I wanted to make a Rom that comes as close to Nexus feel as possible. But still keep the best of Samsung. I love the camera and the Gallery from touchwiz, but all the rest feels so heavy in use. I took a look at all the stock apps on my S7 and there where exactly 3 apps I used daily. So I wanted to make a rom that was so lightweight and easy to use, with as much Google Apps in it as possible! And so I created NNR.
Nyssa Nexus C
This version of the rom is fully customizable with all the mods present, with all the Samsung apps to choose from in Aroma.
NOTE: This rom is still heavily debloated and can be customized Nexus Like - Not all samsung apps are present. If you want an app added just reply to the thread with the app and I'll add it!

Nyssa Nexus S
My first intent was to create a Samsung based rom but have as much Nexus Feel as possible. When pushing it to XDA alot of people asked to add other apps to it.
So I wanted to keep everyone happy, then added alot of apps and services to aroma. But it lost the Nexus feel. So now I created the Nyssa Nexus S rom for people
who still want to have as much Nexus and less Samsung. This rom is really small! Its only 989MB and is fully debloated!

Do I have to flash the CsC Files at this Rom or not?

I cannot seem to get the phone to boot after installing the ROM. I have installed the bootloader and modem from the Edge forum post; I've flashed one from the Superman post, and even my own stock bootloader and modem. I've also tried flashing it before installing the ROM, after installing it, and both. Every time it just sits at the Samsung logo. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How long have you let it sit at the Samsung boot animation? It takes quite a while to load on first boot.

Do I have the 'capture more' option after the screen capture if I flash either one of the ROM? That is my favorite Samsung feature. If so I will try your ROM. Thanks.

Does anyone else have issues with the always on display not working?

I can't get it to work either, no matter what I try. Would like to have this too. Does anyone have any pointers please?

I had the same problem, yellow non responsive screen with Jesse Kernel, choose original Kernel and it works.

Looks great and sounds promising, great work!
I think this ROM will be the reason for me to buy an S7.

I tried your Rom the nexus S. And I must say I am very pleased with it. Congrats for the clean rom

I wanna try this ROM, how stable is it?
I'm afraid to flash it just to test and then having to come back to current ROM because of stability issues.

to me it's rock stable. it's fast because of it being ODEXED. and it debated so battery friendly. I couple it with the latest Jesse Kernel. and I have more than 7h30 SOT. with mixed usage ( candy Crash, Facebook messenger, whatsapp, Instagram, chrome navigation, xda lab reading.) I must say that I use Amplify, and Greenify.
it's the best SOT i had on any device I tested and customised ( mine's, my family's and my friend's).
I hate the boot and shutdown animation though, it's 3D looking, nothing to do with material design and pure google stock boot animation. I would have loved to see Android N boot animation, in order to stay in coherence with the overhaul design codes of android.
( the phone is premium the boot animation design is not)
it is the only negative point of this rather excellent ROM (the best in my point of view)

Great thorough review.
I think I'll flash it over the weekend.
Thank you very much, cheers!

hey people,
the always on display should work ? couse its not for me

is it possible the dpi settings doesn't work correctly?
i would love to flash this rom but no matter what dpi (from 480 to 640, 640 should be samsung stock, after short research) i choose, everything looks pretty small (too small for me).

It doesn't work for a couple of us it seems like. That is the only thing preventing me from coming back. If you don't care for or need it, it really is the best rom to flash imo.

Personally, I think there is a big different in Stability between Hawk and F1, and for some people don't like the fly in effect in F1 like me. That just my opinion between 2 rom. I like the stability and performance in Hawk rom but love the look of F1 so I just moded it to my own rom. As I stated before, the aim is for stability speed and battery life, for people just want to Flash and use daily without after-flash modification. But It can be moded to your own choice as well
Thanks

There is a reason why many rom devs dont make a jvq version. Its not really better than jvp, so its not worth updating.. Maybe samsung will release official 2.3.4 soon.

Well, as far as I know, there are some improvements and most of the ROMs I see do have JVQ versions...
Therefore I thought more would do JVQ versions.

You are right, JVQ is not yet fully deodexed, the browser has bugs causing lag due to deodexed so not many custom JVQ right now. But I think JVQ outperforms JVP
Now this is the sort of ROM i've been looking for! I absolutely love the look of F1 GS2 but really hated the lag and general instability. I'll install this ROM and let you know how I get on with it .

Just flashed this rom along with speedmod kernal, loving it so far. My only quirk is that I don't like the looks of the browser, is there a way to switch back to stock looks?

Can you check if speedmod has problem with Bluetooth when wifi-on at startup? What you meant the look of Browser? Is it Menu? If yes then I'm seeking the way to change it. Actually I don't like it too. Hope to see more feedback like this.
Thanks
BT with Wi-Fi seems to be fine for me, just transferred a photo from my PC. And by look I meant the menu and the address bar.
EDIT : Also, how can I have a textured status bar? Something similar to chebon's ROM. I've tried the thread on it and that doesn't work(Adding a few images in framework-res).

[ROM][06-01-12]AOSP+ V2.2|ICS 4.0.3|Source Built-Nice Mods|See what the + is about!

AOSP+
ROM has been fully tested now and ready to go.
This is a port of my Nexus S ROM to Galaxy Nexus CDMA. You can check HERE to see what users have said about ROM on the Nexus S.
I do not have Galaxy Nexus so a few people just tested on IRC and it is ready to go. Bear with me as some of the status bar widgets are not fully built yet and as other functions are built for GNex over the next few days. Some settings in AOSP+ Tweaks will not work on GNex and will have replacement functions for them soon.
ROM:
Neapolitan flavor ICS 4.03 with Stock Kernel.
Built and compiled from AOSP.
Bits from CM and some of my own are included.
This is a totally base ROM with very few modifications added to it once it was done compiling. Does not contain any Google services out of the box. You must add GApps, which can be found below. Your phone will have the most basic Android platform. You can text, surf, talk and do everything else you expect with an Android phone but without any of the Google services.
All additions were imported very carefully as to use only source code that is required and nothing extra. I am trying to keep this as close to stock as possible while adding some useful enhancements.

Anyone...you guys are missing out on a great ROM if I do say so myself
Sorry busy day. Just got to install a little bit ago. So far I think u have pretty nice start here. Wish more of the features worked in asop+ tweaks. Show battery % in status bar does not work. The only other thing as of rite now is it could use a way better kernal. I will post more later after I get some more use out of it. Really love the setup though

v2.2
Thanks! Working very well so far. Seems stable, haven't tested battery life or anything yet (but I'm using a different kernel anyways [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1422956], so battery life might even matter anyways.
EDIT: I noticed the status bar tweak to add the LED flashlight doesn't show up either. No big deal, I don't think it does on other ROMs either.

Thanks! Working very well so far. Seems stable, haven't tested battery life or anything yet (but I'm using a different kernel anyways [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1422956], so battery life might even matter anyways.

Fix wifi being enabled when exiting out of airplane mode
Fix silent mode detection in status bar widget
Fix automatic brightness when filtering is disabled
Fix rotation lock, upgrade to ICS API
Fix speaker icons on status bar widget
Galaxy Nexus - added ICS blue status bar widgets as in Nexus S build
More to come...
Thank you for trying ROM.
Use custom kernel to activate more of the AOSP+ Tweaks. Working on BLN replacement for Galaxy Nexus. Will be able to control led flash and color if the hardware allows it. I do not have device so it is hard for me to test so hopefully more will join for the ride
Thanks once again!
So now I will have both of my nexus phones Androiduser powered bad ass as you can get

Awesome! I was using this ROM on my Nexus S and loved it! Just bought my Galaxy Nexus yesterday and knew I would be able to use this on it as well. Downloading now and will give it a shot. I'll let you know if I find any bugs.
Any suggestions on a kernel to use with this for the best battery life?

No ideas on kernel, you would be a good person to help me test since you been using it on the Nexus S. Besides the BLN settings is everything else running the same?
Thanks!
I'm running on both nexus's Franco's kernel on galaxy nexus and matrix on nexus s and so far its amazing on both. The only bugs I've found so far are the minor ones known related to the toggle buttons. Don't know if your aware but I donated a couple hours ago. Thanks and keep up the amazing work. Only has my galaxy nexus a few hours so much more testing but so far its just as smooth as it is on nexus s

Thanks guys!
So there is no difference between the Nexus S and GNex, cool.
Feel free to email or add me to google talk. My email is the same as my user name here, just add @google.com
Maybe you guys can help me test AOSP+ tweaks that I have been working on. It has control for the LED on the GNex instead of BLN.
Thanks of the donation.

Sure, may you send me a link please?
The stock animation is in framework so if you place a bootanimation.zip file in media folder it will be the new boot animation.
Thanks!
Any different issues on Galaxy Nexus?

I've yet to find any issues. I used franco and mathkids kernels the last couple of days. I love the toggles in the drop down and your extras. I actually haven't looked anywhere else because I'm so satisfied with your build

I tested that bootanimation and it is the real deal. Very high resolution
I noticed that android system is draining battery. Dont know if its rom or kernel related. Seems to happen on both kernels I've tried?

mirror are coming
JellyBean747 Milestone 7 Graystone Quick Fixes:
M7QuickFix: Includes SecMMS and No Frills CPU. SecMMS will replace your current Messaging and fix MMS issues. This update will also install No Frill CPU. Use No Frills CPU to set your CPU Minimum to 486Mhz and set at Power save and apply at boot. This way you will now gain additional battery life and those with the black screen of death should no longer experience it.
Download M7QuickFix
Sprint Boot: This is the Sprint Image and Modules. This does not include screen rotation. However if you flash this you are less likely to experience the black screen of death that some of you are experiencing and you will also now have 1080p recording without choppiness. The downside of this is screen rotation is messed up and things will be upside down such as attempting to record video in the camera.
Download Sprint Boot Image
Recommendations: I recommend using my included kernel and using no frills to set the minimum at 486mhz at boot. You can still record from the camera at 720p until the issue is solved and this is still great quality on the phone.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but root has always for my permissions on my phone. Superuser seems to work fine and I am able to adb fine as well. I have not had any force closes in Browser yet, maybe because I tend to use Chrome more then Browser. However I still have not once force close on the rom. I have yet to run Facebook longer then 5 minutes but it did not force close on me and has sync'd fine. There is some issue with other things syncing however such as calendar. I had to turn that on and off before it re-synced.
If you have a issue, simply don't run the rom. For me and many others it seems to work fine. When we have an official build we will use that but with this and future improvements it's something to start. I offered something for people to enjoy not to bash. Don't use it if you don't like it.

wow you went hostile on me like im against your contribution or time. i respect it and not against your work. i was just stating when i tried stock browser its always vibrating twice & closing down which leads to a problem in webcore.so and as far as facebook if you click someone's link its then it'd cause problems. i never mentioned anything about sync because it works well. and running the rom? i am running it right now too, and yeah remove browser for chrome and so forth even im aware of that before anything. and lets say for a noobie they're gonna question you 1,000 times as to why they're getting shell issues so you might as well be prepared to let them know what needs to be done rather then turning hostile like you did just now. and did u ever have skyrocket i727 ? cause i remember seeing you there.
alright here is my breakdown, I wiped everything than installed, smooth rom browser is still an issue phone vibrates then closes tried clearing cache etc still a no go ( I use chrome for the most part) havent tried the facebook app but here is a tip use fb from the chrome browser looks exactly like the app plus loads a hell of alot faster imo. any questions feel free to ask

The rPort Project is a collection of ROM ports for every major skinned version of Android (e.g. MotoBlur, Touchwiz, Sony UX, etc.). These ROMs are fully stable all through development and are ready for everyday use as new features are being ported. An rPort is different than a traditional port for the fact that we slowly introduce features into the ROM as they become operational. Thus keeping the ROM's ready for everyday activity.
Xpert ROM is the XPERIA rPort.

We spend large amount of our free time developing these rPort’s. We can't spend as much time on XDA due to this, so if you need assistance, please try the following:
1) Search. They have a search function for a reason. There are many pages in our thread and an answer may be in there if you do a little digging.
2) Try working out your issue yourself before posting it. You may be able to fix it and gain some knowledge along the way.
3) Ask a question on the thread. Someone (not always a team member) will most likely come to your aid. Assuming that your question isn’t ridiculous or downright dumb.

---------------------Update for V1.0-----------------------------
I actually had quiet a few issues with it.
1) The launcher will force close at times and also if you click the theme option under the home screen edit view.
2) My home button/screen would be unresponsive at times for some odd reason requiring me to
3) besides the launcher there was nothing more xperiaish to it. I would like to see more!
Besides that it did run kind off smooth but the sudden screen locks really made this a hassle.
Appreciate your hard work and different approach. Looking forward to all the fixes in the future thou.
tried and it to be honest, please dont be offended as this is constructive criticizm, it doesnt feel at all anything close to xperia rom.. all the UI , status bar, etc. are stock android.
the only thing xperia about it is the launcher. xperia wallpapers or live wallpapers arent even included

Thank you Esteway. Also it is only v1.0 This is just my starting point. New features will be added. I do plan to mod the system ui with xperia soft keys and change the opacity to 80%. Also it has many of the xperia widgets. I am going to be adding xperia apps in the next version too. Which I plan on releasing in the upcoming days.

tried and it to be honest, please dont be offended as this is constructive criticizm, it doesnt feel at all anything close to xperia rom.. all the UI , status bar, etc. are stock android.
the only thing xperia about it is the launcher. xperia wallpapers or live wallpapers arent even included

I do embrace constructive criticism very openly. As this is a first version I am more likely to add what my uses suggest as opposed to later on version 3 for example. Also make sure your constructive criticism is actually constructive.

Can't you make a flashable zip for this to use with a rom as an addon package . Just like the touchwiz ui thread in themes and apps section . I think its better to post this in themes and apps section if it only contain ui changes . it's ok to post in development if this is actually a port as i think .
No offence buddy . just shared my opinion here . Good luck with future versions .

thank you so much!

This is half and half. Parts are ported and modded. Others are not.
Track ID doesn`t work for me. Error 70001 in the app.
Hopefully you could port the Navigationbar-icons and the Live-wallpaper and other Apps too. Don`t get me wrong, but for now it just feel like another rom with changed bootanimation and another launcher. But I`m really looking forward to this rom, cause I like the Sony-overlay and have to wait till my contract ends
I was eyeing the Xperia Z muhself for it's killer hardware....I will try this one and taste it.....this definitely is something unique and fresh...

This ROM is a remix of the best options coming from famous team and developer: AOKP BEANSTALK CrDroid ChameOS CM MOKEE OMNI PA SLIM VANIR etc. with custom build kernel based on Imoseyon with cherry-picks options from ASKP, ezkeels,faux123, Fancy & Franco.
The maguro thread is here
Burstlam's rom is famous in china, from android4.0 to android4.4,even named "the best rom for maguro".
I just build one from sources for toroplus without any mod.
Thank you Burstlam!
KNOWN ISSUE and COMMON QUESTIONS
1. Don't dirty flash over it , get full wipe and clean before you update from other genius works.
2. Flashing kernels : 3rd party kernel that consist of CM ramdisk(ie flash with a boot.img image) is not compatible with this rom.
3. On restoring App with Titanium Backup: for those who switching roms all the time, it is recommend to wipe dalvik cache again with recovery.
dalvik cache generated by different rom build from different toolchains may not be compatible. You better do it prior to ART conversion.
4. If you flash SuperSu over this rom, pls checked "Enable su during boot" option in menu, otherwise, root privileges won't work
5. For dev reason I have switch adb logging on in developer options. Turn it off if you don't need it and somehow it save battery and
better performance.
6. Currently no proper ui restart function presents, dpi changes and some ui changes need to check the system ui restart option (under developer options) or even a reboot(using hot reboot option should work in most cases) .
7. Wifi Display Support : You need to check the option "Wireless display certification" under developer options to work properly.

DOWNLOAD :
ROM : HERE
NOTE 1: To get Root working normally, Please uncheck "Respect CM root settings" in SuperSU.
NOTE 2: On Custom Wallpaper with Mms: you cannot pick the pics with recent tab in DocumentUI, you need to browse your folder(swipe it out from left hand size and pick the actual location of the pic), otherwise you will get FC with it.
GAPPS :
RECOMMEND GAPPS PACKAGE FROM BANKS
PA version works fine with this, but u could get alternative options:
Gapps minmal version : HERE
Note: only with Play store and sync options, you need to download google options from play store by yourself. At least google search needed in order to avoid FC with in-app search...

OMG I'm sooo going to try this as soon as I get home today. Wifi display has been something I've been looking for forever! Thanks!
this 2nd build for toroplus is amazing. it's also the first 4.4.2 rom that i have tried that has bluetooth media streaming to my car perfectly (aside from slim, which appears to be using an older bluetooth setup)
thank you for this. solid and amazing.
Great ROM! Installed yesterday, and so far everything works. 3g/4g connectivity, bluetooth, etc. And wifi display works beautifully. I can now finally make use of my miracast dongle.
Edit cam also works just fine. Love this.
This is the fourth ROM I've flashed today and the first one I haven't been able to crash with heavy multitasking. I'll have to see how the data switching goes tomorrow, and if all goes well then this will be my daily. Definitely one of the most underrated ROMs in the forum. One question though, how do you change the lockscreen targets?
Edit: I spoke too soon. Crashed logging into tapatalk while listening to music.

I'm finding more and more people report of crashes while music is playing. This has been my issue on several ROMs.

This [email protected]@ is legit!!! So far for me has been very very smooth. Data has been good, I do prefer stock messaging to hangouts but, I can deal with hangouts. Other than that very nice job!:good:

The stock messaging is included you can make it default through settings in hangouts.
Also, I found the lock screen settings in the security tab. Again, excellent Rom and kernel!

This ROM is better than any that are being developed for the Nexus 5 in terms of features.....there are literally no ROMs in the N5 forums that have pie built in at this point and I'm trying to figure out where you pulled the lockscreen notification feature from as well. Great job with this.....I think you should head over and build for the Nexus 5 too. Keep it up!!

Man, I don't know what you did with the latest, but I'm loving this build. No lags, super smooth and a great list of features.

Thanks for the heads up, I know I'm a dummy but, this old dog is learning a new trick and hangouts hasn't been too bad...
And yes this has been an excellent rom and battery life has been pretty decent for me as well, for some reason my Gnex loves the slim roms because I always get crazy life with it.
I concur, [lock-screen notifications] is the most useful feature I never knew I needed!
I am having only a couple of issues with the ROM though.
1. The pop-up app-picker is not remembering my preferences when I select the "always" button.
2. Data switching isn't working correctly. I assume it's using the same method as CM? The problems arise in spotty 4g areas or if just on the edge of LTE coverage. From home I can literally watch my 4g pop on and of about every two seconds... switch back and forth with 3g, and the whole time not have data. Out traveling, the data is quick to switch towers and even though the icon shows up white the data is non-existent. I had to toggle air-plane and reboot multiple times today. I would best describe the data switching as overly aggressive. With that being said, Omni is the only ROM for toroplus that can properly handle data switching in my geographic area. Whatever they did to change it in their 1.05 nightly really nailed it. Is there any way to implement the OMNI data switching methods in this ROM?
Outside of that I absolutely love this ROM. Butter smooth, stable, voice+ support, and lockscreen notifications FTW. If data switching worked better this would for sure be my daily driver.
Best ROM I've tried yet aosp-wise. Very smooth and plays games well which I haven't seen yet.
My house has a tough time with reception and although hands free activation went like a breeze, I had trouble receiving an MMS message which made me nervous so I switched back to stock as I get a lot for work. Will get a better test on network when I try it this weekend
