You can try Open Camera or Footej Camera. Both have lots of manual controls.

Camera app

Which camera app are you using with the OP3?
I'm wondering if I should use another app with more functions than the stock camera.
Can anybody recommend a good alternative?

Unfortunately the camera API appears to be buggy. Someone said the OP2 had camera API issues at the start and they took care of them quickly, so I'm optimistic. Third party cameras rely on that API, so they'll be kind of crippled until it's fixed.
As for cameras, I'm a big fan of FV5 and ProShot. It depends on what you are looking for. I definitely don't care for filter-centric cameras, so I can't suggest anything.
Can you record 1080p 60fps with alternative camera apps? Try for example open camera.
Thanks
I'm waiting someone make a port of OPPO camera, I had it on the 1+1 and I love it. Now I'm using native Camera and google Camera but I had install htc and meizu camera too.
Does the OP3 camera API support the full features of ProShot?
Coming from a Note4 particularly missing white balance sampling for documents and such.
Thanks.

I guess the LG don't public your API
I tested "YouCam Perfect - Selfie Cam" from playStore this app has (hand gesture shot) and (Live Beauty), a good app
And I have "Snap Camera HDR", like a professional camera with functions
this both apps can do more than original camera from AOSP
I make Lightroom adobe camera.. N i will to try download snap HDR now.

The best câmera for me is open câmera, better then Snap Camera HDR for me.

Should I be using the default camera?

Should I be using the default camera app? I like that I can double tap home to quick access, and I don't think that I can do that with third-party app.
I have a3 and i find the stock camera photos kinda soft or fuzzy ...theres not much detail... Im using open camera because is the first camera api2 compatible camera i found... The images are significantly better in terms of clarity/detail... If you have any suggestion for a camera app I'm open....
I use Manual camera https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.vipek.camera2
You can use Manual mode! It's amazing!
If u can't pay it there are some external stores that have it....cof cof aptoide cof cof!!
Good luck :good:
Is there anyway to get the double press short cut to work for third party cameras?

Started using it and it's great. I tried camera fv-5 and I preferred manual camera! But the thing about fv-5 is that you can switch to video camera easily since there's a corresponding video camera app. Wish manual camera had that.

Manual Camera

Is there a camera app, possibly a modification of the stock camera Google Camera app, that allows for full-fledged manual operations and control?
I mean an app that allows you to control the camera like a DSLR. Of course without the aperture and the focal length..
Thanks in advance
Try proshot on the app store
Camera FV-5 from the play store

Pro shot camera
Footej camera
Lumio cam
The only 3 I can recommend at this time. Don't waste your money on camera fv-5 until the developers show they wanna keep their app you to date... hasn't been updated since Sept of last year. There's bugs and I wouldn't count on support at this point.
Also, don't waste your money on manual camera as it to is buggy and very inconsistent updates.

But isn't there a modified version of the stock camera that allows for manual controls? I want hdr+ so badly?
I have heard that the Nokia camera app is coming soon to all android phones. That would be the best manual camera app. Just wait for a bit more.
