Just arrived my Alcatel Flash Plus 2, very good assembly and perceived quality.
Good screen for brightness and colors, good touch with 5 points, and really good design!
white notification led in the uppers left corner, pleanty of sensors gyro, compass, etc.. 9 in total
Front Led Flash, backlighted lateral soft key and good touch and feel on the central button with fingerprint
Cpu MT6755M ati 1,8Ghz (lower than 1,95Ghz of MT6755) Gpu Mali T860 downclocked
MISSING band B20 800Mhz LTE/4G
Two sim slots (Micro and Nano) and separate Micro SD slot (metal cover can be removed).
for about 160€ at Myefox/Efox is really a good device!
Unfortunately my FP2 has ROM V.1 .. so i need to find a solution for TWRP, root and so on as soon as Alcetel/Tcl will publish stock rom in their site..

battery seems very bad or there are some problems..
When i received i did first configuration, google account and my apps.
used it wothout any Sim or MicroSD.
Some testing app like geekbench, antutu, cpu-x etc..
Running Geekbench3 battery test (in airplane mode) after 45 Minutes of test, my battery was at 10% and after 2 minutes it was completely discharged.
I start charging with a qualcomm charger aukey (used to measure battery capacity) and found only 450mAh of capacity after 1 hour of charge..
It sounds very strange .. also charging during use, results in a charging speed of 1% each 20 seconds...
I'm skilled and i have many mediatek smartphone (i'm Italian reviewer of smartphone) and it never happened on other devices before..
What do you think? it could be a faulty battery?

Not actually sure, it could be a deffective battery or OS error, if there is any updates so you should update but which one would you recommend between those 3 devices
Flash plus 2 : No NFC, fingerprint scanner, 32 GB internal storage, 3 GB RAM
Zenfone 2 2GB ram : got a very low brightness and no fingerprint scanner but got NFC ( NFC is Not a big deal )
Oneplus 2 : No NFS, fingerprint scanner, 64 GB internal storage, 4 GB Ram
I prefer a very clean, stock android experience

You will wait a very long time. Becouse dual-sim phones support to time only 3G. But good luck

I`m so happy becasue today mine S291 has arrived we have only at the officiall firmware two languages to choose, English and Chinese. Also i have good new, without any problem working with mine 64GB microSD card from Samsung, only one missing part is no google play store. Hi, yes it has a notification led (red/green/blue), Battery life is good i think , i can´t tell you the exact time but with heavy usage (power saving-off, hsdpa using , web browsing, etc.) i have 65% battery and 2 hours of screen on (60-70% brightness) , it is quite good
Lte (4g) - test
I have new info for those who want try 4G (LTE) but cannot disconnect from the 3G network , just go to dialer and type this: *#*#4636#*#*
you will be in the testing menu , now go to phone information then scroll down and you will se: set preferred network type and choose LTE only , i can´t try it now because I live in a small town/village and we don’t have 4g coverage only 3G-HSDPA..
Good Luck and tell us the testing result a speedtest would be also nice

Just read , the build quality is good , it´s plastic but don´t feels cheap it is like the samsung galaxy phones. Screen density? If you mean DPI , originally it´s 480dpi but you can change to 445. The speaker is really great, loud and good sound the build in dolby equalizer give to it an extra kick. ZTE said that there will be the 4.4 update soon , when you have root you can remove it easily.
I think Huawei Ascend P7 is better than this phone.

Procedure :
To install the USB drivers VCOM the phone must be turned off and connected to the PC with or without a battery depending on the type of device,
get a screen like this in the device manager of the computer
Once you have installed the terminal will be shown in this way (the COM port may be different)
For those who have problems with the installation of these drivers and have had in the past a terminal mtk
they may have a driver conflict, or even if you just do the confusion and installed it different,

Installation of the Firmware:
PROCEDURE
1) Setup new Firmware
download the new firmware.
Unzip the compressed file and insert into the firmware folder:
a) recovery modded (is necessary for receive right root)
Phone off without usb cable and possibly removed the battery and put back for a perfect reset .....
and hold mode 'of off without usb cable connected!
Run Flashtool version octa-core ..... select the file, and then scatter firmware upgrade ...... NOW ONLY CONNECT USB CABLE not before!
Wait for the end of the installation procedure of the firmware and eventually restart the phone!
This' whole simplified procedure for installing the original firmware.

1) Copy one of the previous Recovery.V2 in the firmware folder, replacing the original.

3) Go fleshare the phone with the selection of the download button in flashtool.
4) With the phone mode 'off of the attached USB cable to the PC only hours after download to flashtool.

PROCEDURE (SuperSu)
1) Download the SuperSu App from the Xda Web SIte
http://download.chainfire.eu/641/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40.zip

http://download.chainfire.eu/644/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.42.zip
Copy it to your SD card .
2) Go into recovery modded
Select SuperSu v.xx and install
Reboot into android S.O.
You should see the app installed Super Su.
3) Install Busybox (from files or from GooglePlay store)
open the app and give the right Su power and wait for it's scan
4) Install the binary from the Busybox menu' "normal install"
After correctly installed the binary ...Reboot the phone
And you will have your rights as a Root

I'm wqiting for 999 in next 2 weeks (I hope). My 998 was obviously a very good phone, except GPS, that's why I decided to go to 999, hoping that ZOPO will take experience of 998 and correct all bugs from 998. If YES, 999, will be an ideal phone (4G / 2 SIMs / SDCARD/...). let's wait for it. As soon as I will have it, I will post my opinion...

Thanks I'll be looking forward to your review. I'm about to uprgrade from a SGS2 and can't decide between 998 and 999. Read the entire thread on the 998 and the GPS and audio in the headphones seem to be the only problems. If the 999 still has them( I hope not) then I'll
probably go with the 998, but let's hope that the folks from ZOPO have corrected their mistakes with the Lion heart

This is my first Chinese phone (currently the orig Samsung Galaxy Note ). I was interested in the MTK6595 chip, and as you've said, it ticks all the boxes for things like SD card, dual SIM, removable battery etc.

So, Zopo have announced a different model called the Zopo 3X. It seems to be identical to the ZP999, except for having 16Gb storage rather than 32gb. Also, the price is $299 rather than $399.
This seems a very big price difference if the only difference is the storage. I'm a bit annoyed, as I would have gone for the 3X if I had known about it a couple of weeks earlier.
Has anyone else heard anything about this? Is the only difference really the storage? If the ZP999 had some other advantage - e.g. better battery, screen, or used the MTK6595 (not M) then I'd be ok with the price difference.

Front ID doesn't change much in its style

Conclusion
In the appearance section, I believe redmi 3 is a very controversial model, but on the overall experience, hardware configuration, and redmi 3 is a very attractive model. And compared with Redmi 2, redmi 3 is not a follow-up model without any change, but enough improvement such as Netcom, 4100mAh battery, etc. Xiaomi Redmi 3 is a real killer with affordable price right now.

Afaics doogeemobile.com seems to be something of a scam or fake site - even the logo does not match the official Doogee logo - and they even don't provide any address there.

Generally KING R00T is the way to go with Chinese phones, no guarantee on this method, you could damage the phone.

This is the only Marshmallow (6.0+) R00T that I know of.
I just damaged the charging circuit on new phone doing a r00t (5.1), the battery would not charge unless the phone was turned off. I had to reflash the firmware but the manufacturer has not released the ROM as of yet.
It went back to china as a defective phone, PayPal claim.

Ya, I'm here in Edmonton, I have reverted to DHL for all orders over 25 bucks. They charge only $7.50 per package, under 5kg, I try to combine orders, sometime you just have time constraints and a $5 item just has to get shipped express courier, the cost is always absorbed by the customer ......

Hi guys, i'm new here, though Ive been using advice, contents and softwares from xda developers for the past few years, i joined yesterday. I appreciate and i'm very grateful to you all; developers, testers and simple users(like me) for making this forum this wonderful.
I also bought Doogee X5 max pro and received it a few days ago, so far it has been a wonderful experience using it, it's very responsive and the camera is ok for it's price. The only con i detected so far is the processors speed, while shopping for it, the specs given on-line is 1.3ghz instead it is 1ghz using cpu-z. I hope they fix it with their next update or maybe i was wrong with the expected speed.
However, my major problem now is how to root it. The build id for it is MRA58K, there are 7 types of systemless boot image on the site given by UnableToResetOldProfile, which one do i use. Also there is no twrp image for Doogee x5 max pro on twrp site. If anyone has successfully root theirs, kindly help outline the procedure to root it, thanks

Today I saw Alldocube Antutu and Geekbench test on Alldocube official.
Alldocube gains 103865 scores in Antutu test, 3449 in Geekbench test with 1636 scores in single core and 3941 scores in multi-core.

I think it's still soon for that, first Alldocube needs to share the tablet's Rom files and then I think it will be possible to root with Magisk, using the fastboot method.... I hope :angel:
Mine Alldocube X it's in customs right now, so I should get the tablet next week.
Even today, Alldocube made a comment on the Indiegogo site about the support and sharing of information with XDA:

you can use magisk to modify the boot.img ,and flash patched boot.img via spflashtool.
or i can upload a beta twrp for X

Heys, I know... that's why I said that first we need the Rom from Alldocube to extract the boot.img and patch it...
But if you can do a beta TWRP for us, it will be great.. :highfive: :good:
Sooner or later, we will need a working TWRP to resolve some bugs... the lack of Mediatek MiraVision app in the tablet it's a great example of the importance that TWRP has in order to install a patched MiraVison.zip (in the first user reviews everybody it's complaning that the lack of a good Rom by Alldocube isn't letting us to use the full potential of this Amoled screen...), or even to do backups to save us of big problems in the future...
Let's see the Alldocube moves in the next weeks, perhaps they will launch Android Pie for X... with Miravision and so on...

You should try Full HD (1080p), HD it's 720p and you don't need the Widevine L1 certification to play normal 720p HD streams...
I meant full hd. But it is hard to say. What I definitely can say it is more than 480p...

Can we try to flash other GSI Treble roms? Like other Treble AOSP Roms, LineageOS 15.1 or Resurrection Remix GSI's? Or still dangerous for that?
