Video uploaded from Oneplus 3 to facebook is in slow motion. - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I have got my Oneplus 3 two days ago. I am just loving it for its performance and good design. There is one of the issue that I have noticed. When you make a video and upload it to facebook. After upload is complete, when you play it on facebook, it's in slow motion. To troubleshoot if its the problem of facebook app or Oneplus 3, I have copied the video to my pc and uploaded it to facebook from there and this time, the video was played in real pace not in slow motion. Does anyone knows how to fix it. Something is wrong with the Oneplus 3 uploading process. Please help.

Slow loading Gallery?

Hey, guys. Loving my Note II. This is actually my second one and they have both had this issue.
The Gallery loads super slow, especially when it's accessed through another app (such as when you're sending an MMS). I tried quickpic and it seems to be faster. I wonder if it has to do with the Picasam, Facebook, and Dropbox integration? I do have a lot of albums.
I haven't tried turning those off yet, but I like the idea of having access to my web albums through the gallery, so I'd rather not. However, the slow loading gallery is starting to drive me nuckign futs. Anyone else notice this? Any idea what causes it? Is it my web albums?
Thanks!
Yes, quickpic a lot faster.....

What class memory card do you have? I find the faster the card the faster they will load.

mine lags and slow loads as well. I absolutely hate the large thumbnails in the gallery that are not rendered clearly. They are all fuzzy/blurred until you select one picture and expand it.
I prefer quik pic also. My memory card is a Sansdisk ultra class ten 32 gb
If you have your Facebook pics synced with your gallery, you will immediately and without a doubt experience an extremely noticeable slow down in the your gallery performance.
When I got my Note II, I didn't immediately sync my Facebook to my gallery. The gallery flew at the speed of light. Eventually, I synced my Facebook photos so they would show up in my gallery. BIG MISTAKE! Immediately, I noticed an extreme slow down. Before, if I wanted to change my static wallpaper to a photo from my gallery, it would be fast and effortless. After the FB sync, it would literally take many many many seconds before my gallery would fully load to the point where I could go through my different gallery photos. It wasn't immediately apparent to me what caused the performance lag, until other posters in a thread on XDA brought up the issue, and someone posted about FB syncing causing the lag. As soon as I removed the FB photo syncing, my gallery immediately reverted back to the amazingly fast speed it had before. I haven't had any issues since.
Fb and db sync makes gallery unusable. Have to wait a minute or two before able scroll through, otherwise it would jump back to the selected folder.

[Q] how to export slow mo video? instagram, social media. etc etc

Hello xda!
Just picked up an lg g3. Shot some slow mo video, but cant seem to get it to upload in slow mo. The quality is also jaggedy on my end.
Did a quick google search and couldn't find anything. The only way to get slow mo to play is in the default gallery app.
I know with samsung and apple they have default editors, but it seems like lg dropped the ball on this one... Unless im missing something? I would like to avoid having to upload to a third party video editor.
Thanks for any advice!

slowmo video is normal video that is recorded at a higher frame rate and then slowed down you can't upload it because most sites have max frame rate count or they just play it in normal speed. the quality is because some apps use data compression to not overload there servers unfortunately that breaks quality

Uploading photos to FB quality

Wanted to know if it is just me
WHen I upload photos to facebook using the FB app, the quality loss is horrendous. I'm talking if I re download the posted photo off of a friend's wall, it is around 100 kb, resolution of 960x540 (although the photo on my phone is 2 mb), it looks like absolute ****, pixelated, not big enough (even when full screened)
has this happened to anyone? I have tried uploading to FB right from the gallery, and uploading from the FB app, same thing
Any ideas? Thanks
ARHD 10.2, Android 4.4.3
Of course, from my PC, the same photo (uploaded to google drive, then FB) uploads fine to FB, in full quality/resolution
Doesn't that happen with all smartphone uploads? To get the full 100% quality you need to go on your computer and create an album and check the quality button.

hmm, i dont think so, maybe back in the day. It is all high quality now, if I upload right to fb from my computer (without checking high quality) it is fine. And my past phones never had this problem, it just this this. Trust me when I say the quality is terriblee in comparison
oddly enough, problem is solved if i upload from facebook.com mobile site from my google chrome app
must be the FB app then..

Nexus 5X Lag

Using snapchat and even just the regular camera, I am experiencing a lot of lag when the camera is first loading up.
snapchat is really slow.
instagram is slow as well/
anyone else seeing the same problem?
The camera and instagram apps don't lag for me. But Snapchat definitely does -- it's pretty bad. But that is absolutely the only app that I have experience any kind of lag with.
Snapchat lags pretty bad and gsm battery stats. IG is not laggy at all for me
I'm also experiencing lag after launching regular camera app. It takes a few seconds for the app to settle down and be able to focus/take pictures.
I'm also experiencing lag if you take multiple HDR+ photos in a roll....
I hope Google could optimize the app more.
The Google Play Newsstand app gets very laggy for me if I view a few feeds in a row.
I get most of my lag in Chrome when viewing a page with lots of images. Sometimes the phone lags when I unlock it and tries to switch apps. Memory leak issue like Lollipop?
Try signing up for snapchat beta, when I first got my 5X the lag in snapchat was unbearable, each of the 3 snapchat updates since first using the 5X have greatly improved the usability of the app. Still lags on camera startup and while taking pictures, but the rest of the app has gotten a lot better of the past few days.
Make sure you are running the latest software build, MDB08I. I don't use Snapchat but it definitely helped smooth out the camera app

Snapchat is an incompatibility with marshmallow. I had it with my nexus 6 as well
I have not noticed egregious lags, but frame drops are aplenty. Google's animation team did a wonderful job to hide the most irritating aspects of animations, but anyone who is semi-sensitive to dropped frames can see frames dropping left and right.
Stock camera definitely lags more often than not for me. I do have Camera FV-5 so I might give that a try more and see if it's more reliable.

Snapchat lag is horrible, basically can't use it
I'll have to try out Snapchat Beta and see if it fixes it otherwise, this really blows.
If you use Casper instead of the official Snapchat app, you'll see significantly less lag. I still get some bad freezes even with SC uninstalled, though
I've noticed some lag here and there, but nothing worse than I was seeing on my Nexus 5 previously. I'd like to see if disabling the encryption has any positive impact on these kinds of behaviors. Presently I don't have a reliable way to make the N5X start lagging but if anyone else does, maybe we can begin working around it.

I didn't know about Casper, thanks!!!
I didn't noticed any lag on mine..
The Lag is real
This phone acts so slow compared to the rooted and flashed Nexus 5 I had, its laggy between switching apps, browsing, FB and even when simply going to the home screen from whatever I was doing. I've tried downgrading the animation scales in Dev Settings and still. Not sure ifi will need to return phone or root and flash.....
Been seeing quite snappy performance all around, quite similar to my old z2. The camera definitely has a little stutter as it is first opened though. I'd like to blame some of the stutters and weirdness I am currently experiencing to the state of apps on marshmallow. By weirdness, I mainly just get some bizarre behavior from the hangouts app.
Performance is quick and snappy just like my N5.
Mine is laggy like a dog in the stock camera app while loading/changing from portrait to landscape/taking the photo.
I've had years old androids run faster than that. I hope there is a fix soon.

Pixelated/Jagged Video Issue with Redmi Note 5 Pro (Facebook, Instagram, Twitch)

Hi I just got my Redmi Note 5 Pro, everything works fine but one thing that I'm really frustrated with is when I'm watching videos (not photos) on native apps like Facebook, Instagram or Twitch, the video is super pixelated and horrendous even at highest quality chosen. However, when I try to visit these sites on browser (Chrome) and watch the video, everything works fine, the quality is perfect. Here is some sample screenshots that I've taken: https://imgur.com/a/BwyBL3z (notice the pixelated and border of the text, it's actually horrible)
And here is my phone specs (About phone): https://imgur.com/a/vhg2OY1
Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this because of MIUI 10 or some problems with my phone?
More information: Youtube and Twitter in-app video seems to work fine, at least visually to my eyes. By the way, please don't tell me it's the internet issue because my internet is great and everything loads at highest quality option. Thanks for reading.

I think its a software issue and it sucks, try uploading something in Instagram (instagram stories) and experience the 3 fps video and the worst quality ever, I dont know why this happens, but I'm thinking of selling my xiaomi redmi note 5 pro, for these tiny but very important problems for me.

For the Instagram:
It is software issue, but not hardware-software problem, its more like software-rom problem, because i used to experience that too, atleast for the Instagram. But..... it was when i use MIUI 10, right after i tried custom rom, (i use PE) the problem is gone, and Instagram is capable to upload at the highest quality too (2k @ 60fps). So the conclusion is that, instagram not fully optimized for MIUI yet, because it has a lot of bugs in it. by the way, if you really wanted to fix that ig problem and dont want to change rom, i can suggest you to try GBinsta (look it up at google search you can find one), i dont know why, using the modded apk seems to work better at MIUI. So good luck, have a nice day :good:

Thanks for the advice. I tried Instagram version 51 and the upload quality is superb, and it sucks that such a great spec'd phone has so tiny annoying problems I even sent bug reports to Xiaomi via e-mail and didn't get a single reply, before this phone I had a Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and the camera in snapchat was HORRIBLE to say the least. I think android in general has these problems, because when I use my friends iPhone 6S Plus, the picture quality or video quality in every app is superb, and video quality in apps like IG or Facebook is superb too. Literally thinking about switching to iPhone even though I love the freedom of android.
Thanks for your reply.
slightly off topic but i've noticed photos i share in facebook messenger look very jagged , especially screenshots .
