Samsung S6 SM-G920P SPRINT stuck on samsung logo on boot - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

I bought 2 Galaxy S6 devices, unlocked by the store I bought them from. 3 days ago my wifes phone rebooted and came up with the following error:
KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock.
I tried doing the smart switch restore, but the app doesn't like my model/SN combination. I got ODIN and a Lollipop 5.11.1 firmware for my model, flashed it using the ODIN flash procedure, that was successful, once my phone power cycled it is now stuck on the SAMSUNG logo startup screen and will not boot any further, the error messages have gone away. I can get it into recovery and download mode, but not sure what else to do to fix this bootup problem. Maybe the bootloader is toast?

KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING ---> its not error and not important just a message that you use Custome Kernel or Recovery.
Go to Recovery and do Wiping (Cache,Data,All) and reboot it should boot.
if not download latest ROM (PD3 or PD2) and flash using ODin

OK, I have found a few different ROMs, what would the filename of the PD2 or PD3 ROM be for the SM-G920p?

PD3 or PD2 is BuildNumber.PD2 released and after flashing that you can take PD3 from OTA Update. PD2 is based on Android 6.0.1

You can download both PD2 or PD3 from this thread so you don't have throttled download. Are you using Sprint for service, since you say its an unlocked device?

I flashed PD2, it goes further than it did before... instead of stopping at the Samsung Galaxy S6 logo, it now goes straight to the android recovery screen. Attached is the screenshot. I am downloading PD3 and will try that next.

You will have to search for a guide to get this device back working on your carrier. I'm not very familiar with using unlocked devices on other carriers. I myself would take it back to the place of purchase. Perhaps someone else will jump in with better knowledge. @koop1955

I have never experienced this (only occurs on phones outside the US) and can't offer you a direct solution, but this person seems to have solved the same problem on the Edge model using a toolkit:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlMQQPpqELI
Hope this helps you.

U must have tried to install a custom recovery or a kernel try to drain s6 battery to 0% to do that go into odin mode let it sit and turn off automatically. .when off plug in charger..charge to about 5% first go into recovery wipe data n cache restart ur phone ...simple restarting the phone wont help ya..if this doesnt help u try installing 5.11 BOL1 stock rom...n then drain it 0% repeat the procedure

Im sure there's a solution that doesn't require a box, but im not aware of it at the moment, If the IMEI/MEID is gone, you'll have to find someone who can repair that, and most claim their repairs only fix the GSM side (IMEI) and doesn't write a new clean sprint MEID to the device. In the end, it may end up being easier to replace the device and sell the current one for parts. If you only need GSM service, then im sure someone, either on here, or another forum, or a auction site, could help you for a fee. Thats all i can suggest at the moment.

[Q] Phone stuck at ATT logo after OTA update

I updated my phone to kitkat using the OTA update while rooted, which was definitely a stupid thing to do, but now my phone seems to be stuck on the ATT splash screen after booting. It's been this way for 15+ minutes. Any way to reset it/unbrick it?
I am able to get into recovery mode and download mode.
Try a factory reset in recovery?

I would read about doing that before doing so. From what I've been reading if you're on a certain bootloader, you can't go backwards. I'm by no means an expert, so just read a lot so you're comfortable with doing that. Good luck .
Dont flash old firmware, but older roms are ok to try. I'd start by trying to flash enewmans stock kk rom.
I managed to get the phone back to 4.3 Stock however now I don't have mobile data. I'm thinking this is a modem issue? Anyone have a fix?
I believe dochliday77 has a post somewhere with the kk modem ripped from the rom

I installed a 4.3 modem and it did not fix the issue. In phone status IMEI is Unknown.
You need to install the 4.4 modem on a 4.3 rom

Hey im also stuck on the at&t logo. I was rooted but used triangle away to remove the counter and unrooted via super su/user <--- I don't really know the name of it. So i did the ota update and the phone restarted, it installed the update and restarted again and now will not get passed the att logo, even let it stay on over night. How did you get back to 4.3?? I'm a serious n00b so I need detailed instructions, anyone please?!?

Everything in download mode needs to say "official" in order to get the OTA. See if this helps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-att/general/how-to-restore-device-status-to-t2832880
If the ota appeared to flash, and its hanging during boot, factory reset should solve it.
Be aware that doing so with stock recovery installed will wipe the internal sd card.

S6e+ G928W8 (Canadian variant) DEODEXED ROOTED AND XPOSED ROM

Hello,
Here is an UPDATE this is a FULL S6e+ Canadian Variant Rom
First of All at this point you know that your phone should be rooted + you need a moded kernel or you will be stuck in a boot-loop ( you will find it in S6e+ international Thread )and this means BYE-BYE WARRANTY
Second do not forget to Backup in TWRP / CWM
The most important is: I'M not responsible if your phone went crazy
Now that you agreed for the 3 Warnings:
Download the ROM in your SD
Reboot in your TWRP / CWM recovery
Flash it
Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik/ART Cache
Reboot wait and wait maybe one more time wait (android will finish doing his Job) et VoilĂ .
What is in this ROM
A FULL ROM WITH ALL THE CSC CANADIAN
Volume is boosted
Native Call Recorder is Enabled
2nd Keyboard Symbol Enabled ( for eng_US and fr_CA )
Rooted
Xposed
Deodexed
As from my Side everything is working well . BUT STILL SO IMPORTANT DO A BACKUP AS WE DON'T HAVE YET A STOCK FIRMWARE.
When you Flash it you will have Rogers CSC . if you want another Canadian Carrier CSC,
once you phone is booted go to the dialer and type *#272*IMEI# its gonna prompt the Canadian CSC select the needed one click on install, the Phone will reboot Reset and install the selected CSC.

Do you know where we can download the Canadian version of stock firmware? I recently rooted my I9195 successfully. i then flashed a custom kernel i found here on the forum (kernel v1 or sth like that) then my phone wouldn go past the boot white logo screen. i then tried flashing other kernels but they were apparently wrong as some features of my phone didnt work. i finally found the right firmware for my phone and tried to flash it with odin but it failed and now my phone only shows this message where it says that the firmware update failed and i have to use kies in recovery mode.
so i use kies and try the install firmware thing that asks you to put in your model and serial number. i do that and it says the device doesnt support initialisation. tried on another computer and it said that serial number was invalid.. i was very careful when typing it etc.
help.. what do i do?
btw last firmware i had was 4.4.2

I think you should put original back and start over and read forum more howto.
You use ODIN to flash custom rom, why? ODIN is for original rom. With custom rom need use TWRP or other recovery boot.

I used ODIN for past phones to flash custom kernels and it worked fine. i said i flashed someone that isnt supposed to be supported. i have no idea. i am not an expert and i thought someone can provide with a fast fix since there will surely be someone to have experienced this issue.
anyone else?
bump! please help.. i dont have another phone and I need to get this fixed asap!
You don't need root phone before new kernel or custom rom. And i believe you use wrong files for that and now phone wont boot.
Start over with original ROM. With that you can test is your phone ok. Then use ODIN for recovery kernel and custom rom. Also check this:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2678420

that works, and it says downloading like normally when you try to flash something with odin, but it fails and gives me this error again: sw rev check fail: fused 2 > binarz 1
the rom im trying to flash is the DBT one in germany.
I am choosing AP btw, and not the other flash options.

i flashed one of those roms and i got my phone to boot. i have no wifi. i guess it was the last rom i flashed which was the wrong one.
i now tried the one which is supposed to be the correct rom but i land on the same error again. can someone help me find the correct stock rom?
here are the current device info. it seems that there is no official 4.4.2 rom for my phone. so i ****ed up lol.
Your phone has official 4.4.2 Rom and you are currently using it. If you have Wi-Fi issues, your can try to flash custom kernel (Silviu, alexax)

But why you use F.Reset Time -option? Clear that and try again.

i tried rebooting the phone but it still is as slow as before. it peaks on 27mbit when i start the speedtest but then drops down to 19 or sth..
actually the download speed seems to be the problem. not the upload. now i forgot the network and connected again and its even slower

It has begun!

I have been checking the wifes phone every morning for the last month. Looks like the Marshmallow update is about 1.3 gigs. I have no idea if it will be bug free, but I imagine it will be stable. Now, for those reading this, that are confused and on a stock ROM, go to settings, about device, and then software update.
It's working great so far..

Yes, both our S6 edge plus and the Note 5 received Marshmallow today from T-Mobile!!
I don't think I will take the update until I know we can still root and a custom recovery.

No need to bother with kernels it's not needed to ROOT MM 6.0!!!
1: odin flash twrp-3.0.2-0-zeroltetmo.img.tar, flash this after doing
the OTA Tmobile update of the mm 6.0 .
2: then in twrp recovery flash this supersu-v2.71-systemmode.zip.
If you do do it right, you will have no rooting issues.
Good luck,
Have a great day!

You are going to need to Odin the T-mobile stock firmware, which you can find on MinisterJunky's post here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...rmware-g928t-complete-untouched-boh6-t3198387
After that, you just need to run software update from the settings and you should be good to go. I would highly recommend doing a factory reset after you ODIN the stock 5.1 firmware before updating to 6.01.
Need help...I odined back to 5.1.1 and factory reset after....Then updated MM of phone...Then made Sure OEM unlocked, rebooted into download and odin flashed TWRP 3.0.2 and it say PASS and when i reboot into recovery it reboots into stock recovery!!! I have tried a few times in odin and does the same thing, i reboot into stock recovery everytime

So for some reason I am having the same problem trying to get this rooted.
I have made sure the OEM unock is enabled in develper settings
I boot into download mode, and I uncheck reset in options
I ODIN flash twrp-3.0.2-0-zeroltetmo.img.tar
I power off the phone, then I try to boot into recovery, the phone will show recovery is not enforcing (or whatever it says in red), then the screen just turns black.
Then I will reboot the phone again and it will remove the custom recovery.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
finally we got him.marshmallow update on s6 edge+ t mobile.now for customs rom?

Probably, it is better to wait for stock firmware and do it through the Odin. Ehh..
To anyone having probs. rooting the new DPD1 Marshmallow update, follow the guide HERE. Looks like dirtybudha has compiled everything in one post. Hit the thanks buttons!!!!!! It works perfect for both devices.
