Bluetooth shuts off on its own, even while connected to Samsung Gear Live watch.... - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note5

Hey y'all - hope someone can help. I'm on stock, non-rooted, att note 5. It's been working like a charm all these months that I've had it. Except yesterday, spontaneously out of NOWHERE, the bluetooth just turned itself off. In fact, it was working just fine all day, connected to my watch, got into my car and it connected there just fine. Even had a bluetooth call on the car's speaker. Left the car, and THAT'S when it happened. The BT icon just turned off (from the notification drawer). I tap on it, and it doesn't turn on. So I go into the BT settings directly, tap on the toggle switch, I watch it turn on for a split-second, then it just shuts off.
Now, here's the weird part, when I boot into safe mode, it works JUST FINE. All that happened recently were app updates, like the android wear app, but I didn't see any settings in the update that would cause this. ANYONE HAVE ANY CLUE?!
PLEASE HELP!

A few BT Niggles

Hi Guys,
Ive got a few BT niggles which im sure are easy enough to get round when someone starts getting some custom roms out but i cant seem to find a way around them at the minute, issues are:
- When phone is in standby (aka screen off) and you try and make a call via bluetooth car kit it turns phone and on says please unlock before making a call, if i turn the screen on before making the call it goes through.
- When you disconnect from car kit aka turn the car off etc it comes up with a notification and says its been disconnected and to hold the phone to your ear, this doesnt go away until you press dismiss.
None of these problems are show stoppers by any means but they are annoying when you just want to get in / out the car and making calls etc, aka i cant just get in the car and make a call, i have to turn the screen on first, and i cant get out the car and carry on as ive got to press dismiss on the screen as it keeps the phone switched on (screen on) until you press dismiss so i could accidentally press buttons etc plus will wear battery down.
If anyones managed to work these problems out then please let me know!
Cheers
Jas
Voice Command V1.6
Hi Guys,
I also have a problem with bluetooth... well voice command.
I had the TYTN 2 with WM6.1 working perfectly with VC 1.6 and so naturally assumed that TP2 would be the same, sadly I was wrong :-(
It doesnt even try to use the software, bluetooth connects perfectly but I cannot initiate VC with the usual hardware button.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I had the same problems - in an Audi A6 for what it's worth. On my TP2 had both a PIN device lock and the option to show owners info when switched on.
Disabled both of these, and it now works perfectly in the car. Not quite sure which was causing the problem and may reinstate PIN followed by Show Owners Info to try to isolate.
TP2 Brilliant phone - have been using a TyTn2 for the last 18 months or so which I also thought was exceptional.
desperately seeking BT DUN
Hi all,
I am missing to be able to connect my TP2 via Bluetooth to my Nokia mobiles (N73, 5800) which do not provide PAN or NAP profiles but only DUN.
I need to use the SIM-card in the Nokia for the data-only connection whilst using the SIM-card in TP2 for phone-only connection.
I tried all the tricks in this and other forums. Unfortunately the most promising approach ("New installation file for Bluesoleil drivers! " - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=251995) doesn't let me download the file.
Who got it to work? Who knows how to enable in the TP2?
thank you, Franky

OK Google only working when phone display turned on

Okay so this started yesterday, 4/4/16
The OK Google prompt will work in terms of activating on my watch, but when I speak it wont connect to my phone and will eventually say it's offline even though there is no cloud icon showing im disconnected.
But, as soon as i turn the display on my phone on and repeat the prompt, OK google will function perfectly.
I ran a test 20 times with the phone display off and 20 times with it on. The watch was "offline" every time the display was off and worked perfectly by simply pressing the home button and turning the phone display on. I have a galaxy note 5.
Anyone else suffering the same problem?

I always thought that's how it was supposed to work? I thought the watch had to be on to "listen".
I have had a similar experience with my Note 4, but not as highly reproducible as yours. Sometimes "OK Google" did not work and showed "offline", but when I activated my phone, it worked instantly.
Samsung has some energy saving feature introduced for "battery optimization". I turned it completely off and the problem seems to have almost vanished. I think this battery optimization forces the Android Wear app on the phone to go to sleep so it won't listen anymore for incoming requests from the watch.
I also had huge delays in email reception with the battery optimization feature turned on.
So my advice: Turn it completely off and see if it solves your issue.

Vibration automatically turns off on wifi connect

Hello,
Since last Sunday I have a strange problem with my g4 (v20d-eur). I didn't change anything, no update, no app installation, nothing. I realized my vibration is not working even though it's turned on in settings. So I thought it's just broken.
When I left home on Monday vibration worked again so I thought it was some strange temporary problem. Once I got home again vibration didn't work again. So I got the idea it has something to do with wifi. And that's it. Whenever I connect to a WiFi the vibration doesn't work anymore (but it's turned on and set to max vibration intensity). As soon as I disconnect the WiFi it's working again without any changes made in settings. I already checked if I set up a Tasker profile and accidentally added a vibration off task but that's not the case.
I don't know what to do anymore. Does anyone else have that very strange problem? TIA.
Btw. No unlock/root/custom Rom here. Everything is LG original.

Smartwatch connection issues since Nougat

Hi,
is anyone else having bluetooth connection problems with his smartwatch or similar devices that should be connected all the time?
I have a garmin vivosmart HR and since I have Nougat installed, the connection is dropping after some time and then I need to turn bluetooth off an on again on the phone, otherwise it won't reconnect. It's super annoying. Is this probably some kind of energy saving thing?
Hi,
everything is fine with my TagHeuer connected smartwatch.
I have a Gear Fit 2 and it works perfectly fine. try doing these two things and see if it works:
1) Turn off aggressive dose for the garmin app. (Battery>three dots on the top right>aggressive doze and hibernation)
2) Add it to auto launch (Apps>Gear icon on top right>apps auto launch)

Thank you, aggressive doze was disabled (the standby mode in the developer options also) but I changed the auto launch setting. Let's see if it makes a difference.
I have vivosmart-hr and since my android phone has updated to nougat, I only get the 1st text notification from each person, not any subsequently ones from the same person unless it's been hours between texts. Same with calls. I have been in contact with Garmin, they had me delete my watch from the connect app, and reinstall it. Didn't help. I have been through all the settings on phone and watch and the connect app. Very annoying.

Bluetooth not working

Since this last update that sony rolled out to the my phone my bluetooth will not work at all. I can turn bluetooth on but I get a message that pops up immediately that says Bluetooth share has stopped with an X and close app message. If I tap close app the message disappears and bluetooth turns off and turns back creating the same problem over and over. I cannot turn off bluetooth from the quick settings bar, I have to go into settings and turn it off. Anyone else with this issue or have a workaround or fix for it?
Bluetooth notifier won`t go away
I have a problem where I have a message that pops up and says, "Bluetooth Share keeps stopping."
It has, "Close App" with an X beside it. (only option)
I tap it and it reappears a second later.
I've painstakingly gotten into settings (constantly closing this notifier) and opened Bluetooth and it`s not on so I turned it on but no difference. (notice still popping up)
So I turned it back off (no difference).
I've restarted phone (still happens).
I've turned phone off for 5 minutes and turned back on (still does it).
I've just discovered I can turn it off by sliding down from the top while locked but after a second or 2 it starts blinking so I open it and find it's back on.
Last app I installed was Torque Pro but uninstalled it when this problem arose, thinking it was trying to connect to my OBD2 scanner.
I managed to get a screen shot after many attempts but can't send it as the notifier keeps interrupting.
Wow, no idea why but it's just now stopped doing it after hours of pain.
What the hell?

ever tried on pc companion repair?
No I haven't.
I wasn't aware this phone used it.
All my Sony's have always installed it or accessed it the moment I plugged it in but this phone never did or needed it to exchange files so I figured it didn't use it
