Oneplus 3 delivery time / reliability of the Oneplus online store - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

I need to get a new phone for my wife and the oneplus 3 just came out on time.
The problem - I live in Israel and the phone is not available here for now.
The solution - a friend of my wife will be in a camp in the U.S. for two weeks starting this
Sunday.
My fear is that from what I understand the phone can be bought from the Oneplus website only. If it was Amazon, I could have relayed on the phone would be at it's destination within three days or so.
I don't know anything about the availabilityof the oneplus 3 or the reliability of the Oneplus store.
So ca I relay on the fact that if I buy now it will be in my wife's hands in a few days, or is there a reason to worry?
Thanks so much in advance for your advice.

Got my OP3 and case within 3 days after ordering wich was beyond expectation for me as the delivery date was set to the 24th of june. Can`t remember ever reading somewhere that buyers didn`t get the stuff they bought.

i bought mine on the vr launch, it said that it would be shipped on the 17th of june and delivered on the 25th of june...it arrived today, just two days from poland to croatia
btw the phone is great, twrp, root and xposed work fine

Bad customer service experience at OnePlus
Wow I was banding my head on the table by the end of the chat I just had with Paul from Oneplus. How difficult is it to understand the customer's need and to give him an answer which could actually answer his quesion?!

10:28:25 PM - Paul said : Thank you for reaching out.

10:34:10 PM - Tomer Stern said : I want it delivered in the U.S. though.
10:37:04 PM - Paul said : Well if you want it to be delivered in the U.S., it should be a U.S. version.
10:37:22 PM - Tomer Stern said : You have three versions of the device. I need the european version
10:37:41 PM - Tomer Stern said : the us version does not support 4g in Israel. Its a bands issue.
10:38:23 PM - Tomer Stern said : Is it possible to order the european version in the u.s.?
10:38:39 PM - Paul said : Yes it is possible.
10:38:48 PM - Tomer Stern said : How?
10:39:02 PM - Paul said : You may select a country from Europe in our website.
10:39:16 PM - Paul said : Since Israel is not included, you may select a different country.
10:40:20 PM - Tomer Stern said : So you advice me to select a european country and then place a delivery to the US?
10:40:38 PM - Tomer Stern said : but then it will not be sent from within the u.s., right?
10:41:05 PM - Paul said : Yes.
10:42:09 PM - Tomer Stern said : 1. so u do not currently have the european verision in the u.s.?
10:42:40 PM - Tomer Stern said : 2. are you sure that if i select a european country like england for example, it will let me do a shipment outside of england?
10:43:30 PM - Paul said : For the first question, yes.
10:44:13 PM - Paul said : And for the second question, no.
10:44:37 PM - Paul said : If you're in a European page, your shipping address should be within Europe.
10:45:32 PM - Tomer Stern said : OK so how does it help me? I dont understand how to get the european version delivered to the U.S. This is my original question.
10:46:38 PM - Paul said : I'm very sorry to confuse you. What I'm trying to say is that, you can use a European version in U.S but you can't order a European verion and plan it to be delivered in U.S
10:47:22 PM - Tomer Stern said : But I told u i do not need to use it in the U.s. I plan to use it in Israel.
10:48:03 PM - Paul said : If you have a friend that's within Europe, you may ask him/her to order a phone for you. Not outside Europe.
10:48:37 PM - Tomer Stern said : OK. So that answered that. Thats a shame.
10:48:59 PM - Paul said : I'm really sorry.
10:49:14 PM - Tomer Stern said : Thats ok.

You're better off waiting a few weeks and picking one up (possibly cheaper) from Swappa, with the correct bands.

[Q] Galaxy Nexus in Latvia, Estonia, Litva

Hi everyone.
There are a lot of threads about appearing GN in UK, US, Australia and so one.
Does anybody know when GN will appear in The Baltics country (Latvia, Litva, Estonia)? Does anybody know whether any terms of his release? In which stores it will be selling in this countries? How much it will be cost there? I'm interested in stores located in these countries. please do not offer Handtec, Clove, ComputerUniverse. If you got some links to the stores in this countries where GN will be selling- post it here please.
I'm from Estonia and as far as I know it is not sold in Estonia. In fact no Google phone has ever been sold here, so there is not much hope.

I'd like to test phone before buying. Don't want to send it back to the store if I find dead pixels or other bugs on it. It takes a lot of time to send it back and wait for new phone.

It is unlikely that Galaxy Nexus will be sold in Estonia, however it might still happen now that Samsung is trying to make a bigger push with it by naming it 'Galaxy'. It's not just a native-Android type of thing anymore. But Samsung will still want to push their own main handsets in these markets and that might get in the way.
The best bet would be to order online. There is a small chance of something being wrong with the device, but looking at the device in store is not really the way to detect them. At best you can only detect dead pixels there and those are rare on Super AMOLED screens.
I guess that if you want to be an early adopter, you have to take some risks. We have and as a result we have this awesome volume bug.
What is the baseband radio version and build version on Estonian Galaxy Nexus phones (stock ROM) ? Anybody can tell me that?
Thanks!

LG G4 H815 has issues. Send it to LG Taiwan for repairs?

I have an "international" H815 that seems to reboot at random times. A few times simply answering a phone call it caused a reboot. The IMEI says its from Taiwan. It is less that a year old. I am in the US. Do I send it to LG Taiwan for warranty repairs? If yes, has anyone done it? Their web site is in Chinese which I do not speak.
Thanks
Lol same pinch

Sorting this out but from Canada. I tried customer care, was met with "Phone was not sold here so there is no warranty." Attempting to use social media to get something else done.
I'll update if they reply.
Hey Guys, I have been facing this boot loop since 3rd Jan. I inquired with the service station and they will either change the chipset board of your Phone or give you a new one. My advise is to go for a new one with S/N starting with 510 or above as this problem is with all the LG G4 with S/N starting with 505-509. Am in Oman now and gonna claim my warranty in Dubai.
Where did you buy the phone? What store? In Germany, I can ask the retailer to send the phone in for repairs. The retailer then sends it to the manufacturer/licensed repair workshop. That's because of German warranty law, to which a seller is bound. You might wanna check US law regarding warranty.
Quick update:
I got a response from LG Taiwan
"Dear customer:
Thank you for choosing LG.
Regarding your inquiry. Please contact our service center
We will provide repair services. Thank you!!

I called the company listed, luckily they had someone who spoke English. Bad news is they said the cost to send the phone in, replace the motherboard and send it back to Canada would be more than the cost to replace the phone. I asked about it being covered under factory warranty and mentioned the e-mail above.. the tech asked me to speak to LG.
Send LG another e-mail with the details of the conversation with the repair center, waiting to hear back from that. Given this experience I think I'm going to give LG Canada another go. In the meantime this G4 is sitting dead on my desk.
This is insane.
Did you have any luck in getting it repaired?
Short answer is no. LG asked me to send the phone to a friend in Taiwan so the friend can assist in the repair.. I can't say I have any friends in Taiwan so I let it go. Bought a Samsung S6 that gave me issues as well then got a handed down iPhone.

Dual SIM model?

I found no official information on the dual sim version I presume will be available at some point.
Anyone has some cues?

It is available but only in some markets, e.g. Russia, China and Middle East. The model is SM-N930FD (at least for one of the versions).
It is available for pre-order from sellers in UAE with shipping Aug 6, e.g. here or here

The warranty is not worldwide unfortunately, so you would have to ship it back for repairs - or pay for it.

I live in Europe (Denmark). I have imported allot of phones over the years, as I need Dual Sim. I currently have the S7 Edge Dual Sim imported from UAE, and it does not have warranty coverage here, but I have not been needing it either. Actually of the about fifteen phones I have imported, I have only needed to use the warranty once. It was a HTC One M7 and I they actually repaired it here in Denmark at no cost, even thu I had no invoice and it had only Hong Kong warranty. The did so of goodwill, so I would not count on it to always be the case, but it was a known problem (purple tint in camera) so that might be why.
I got note 5 dual sim from tawain.. Last year no issues either.. What's you're import tax in Denmark

25% VAT + a fee (around 20 EUR). But I normally arrange with the seller to lower the price on the invoice to 50-100$ which lowers the cost allot

If this page is correct, it would be a major breakthrough — so far all the previous Dual—SIM Notes had bands missing, so they were not usable in Europe and the US — this one seems to have them all…

Same chips as the S7 edge duos => same LTE bands, it's safe for you to check the S7 edge duos specification for this data.
A few questions for those who have their SM-N930FD:
- Does the second SIM support HSPA / LTE or is it still only GSM?
- Does *#2263# work? You can check the band selection

where to buy Redmi Note 5 Global Version with B20 but Rose Gold?

I have been searching the interwebs for hours but I simply couldn't find any information or a shop that sells the
Redmi Note 5 Global Version with B20 in Rose Gold.
I want to buy it to replace my wife's phone. the old phones battery's life span degraded and it's simply time to replace it.
all shops offer either the black or gold version but I have seen pictures of rose gold. which is my wife's preferred color.
could it be that rose gold is only reserved for the Chinese version? or even the global 6GB version which is still unreleased?

thanks but i don't think it is the global version.
there is zero indication it being the global version.
I came across rose-gold 6GB the official Taiwanese website. they even list it as sold out. so I kinda doubt that this shop is trustworthy. it probably just the Chinese version with a global ROM.

I don't care where it comes from as long as it's the proper version.
did you buy the 4GB Note 5 version in that shop?
it says they ship from the UK. so I guess you had no custom's fee to pay?
I don't think the 6GB version specifications are correct? 6GB version should have apt700 band 28 listed too.

thanks for the links.
it just confirms what I have come across in my recherche. as soon as it is rose gold it turns out to be Chinese version only.
I pulled the trigger on gearbests offer today for the global version in gold. my wife said now gold is fine with her too but would have preferred rose gold.
xiaomi really kinda sucks when it comes to naming convention of their phones (can be confusing. same model different names depending where in the world it's marketed) and when it comes to color choices. they started to ship one color before the blue and restricted (it seems) rose gold (every females favorite) to China only? in short its a mess...

thanks for the links.
it just confirms what I have come across in my recherche. as soon as it is rose gold it turns out to be Chinese version only.

Global Rom - where to get PCT-L29 or similar

Hi, from Australia,
I have bought UK based honor phones before, (5C not global rom - so some carriers didnt work) but would like to get an Honor View 20 global version , and know the actual model, so I can check the frequencies on frequency checker website before I buy.
I have tried Amazon India, and also tried Hi Honor, and even emailed Huawei in Australia ( long time Huawei user prior to using Honor 5C) so far no luck .
I did find a PCI-L29 for.. $1219 ,but thats a lot more expensive than the Malaysian / Indian prices.
At this level of price purchase, i am hoping to get the model that works internationally, as I found the PCT -L29 has the right bands for Australia, but very hard to buy.
So I thought this forum would be a great place to make my first post, and see what I can did up for how to buy one. Perhaps someone can share a link , if they have bought a global one.. plenty of ebay ones etc, but when you follow the link... not global .
This isnt just for me, others on some Australian tech forums also would love to know.
Thanks!
I'm in New Zealand using Pct_al10 (bought from India) I can confirm 4g and 3g work full signal on both my sims. I use Spark and Vodafone. You could lookup the bands they use and compare to the ones you need.

Hi Flamery, checked on frequency checker and not suitable (PCT-AL10 ) 5 bands missing for Australia - just in 4g) .
all those bands are available in the global rom.
Glad its working ok for you in NZ.
Maybe somebody else has a source of where I can get the PCT - L29 , or the international version, for less than $1219 AUD

I got mine from the below link. Its a local online shopping portal. Usually discount coupons are given near weekends or every few weeks. Coupons will be something like $100 off minimum $800 purchase. Which will offset the price from $829 to $729 for the 8gb model. Its local set, so warranty is only for Singapore, n region is Asia, so asia rom. I'm not sure if they do overseas shipping, u can ask them through the portal.

I obtained mine (PCT-L29) from Technolec, from eBay. They are an authorized reseller and have been great to work with.

Hello there. I have a big question.
I have the Chinese Variant which is PCT-AL10. Is it ever possible to install РСТ-L29 Global ROM on it by the aforementioned procedure? I have NO idea if the hardware is different or just the ROMs!
