Was a bit shocked to see the lock icon on the old threads in my CP, but glad to see that's because of progress, with the official alpha

Dirty flashed over SlimYAOSP, installed UBER-Kernel and all is running fine Layers is also working. Can't wait to see more features implemented.

Not sure if that is the best idea, tbh
Layers work, but level 2 layers stuff will not, so you might see white on white or black on black...

This is more than stable. Good to be back!!!

I'm sorry to be that guy, but what Gapps would work with this? I tried Open Gapps but they crashed constantly. I didn't see any mention of gapps anywhere in the FAQ or instructions.

Just out of curiosity, did you flash the ROM and GApps in the same TWRP session?
As of MM, both must be done at the same time, as permissions are set during the first system boot only.

Ah, that is my mistake. I booted first to see if gapps were included and then went back and tried to install the gapps. Now I flashed rom and then dankoman's discontinued slim gapps and so far I haven't had a force close error.

[KANG/UNOFFICIAL][NIGHTLY] iNFINITYCM [Updated: 12.04.2012]

ABOUT THIS ROM:
This is a KANG/UNOFFICIAL CM9 version built from CM9 sources. It has some cherry-picks from Gerrit, that I find interesting and enhance the rom to be better feature wise.
I will be doing builds on daily basis (mostly on morning EU time), atleast until CM starts to rollout nightlies on normal schedule.
As I said in the beginning, this is purely been a learning experience to work with Android source and building it from the scratch.
I might be doing something completely different (own rom based on something) when I have gained more experience. If you are interested to start something, pm and let's see if we can get something out of it
WHY??
I know there are many many many CM9 roms/kangs floating around, so why did I post this? For a simple reason: It has been a learning experience for me to work with source and building android. This is my first complete android build, and I find CM9 to be a good starting point.
INCLUDED IN THIS ROM (Basic features):
- Synced to cm9 repo today 12.4.2012
- Includes all the CM9 features that have been merged until now
- Includes few cherry picks from Gerrit (see list below)
- Default CM based kernel
- The default CM9 bells and whistles
CHERRY-PICKS from CM Gerrit
- AudioManager: Handle KEYCODE_VOLUME_MUTE
- Settings: Notification light(LED) settings
- NavigationBar : Customization+ Settings
- Make the flash off indicator visible
- Makes network mode toggle work. Port from CM7.
- camera: allow setting parameter "video-size" before recording starts
- MMS: Make notifications consistent with the Gapps'.
- Phone: Disable accelerometer sensor while in-call and screen UI is off
- Fix don't interrupt ongoing PIN/PUK verification
Install instructions (first install):
1) Download zip to your phone
2) Also download GAPPS from http://goo.im/gapps
3) Boot to CWM
4) DO A FULL WIPE IN RECOVERY (a must if you are coming from another rom)
5) Flash the ROM .zip
6) Flash GAPPS .zip
7) Reboot
8) PROFIT???
About updating:
It should be safe to do "dirty flashes" between builds, unless I say otherwise. But ofcourse if you run to problems between builds, do a wipe first (use f.ex TiBu to backup apps) and try again. It's always possible that some feature gets broken or some cherry-pick ****s up things....but hey these are nightlies right?
To users/flashers
It would be nice if you could test this, and if you have some features found on Gerrit what you would like to see implemented, just post here and I'll check it out and maybe include it in the next build
I honour all feedback from you guys..the more the better so I can learn more.

[CLOSED][UNOFFICIAL][FLOUNDER](WIFI/Wifi+LTE] CM12 builds + Cherry-picks [06/FEB]

THIS PROJECT IS NO LONGER UPDATED, MOVE ALONG!
When I received my Nexus 9 I was immediately missing the real custom rom love for this device.
So as I like to build my on sh*t I decided to roll up my buildmachine and start building. And as I don't like to wait too long for the nice parts of CyanogenMOD to come to the official nightlies (at the moment there are no official nightlies).
So these builds will be pretty pure Stock CM12 builds + some very carefully selected (and tested) cherry-picks from CMs gerrit/code review.
This will not be a rom where features will be added from other ROMs. Features will be strictly CyanogenMOD and will be on their gerrit.
I have personaly tested (runningn currently) this rom on my LTE Nexus 9. So it definately works
FEATURES/Modifications to cm source:
- Kernel doesn't force encryption
- SeLinux has been set to permissive state (atleast for now)

Personally with CM I usually go with the PA Gapps (micro package)
I'm running this on my wifi Nexus 9. I used the full PA gapps package.
It's great so far. No issues. I like having the most recent nightly features. The new boot animation is great. Brighter, smiling vs vaguely malevolent.
Hi,
Thanks for this ROM. It's running much more smoothly than stock 5.0.1. However, I have a problem with GPS. I don't get a GPS fix in Google maps.
Do you have GPS working?
Question, does this include the new(er/ish) CM browser based on the AOSP browser? I've been running the official nightlies on my sons Galaxy Tab Pro 8 and it has their new materialish AOSP browser, and it's great, would love to see it on the N9.
Thanks
Dan
@inffy
im gonna take a whack at fixing the APN problem tonight, though i dont have an LTE tablet i do know how to somewhat test if it works, do you mind if i use you as my dummy Test Subject device tester?
EDIT: i think i found out why this doesnt include the APN's and how to fix it but i need someone to test this for me If you have an LTE device, Please PM me
EDIT2: the possible fix is packaged and waiting for someone to test it...tick tock...

Huh, I don't see it anywhere. Is it packaged in the gapps for some reason? I just went straight to the newest build, maybe it was only in one of the older builds?
*edit*
Figured it out, the gapps package I was using was removing the aosp apps.

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 12.1 for Alcatel ONETOUCH IDOL 3 4.7

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.1.x (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

As requested, here's a thread for the 4.7" device. The build runs fine on my end without any major flaws (6039Y), however I expect rough edges on other device variants, especially those featuring dual sim functionality.
So please give feedback and provide logs if you find any bugs.
I really don't want this to be a one man show, so I encourage everyone willing to build/contribute to check out my github and get involved!
Oh! great
First release going to test this
Thanks @pivoq :good:
Can someone post a fleshable kernel for this rom. I'll try to mod it a little. Maybe it can overclock a bit, just to try smth new.
P.S CM rom is great, minor bugs, but it's nothing.

Sometimes terbuchet or what else, stopped working. I do factory reset today and i didn't see again that problem. Maybe it fixed the problem, consider that solved.
Personaly i do not like dbl tap on status bar to lock screen, but better that then nothing.
One thing i noticed when i place a call, that is seems to be to quiet sound. I can't sometimes clearly hear what is person talking to me. But not a big problem, it heppens sometimes.
Problem on instagram is solved with this rom. On 5.0.2 I have video problem on instagram, video do not play always.
My recommendation is kernel tweaks, maybe some minor overclocking to cpu and gpu, just for test, maybe that will speed up a lilttle bit this respectable device we have.
Best regard man and sorry for my bad english
And can someone post fleshable kernel of this rom? Thanks in advance.

What do you mean exactly? You can flash the boot.img using fastboot. And the kernel source is on github.
thanks to make this for 4.7. system working faster than stock.
- nice audio equalizer but black player got better
- there is cm camera but missing some manual options like shutter speed - so i wait for change this
- double tap to on/off - there is trick to use gesture with nova launcher and app "screen off and lock" but when you are in lock screen tap working only around status bar

I know that u can disable it, i didn't mean that, i love that option, but personaly didn't like to tap on status bar, it's better to tap on screen (midlle of screen). But it's okay man
Kernel - i don't know how to download fleshable kernel from github
I wont to mod the kernel, set a higher freq for cpu and gpu = overclock. If you know how to download and make a flashable kernel i will mod it.
First post was updated with latest build.
Current changelog: 2015-11-14
- added option to disable battery light
- added support for f2fs filesystem on /data and /cache (requires recovery that supports it, e.g this one)
Google service isn't working.
I can't login.
"Unfortunately, Google has stopped play services."
I tried opengapps pico, nano, stock, super.
Older versions work fine
Same problem here, opengapps crashing, i will try with an older version of gapps
edit: still fc, even with 04-04-2015 gapps 5.1.1 version :-s

Thank you, apparently there went something wrong building chromium webview.
I will probably have a fresh build by tomorrow. In the meantime can you try if installing "Android System Webview" from play store fixes the issue?

[ROM][AOSP][6.0/7.1/8.1 RC/9.0 BETA] Unlegacy Android Project

The Unlegacy Android ProjectIntroduction
Unlegacy-Android started out as the OMAP4-AOSP Project. It was created in late 2015 in order to maintain a clean and organized place for pure AOSP support for various OMAP4 devices, such as the Galaxy Nexus and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 series. Over time this evolved to support more than just these devices, but still maintains its roots of supporting "legacy" devices that no longer receive "official" updates: hence Unlegacy Android was born. In our opinion, these ROMs are how the official updates would look.
On top of AOSP, we only include changes which are necessary to support the hardware, be secure, and get acceptable performance. Current features for hammerhead include:
BFQ IO scheduler (official kernel 3.4 release), set up so GUI processes have the highest priority
Volume button wakeup (setprop persist.wm.volume_wake_screen 1)
Last upstream (kernel/msm) hammerhead kernel tag merged
Charging LED control (setprop persist.sys.led_on_charger 0)
Enhanced backlight map for lower min brightness
Night display blue light filter (GLES-based)
KCAL & PCC color temperature interfaces
Other security patches & minor bug fixes
F2FS support from K4.4 backports
SELinux in Enforcing mode
Installation
It's important that /system needs to be unmounted before installing the ROM - some recoveries tend to leave it mounted after performing operations on it.
If you're planning to install GApps, be sure to read the second post.
Aside from these, installation and upgrading is no different than on other ROMs.
Problems
No known issues on Nougat builds
See post #3 for Oreo/Pie notes
If you notice anything, be sure to report it in this thread. Stability is our main concern. While it may takes some time, I usually read the thread and acknowledge the bug reports, even if I don't reply directly to them.
Downloads
See: http://builds.unlegacy-android.org. Our automated builds ensure that we always have the latest Android security patches merged in, without having to manually start and upload builds
Also, we'll have a built-in OTA updater (just like stock) soon (it's a work in progress).
Features?
There isn't much to say here - this is AOSP, if you install GApps, you pretty much get the same thing that's running on the Nexus devices (see second post). The aim of this project is to create a fast and stable ROM, as close to AOSP as possible without diminishing usability. Occasionally, small non-AOSP features may be implemented, provided there is a clear need and they make sense on hammerhead.

GApps
If you want to install GApps, we recommend micro packages on N builds (e.g., Open GApps), and pico otherwise.
An important note: as this is a pure AOSP ROM, installing GApps tends to be problematic: in order to try to avoid installation issues, be sure to install GApps immediately after installing the ROM, before booting the system for the first time. If you experience any issues with the Google applications, be sure to go into Settings -> Apps, and grant every permission to every Google application - most importantly, Google Play services.
In the case of an upgrade, be sure to re-install the GApps package, as upgrading wipes /system. You shouldn't need to re-set the permissions afterwards.
Stock-like setup
Disable the following built-in (AOSP) apps:
- Android keyboard (once you installed Gboard)
- Browser
- Calculator
- Camera
- Clock
- Email
- Gallery
Install the following apps from the Play store:
- Google Photos (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.photos)
- Calculator (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.calculator)
- Chrome (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.chrome)
- Clock (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.deskclock)
- Gboard (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.inputmethod.latin)
- Gmail (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gm)
- Google Calendar (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.calendar)
- Google Camera (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.GoogleCamera)
- Google Now Launcher (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.launcher)
Rooting
You can flash the latest SuperUser (phh's open source fork), Chainfire's SuperSU, or Magisk to get rooted.
Oreo/Pie Status & CAF Notes
Oreo 8.1 builds are almost bug-free at this point, but still tagged as experimental. While last issues are sorted out, I will trigger manual builds, also published at https://builds.unlegacy-android.org/aosp-8.1/hammerhead.
To my knowledge, these are the remaining issues:
Bluetooth HFP speaker (mono/SCO) output is garbled. This seems related to a more general issue with audio effect/ACDB blobs.
Once all visible issues are fixed, and stability is comparable to Nougat builds, I'll switch on official builds on our Jenkins server.
Pie 9.0 builds are also becoming fully usable. Current builds have the same one remaining HFP bug described above.
Beyond "official" experimental builds, I post personal builds (including CAF experiments) in the hammerhead folder here.
Regarding sources for the WIP CAF kernel-based builds, see https://github.com/airend/android_kernel_lge_hammerhead/commits/tmp/caf+113+common. Corresponding device tree is still in rough shape and not uploaded yet, but assuming everything goes well, it'll replace current device tree when it's ready.
I've used the 05/04 build for 2 days a few weeks ago and it was a great rom.
The only issue I came across back then was that it has the green flickering when recording videos.
It's nice that the project has a XDA thread now and I gonna test this rom asap.
Thanks for keeping our good old Nexus 5 up to date.

Should be fixed on current builds (both green bar, and Google Camera flickering).
have a volume wake option?
Does it have issues with network location (Battery saver location)?
Some AOSP-based ROMs have this issue, so many apps (Chronus, Google Fit, f.lux, Instagram) can't get location.

thanks for answer, but i have broken power button :crying:
Cant Install Gapps
I've flashed it for about half a day, and it's very promising, it seems a great ROM!
I've noticed only three defects:
- The blue light filter (Night mode) is missing;
- With stock kernel, SuperSU will be in system mode;
- The Clock app crashes if you try to add another Time zone in the main screen.
Everything else works fine.

Thanks for the ROM guys!
When I flash Open Gapps this message appears:
"This Gapps pkg is for Android 7.1.x ONLY
Please download the correct version for you ROM: 5.1.1 (SDK 22)"
I've flashed build ua_hammerhead-7.1.2-20170423031839 before gapps
Is there any alternative app for kcal..?KCAL app seems to be force closing once installed.

i think the official builds (weekly on server) will maybe not flash as secondary now, because they are signed builds.
i haven't tried it yet, i was flashing on primary to bring it up.
But i will have a DM (Device Maintainer) build up shortly that i will make sure works in multirom
Awesome, one of my favorites!
Do you think you'll post any builds with the OMS commits at any point? I know this is non standard for slim usually.
Kind regards

Just installed as secondary in multirom, the only problem is that when you came back in the primary rom, you don't have access, if before you've a secured access, like as pin o sign, than you need to go in twrp file manager and delete the lockscreen dB. But finally it works fine as secondary.

Well excuse me. I wasn't aware sir.
I will get this loaded ASAP when i get my OP5, last I used it was on the Nexus 5 and I loved it! Thank you good sir!
I thought this was the best place to ask; sorry if it's not, and sorry if somebody already talked about this, but I can't for the life of me find any info on this.. I haven't got a 1+5 yet (deciding between either it, or a 3T), but I was wondering: how's the battery life for the 1+5 with AOSP ROMs? I've been seeing a lot of good SOTs, but all of those are with a completely stock ROM.
omg... Slimroms! I haven't used any slimrom for ages. Maybe it's time again.
Very smooth ROM so far! I think it's got all of the features I need. 2 things aren't working though.
- Haptic feedback when pressing the physical home button and when pressing the capacitive keys.
- The invert recents/back buttons. See screenshot.
I would have logged the bugs, but I'm not sure how, because it's not an app crashing or something.
Great first release so far!
Forgot screenshot. Here it is.
