online.. its the best way to fibd out since most the time ppl on the internet will just tell u wat they believe it is and even reps half the time make stuff up to get you off the phone n dont actually look up the policies.. this is coming from a quality rep for a major carrier lol
Sent from my SM-N976V using Tapatalk
Thanks, yeah I checked in their site and it says device must be fully paid off and active for 40 days for it to be eligible for network unlock.
Also they only let you unlock 2 phones in a year or line of service. What I find interesting is someone was able to unlock One plus 7 pro McLaren within a week of buying it.... Such inconsistencies and mysteries we may never know the answer for[emoji3]
