* You have to have installed superSU in the latest version to use the kernelupdater. Without it, it will not work. The updater will only update the boot.img-zImage (thats the kernel-binary in the boot.img). This will prevent losing root/grorkmod or other mods that affect on boot.img.

Thank you but i don't know if stock rom is better than aerom which i'm running now. What do you guys think?

I think the best Rom for the P9000 is Aerom V2! V2 because the battery times perfect. Activated Fingerprint and WLAN i have perfect Times. The Phone goes perfect in deep-sleep. All other Roms i tested have problems with deep-sleep.

Is it possible to skip the previous update and flash the zip over Stock ROM Elephone P9000_Android_6.0_20160419? Is user data preserved or will it wipe everything?

I do not agree , aerom Rom is good but Eragon 2.8 also no problem with deep sleep .
Y have activated:
- fingerprint with two fingers
- offsreen gesture on with double tape
- system motion on with tree finger for screenshot
- shortcut button
All features is activated work very fine

Mmm, interesting, I never could leave the fingerprint reader on to unlock the screen because the EINT wakelock keeps the device awake almost all the time. I notice you have WiFi disabled, the other BIG deep sleep killer for me, I wonder if that could make any difference, but I have the feeling it would be weird.

Ok guys, answering to myself. Updated from 20160419 to 20160608. Everything went smooth. Flashed SuperSU and root still works. User data is preserved. Would have been nice to read more about topic related stuff than discussing which ROM has the best battery times. Anyways, a big thanks to OP for providing this zip! Saved my day

I installed this with twrp & lost root (expected), but also twrp so im totally stock now. Maybe it's because I wiped everything but external storage before hand.
Nevermind, flash tool later to regain twrp.
ROM seems nice though, all working good...

Nothing. Just took the zip and flashed it with TWRP. Flashed SuperSU directly after that and rebooted. Done

In case it matters, upon completion of the install of this zip using twrp, i went to reboot & got a message asking if i was sure as there was no OS installed! I selected reboot anyway, the phone then sat there with the last twrp screen & the vibrator on constantly. I left it for 30 seconds but it kept going, i held the pwr button for 10 seconds to turn it off which it did. When i turned it back on all appeared to load up fine...
Problems...
Since i performed the above, my SD card isn't seen by my phone, & even when i connect the SD card to my pc it doesn't work - assigns it a drive letter in explorer, but grey'd out, can't format or anything.
Not only that, but i can't seem to get twrp back, even though the sp flash tool says it's been done ok. If i try & access it using the pwr & -vol all i get is factory mode with 3 options - auto test, test report & version.
Please advise

TWRP = Pwr & Vol+ ?
best regards

However, still can't see my SD card.
Could installing this zip the way i did ruined it?

Hi.
For me everything is fine. Flashed it also through twrp without issues. SDcard works fine.
Currently I'm on this rom.

I have just received the OTA upgrade Elephone_P9000_20160608 and it installed perfectly unlike the previous one 20160531 which did not.
They recommend that you remove the SD card prior to installing.
Good news there.
Can I ask if anyone knows if the fixes in 20160531 are also included in 20160608?
In other words will I be missing the fixes in 20160531 or not?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you- hoping this works. Can't flash OTA, even though I installed standard recovery and removed SD Card. Just get an error in recovery. No information provided.

Flashed cm11 plus all zips , rom boots fine. Except for the part where the screen doesn't display anything (stays blank and off), however I can swipe to unlock and get the vibration as well as turn the volume up and down and get the sound that is associated. Any ideas I've done it twice with full wipes of everything I could wipe asside from the sd card

I don't understand how that could be happening....
It's working on my S3 fine. And the nethunter zips are just a kernel and a zip that runs a bunch of scripts and extracts a CHROOT.

Do you think that it would have anything to do with what version of cm11 that is being used, I r what baseband? (I'm noob ish when it comes to that) cuz cm11 works fine then I flash everything and it shows the Droid logo or w/e and then goes blank with the soft keys illuminating, as well as responding to touch (side note I had forgotten to authenticate the adb connection prior so I could easily reboot to recovery and was able to bring up and select ok to allow it w/o the screen being visible, so it must be something driver related to the display)

Done that 3 times cm11 works fine, display goes to **** after flashing nethunter. What version of cm11 are you using by the way
Clean flash over 04/26 nightly took about 20 mins. No issues so far I got some more playing around to do before a final verdict. Thanks I'll have some fun with this.

What good is this to the S3? I wasn't aware that this phone can go into monitor mode at all.

[ROM] [B207] Simply Google M2 8.0 **Update 1/15/17**

Here is my stock based B207 rom, Simply Google. This is great for those of you who have a hard time getting the Google Apps to work and want some extra mods and features. You must have an unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed. This rom is tested on the M2-803L. Flashing it on other versions (801L, 802L) should work but you're flashing it at your own risk. All Google Apps you can download from the Play Store have been removed from the rom. I also heavily debloated it and removed a lot of Huawei apps. Please don't ask me to add anything in as I want to keep this rom slim. Open up Tablet Manager, hit the settings icon and uncheck Smart Tune-up if Permissions Manager force closes when you open it. Please hit the Thanks button if you like the ROM.
Features & Mods:
-AdAway
-Cust Mods
-Dark M2 Theme
-Deodexed
-GBoard
-Google Play Store, Google Contacts Sync
-Heavily Debloated
-Insecure boot.img
-Marshmallow Boot Animation
-Nova Launcher
-Region Mods
-SuperSU Preinstalled
Instructions:
1. OTA or Dload to B2xx first before flashing. The ROM will not boot if you're still on anything lower than B2xx
2. Download ROM and put it on the phone's internal storage or SDCard
3. Boot into TWRP recovery.
4. Performing a factory reset using TWRP is recommended.
5. Flash the ROM
6. Reboot System
7. Profit!

Many thanks! What a nice surprise. This seems to be the first custom rom for the m8.
Appears that it is for the 802l. Would it also work for the 801l?
At the moment I have 5.1 reverted to stock. BL unlocked.

It should work on both versions provided you update to stock B2xx first. After someone updates to B2xx on their 802L I need them to send me two things.
1) Their cust folder so I can integrate it into the rom.
2) Their system/emui folder. There should be a folder called oversea in there which I need to integrate into the rom.
Sorry, I don't have the b215 yet. There was no update to 6.0 till now and i can't find even a newer version for the 801l then the one attached.

The B215 update posted in one of these threads is for the 801L because when I flashed it I had no cellular data option at all.
Just tried to install the b019. But again it's a incompatible version. I guess it's because it's for the m2 803l.
Anyway, thanks for your help. I'll have to wait until until the official update hits my tab.
I tried with hisuite, but i have already the latest version available.

No, things like wifi won't work unless you upgrade to B211 first. Hold off on flashing until I sort out the root issue. Systemless root causes freezes. I'm working on porting the kernel from the X2 so I can use regular root which will fix the freezing issues.
New build up. Fixed root causes freezing in apps.
Do you know where to get the b011? The b006 is the latest rom that I can find for my m2.

Ok, many thanks for the links. I will uninstall xposed, then dirty flash and after the first boot install xposed again.
my 801w was detected during installation as 802l. Don't know if this is what's causing the trouble, but after installing via TWRP, coming from some b2xx official ROM, i'm stuck at the Huawei Bootscreen for about 10 minutes now. I know that the first start could take a lot of time, but this seems a bit unusual to me. I'll keep it watching for another 15-20 minutes and see if it boots up fine or is frozen in any way.
[Update] so it was stuck in a loop for sure. I tried flashing a clean b2xx from another thread, which booted fine, and dirty flashing your ROM over, but same behaviour. What actually DID work is flashing the boot.img from stock over your ROM, so keeping the other partitions from Simply Google Installation. At least it's booting up now, showing the proper Android Nougat loading screen. Let's see how it works out...

This is just a flashable zip of the stock rom. So there are the same gapps as the factory image got.
Anyone try that unofficial xposed on this rom?

Thanks this is great. All the custom roms have too many stability bugs to be reliable enough for a daily phone. As this is stock with no recovery though, could I relock the bootloader while keeping twrp and root - therefore getting rid of the warning message on boot? Would this cause problems?

Omni and LOS works fine for me. Seems pretty table overall to me for daily use.
Anyway to answer your question, locking the bootloader will require you to flash the stock recovery which means you will lose TWRP as TWRP is the custom recovery that replaces the stock recovery.
When you root the device you are modifying the boot.img and system partitions so it won't be advisable to lock the device and try to keep root as it might not function properly and worse could brick your device. Because if anything goes wrong and your bootloader is locked there is no way to fix that issue, the point of keeping a custom recovery is so that you can fix any problem that could arise because of the modified system files.

Ok got it. Thanks for the quick answer. As for the roms, I was using Omni but I was getting crashes when using GPS (Waze) and nfc never seemed to work reliably. I switched to LOS when Omni stopped updating but I've had similar issues with it as well. Stock works well but it would be nice to have up to date security patches.

I am currently using LOS but was on Omni most of the time as Omni was really stable and updated that time. But Omni started eating a lot of battery and stopped providing updates, so I switched to LOS as soon as LOS 15 was released for Robin. GPS worked fine for me on Omni too, it sometimes had problem locking the location but navigation on Google Maps worked as it should. Waze I used a few times it didn't crash that time. But not a regular Waze user.
Did your clean flash the ROM?
Can't tell you about NFC as I sadly have no reason to use it.
By the way, how is your battery? Mine is degrading bad. My SOT has gone from 3-4hrs to 2-2.5hrs. over the 2+ years of owning this device. Not only that, below 30-40% it would shut down on running any heavy app like Camera or Maps or Music Streaming. Battery is degrading badly.

Good work!!
You guys ready for custom ROMs?
This is my WAS-LX3 Running my Pure AOSP for HI6250 Devices! Installation is a bit tricky but I'll fix that up soon!
Great work!
Just tested it on my P10 lite(was-lx1c432), and it works.
Thanks for your work. I haven't tried it yet. I'm waiting for your custom Rom.
With Devcheck system info (search in playstore) I saw that my device is compatible.
Hi, I flashed it on my WAS-LX1C432 but it freezes at the screen where it asks about allowing modifications to the system partition. The build from the other thread works though, apart from decryption.
Cannot wait to get aosp good work!!

Stock decryption not working here either
I have not found any easy way to get back to stock...
When i tried to flash the zip with the other TWRP build, i got error 7 : This build is for Washington, not for Warsaw.
So, i flashed the img with fastboot and it works.
Also after allowing modifications at first boot of TWRP, i don't get that msg anymore.
With the other build i had to allow it everytime i booted TWRP.
I have WAS-LX1AC432

Touch unresponssive happened to also. I've just rebooted into recovery again. Solved.
This build works like a charm
Encryption of data will be always a problem on kirin devices ...

Me too.
With your twrp build I tried to flash the recovery again. The zip file. And this time I didn't get any errors.
How's the progress on your rom?
I would be happy to test it.

The ROM is pretty good. I'm just concerned about ppl being able to go back to stock. Because the ROM is not a daily driver yet..,
Rear cam video capture not working.
Little laggies happen during ui animation.
Edit: If you are confident you can get back to stock if you need to pm me.
Any Other Testers?
If there is anyone else who is confident they can get back to stock via the 'dload' method and would like to test AOSP for the P10 Lite, pm me.
Worked for me. I needed to do a full wipe in TWRP first. ( i wiped data too, dunno if it was needed)
Flashed open gapps 7.1 pico.
There is no browser or file manager included in the rom.
So after setting up playstore, download a file manager if you need to access your ext sdcard.
Flashed supersu in twrp and have root too.
---------- Post added at 06:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:15 PM ----------
Restored my apps and data with titanium Backup.
Working fine.
Maybe create a new topic for this ROM?
I made a TWRP backup. Selected everything except /cache.
With 3 button dload method i was able to go back to stock rom.
Unlocked bootloader again, flashed TWRP and then tried to restore the backup.
Got a 255 error. So i did a full wipe and formatted /data.
After this succesfully restored the backup and phone booted normally with everything intact.
So, internal storage is not encrypted in TWRP.
Rom is pretty smooth. Didn't encouter any issues. Except the known bugs.
Finger print is working, GPS too.
Didn't test NFC or dual sim.
Will use this rom and see how it goes.
edit :
Made a "tap and pay" payment in the supermarket. So NFC is working.

It should, try it. Don't have this device on hands so can't test.
I have a question is that can I delete these files on the fox folder (it's 3GB) . Also I don't want the orange fox to install my miui updates, I just want my system updater to do it even if it means removing the orange fox, it's still ok.. can I do this?
The beta version of this recovery shows SD card and USB storage 0 mb and thus we can't access them from recovery nor we can mount them (this problem is in beta version only)
I flashed stable version of this recovery but touch was not responding, not even a bit..... then i installed beta version and touch worked, but whenever i tried to install lineage os 16.0 , it shows error 255 ..... i also tried twrp 3.2.1.0 earlier but touch was not responding there as well....nor was otg mouse.... i flashed twrp 3.3.1.0 as well and there otg was working fine but even after installing the rom amd booting up, touch was irresponsive help!!

Try this recovery https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-s2/development/arm64-twrp-v3-3-1-0-redmi-s2-y2-t3954150
For me it's working fine
i already mentioned , i had tried 3.3.1.0 ..... by the way my issue was resolved by the service centre and for free (under warranty ) i just cleared everything , installed original rom locked the bootloader and went straight in stating that touch became irresponsive after update .... also i would like to update that , i tried pitch black , orange fox stable plus beta , twrp 3.3.1.0,3.2.1.0 and at last flashed stock fastboot rom using mi flash tool as well but failed to solve the problem then ..... I'd 2 phones that made it easy for me
This is really nice, Thanks devs
I can't decrypt the data partition. I'm trying for hours to find an answer. Can anyone please help me? Lock screen password doesn't work.

Thanks for the answer, my friend. I really appreciate it. I've already solved this problem.
The thing was that after I format data and rebooted to system it kept encrypting it again. For some people rebooting to recovery again and flashing magisk from an SD card worked. For me it didn't. So I tried again but wiping data, cache, and system and flashing another ROM.
Hi,
I'm actually considering buying the Xiaomi Redmi S2 and I have some questions regarding the device and this recovery.
1. Would you recommend the S2 in 2019/2020
2. Is Treble TWRP required to use treble ROMs or can I install this directly and also use treble ROMs.
3. Any recommended tweaks for this device.
4. What configuration of RAM and Storage would you recommend? (I only found 3GB RAM and 32GB Storage versions)
5. Expandable Storage? (microSD)
6. Any bugs with treble in general or specific treble ROMs?
7. Anything to look for when buying this device used?
Kind Regards
