I've downloaded the philz recovery to odin flash it to my phone, but it doesnt show up after I click AP on ODIN, even though i have TWO philz recovery files in the folder. I tried removing ".md5" from the name and it turned into a zip file and that didnt help at all. The problem I'm having is with oDIN. If i try to flash "L710-ND8-Bootloader" I get a fail. It's good you're getting a fail. This doesn't apply to the L710T Model. Simply go to post #4 of my thread and there is a link to a tutorial on how to flash with the L710T Model. I'll update the OP to include this information so no one gets confused.

I own a p5220 too, here whats I recommend you to do, download stock firmware here:
I THINK YOU BETTER DOWNLOAD ANDROID 4.4.2 KIT KAT VERSION AND I CAN GIVE YOU THE ROOT FILE I USED ON MY DEVICE!
Firmwares for P5220 *You will need to register* :
Gt-P5220:http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-P5220/
and choose the one matches your region and flash it via odin (extract the .tar.md5 from the zip and select pda and tick auto reboot and F.Reset Time)
and you will get a total clean stock recovery and maybe a stock clean rom too.
then here is whats next,
download this, its a TWRP Recovery for P52xx series: chrome://mega/content/secure.html#!kEUzAS5a!a6TA0xuSg-pEYxSmZxnjmcB7cNOwRCZ_MqMiwXvD65c
extract the .tar.md5 from the zip and flash it with odin (Untick auto reboot) and it in to the pda section and flash it.
you should get the twrp recovery.
and you should be able to boot into twrp recovery
UPDATE.ZIP (THE ROOT FILE FOR ANDROID KITKAT p5220)

when i try to backup my ROM, it brings System and System Image in the menu options.

but the system will be unstable because you changed the androd version from 10 to 11
so do a clean installation much safer
Most S10 users will never wipe their devices (I haven't ever for that matter, too many settings to wade through) so going from 9 to 11 has been absolutely fine.

Yes, I already managed to fix it and installed the firmware. But never got around to installing TWRP. After I install TWRP on the phone, I start a cycle of reboots and nothing else, and so I've reflashed and tried differently every time, but still can't get TWRP installed. Maybe you know how to solve this problem?

Type this on Google: brp 3.5.2 v2.7 pling
And download exactly that version.
This TWRP is for Miui 12.0.x and custom rom based on that.
