[Q] mobile data problem

i can only use data over wifi and have no mobile data on my defy i know where the switch is in normal android but it seems to be moved in blur can any one help

it came because it rooted through 1 click root
if i where u use z4root i didnt have the problem this time!

Menu>Settings>Wireless and networks>below the wifi settings is all your data settings to put APNs to make it work. Most cases its automatically configured.

[Q]Last Firmware Update: Lost My Internet Connection [HELP]

Please help me guys! After the last firmware update (4.0.A.2.368) i lost my network internet connection (only with wi-fi works)
I call my network provider and they send me via SMS the internet settings, i try to put it on and i get an error message!
After this i try to type manualy the settings in a new APN profile and when i try to save it... do nothing, can't save it !!
Any idea what can i do now ?

Activate wifi and go to Parameters/SonyEricsson/Download parameters for MMS and Internet.

The solution is a change of SIM

I try to download the settings but don't work, i get error message!
Any other idea or must do that friend say to change my SIM?

Do a clean flash with Wotanserver. Might help.

Some people reported here that it doesn't work with lock code on......

I have this problem too, the thing is that if you have the SIM LOCK enabled(PIN) your APN settings will never appear, you can't create them or save anything, but if you disable it then you can download both internet and MMS APNs.
I dunno why this is happening because i didn't have this problem before.

If you look at your internet settings and you have [] around any or them delete the [] and you will be back in business

Yes!!! It was so simple, just get off the pin code from sim card and working! Thank you so much,i think this will help many people!

I was searching for this solution for 3 days. Finally today I've changed the SIM card with Telenor Helpdesk to a brand new one, but didn't helped. I've spoke with SE Helpdesk, he couldn't help.

[Q] Wi-Fi Hostpot Not working (Simple Mobile).

hi guys
i'm having issues with my hotspot, everytime i try to connect it it will disconect.
I mean i enable it and when i connect with my laptop it will disable automatically.
Any sugestions??
My phone is rooted and i'm using simple mobile

Did you try deleting or freezing the hotspot manager file?

If you have any battery managers running while it is on they will turn off your data connection if the battery gets low. Make sure your apn settings are correct for your network. Use Titanium Backup to freeze hotspot manager and/or tethering manager.

[Q] htc desire 816,CM12,browser not working on mobile data

I rooted my HTC desire 816 and currently have CM12 on it.
Everything worked well while i was on WIFI. I managed to update apps, sync email accounts etc.
However when I'm not at home and on mobile data, browser, Google Chrome and google play store won't work.
When I get back on WIFI, such apps work as per normal again. It seems like there's a problem when I'm on mobile data.
Thanks in advanced. I tries clearing cache and browser data nothing works.

What version of the 816 do you have?
If the Virgin Mobile version, flash the APN fix.
If not, check to see if your APN settings are set up correctly.

Just flashed this and now I'm roaming and text/Data still doesn't work...

mobile data not working with some apps after updating to 10

Hey guys ive updated to 10 today and discovered that plenty of apps doesn't work with mobile data, including play store. Already did factory reset, everything with APN settings. Same thing happend to my mothers phone. Any clue?

I have the same problem. But it was working before I factory reset the phone. So maybe something went wrong during the process, but I don't know what.
3G or 4G is displayed on the status bar, signal is good but no connection.
Right now I am using a custom rom and no problem so far.
What is your provider?

It's Orange Polska, what rom are using? Could you sent me instructions how to get through rooting? I haven't done that in years.

We dont have the same provider. So maybe it's something about the install of the system.

A10 update change configuration of access point. You have to enter settings->Network & Interrnet->Mobile network->Orange. Then tap at "Advice" and at the bottom you have option "Access Point Names". Here first AP will be "orange Internet Ipv6" that "v6" is a problem. You can't eddit this AP, so You have to add new wth IP addresation as IPv4, not V6
