I have .708 you can see in the image attached bellow i on STOCK ROM, UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER with ROOT and CUSTOM RECOVERY BUT S-ON
i am not able s-off with firewater i just need ARHD soo can i flash it on my S-ON device or S-ON is needed if yes than can any one guide me to flash stock latest version + rooted ... with S-ON.. thanks
Nope, you can't. You need S-Off to update firmware. *DON'T* flash ARHD without S-Off/updating firmware. Trust me, I made the mistake. Wait for OTA, or go S-Off
Not able to s off
I was trying hard for s-off m not able to do it with firewater and i m a student i cant pay 25$ to use sunshine

At least would you guys give me links for
RUU exe ?
Sorry for taking your time
You need stock recovery installed for OTA to proceed, no custom recovery.
Check this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701376
Or you can go here and use the sdcard method to install the RUU.

That is because you can't flash a recovery with an relocked bootloader !

It is possible to unlock it with the same unlock code that i received?
Problem solved by re unlocking and flash the stock recovery , it happens that it has custom recovery which i dont
remember when i installed it.
another thing , i remember clearly that Unlocking bootloader require erasing data, but when
i was trying to unlock after the first page of unlocking process, it took me to the recovery , and it is done
and no thing erased.

Updating to lollipop...

Hi guys
I'm really hoping you guys can help me.
So I have a M8 unlocked in the UK and i'm currently running ARHD 7.0 which is Android 4.4.2. I have never run any Android version higher than this on this device.
I'm trying to update to a Lollipop version of ARHD so I downloaded the latest ROM, tried to flash and ended up hanging at the HTC logo. I was kind of expecting this as I am currently using TWRP v2.7.0.2 and I understand most Lollipop ROMs require the latest version (2.8.4.0 I believe). The problem is that when I flash the latest TWRP, I get stuck at "Entering Recovery..." so I'm unable to continue.
I also understand I need to update the firmware but I was hoping somebody could confirm which version would be compatible with my device?
I've included all the details from my bootloader just in case it's of any help.
Thanks for the help guys

Hello. I can help you.
Download this onto your phone.
Rename it to 0P6BIMG.zip and place it onto the root of your extSD.
Boot into bootloader, and pick hboot.
Follow the prompts (vol up to flash, power to reboot when done).
Congratulations, you now have the latest firmware (4.16.401.10 ~ Lollipop) and TWRP 2.8.4.0 :good:
Delete the firmware zip from extSD when you are done, otherwise every time you boot into hboot, it'll try to update again.
Hi xunholyx
Thanks for your reply.
Just downloading now.
Awesome! So I have the latest firmware and TWRP is loading. Downloading skydragon now to give GPe a try. Can you suggest any nice ROMs?
Thanks for your help

[Q] how to update hboot?

I have S-off
Hboot 2.10.0001
fastboot returns an error for htcdev unlock
if it matters the radio is 2.15.00.11.19
I have clockwork recovery installed.
But I don't have permanent root or any custom roms yet not sure where to go from here to get the hboot updated so hopefully I can make it permanent root & install a rom.

Boot into cwm and flash a Superuser zip. Then you will have root and S off.
Running a RUU will be the best way to update your Hboot, firmware, software, etc. As stated above, to obtain root just install the latest version of SuperSU or Superuser via recovery.

I wanna install this rom in my phone.. I know I have to root my phone and have to install custom recovery But I dont know my phone is s-off or On!! I dont know how to check I dont know how to do it? So please someone help me to install a custom on my phone
I have Htc One M8 32GB EU version, I am on Stock 5.0.1, Software number 4.16.401.10
lemme know if you guys wanna know anything about my phone I will upload a screenshot too. Thanks in advance
Hello you too. First you go to unlock your bootloader (htcdev.com), then download twrp and flash it via fastboot command (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img, rename twrp recovery to recovery) Second download supersu package and flash it via recovery (twrp) Third download s.rom and flash it ? simply. You dont need s-off or change firmware. ?
You don't need to install superuser before flashing the rom. The rom is already rooted.
The term "root my phone" is wrong. You give the software (rom) root access. That's all.
