VR BOX - Elephone P8000

As Google cartboard not support on our p8000. Can any one confirm will we able to play game or watch videos on VR headset??

We don't have a gyroscope, so VR stuff won't work.

I've read about this too, but it does require a compass (magnetic sensor) in addtition to the accelerometer, which we don't have :/

no VR?

anyone tried g8 on VR? it wont work for me i bought google cardboard and nothing works like youtube vr or vr games except the 3d movies its great
Sent from my HUAWEI RIO-L01 using XDA-Developers mobile app
it doesn't have the necessary sensors such as gyroscope or magnetometer you can still watch side-by-side 3D movies and videos, but most VR apps won’t work

If you are root, there is a way to enable the gyroscope to make work the VR, you can check my thread.
:fingers-crossed:

Any ideas on Vr with out gear?

Hello!
It's been a while since I've posted anything on xda, but I had a question. I recently upgraded to the s8+. I was wondering if there has been and work towards using 3rd party vr headsets. I'm not concerned with sensor controls like moving head to rotate camera, but just using the vr for a screen to play games in full screen. Another example, if i were to play Minecraft pe, using the vr as a full screen, not necessarily with 3d or motion controls, just a tv on my face. I've looked for apps to split my screen, but all point to using their content not my own. Any ideas?

They're supposedly working on Daydream support, so hopefully soon you can use Google's VR headset.
Well,
There goes that... http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/07/25/verizon-galaxy-s8-s8-updated-new-navigation-bar-features-daydream-support-not-really/

Last night, all the DayDream apps showed up in the Google Play Store for my S8+, and it successfully downloaded and installed VR updates, but I kept getting the Incompatible Device error.
This morning I tried it again and it fired right up and works perfectly! It seems the available VR apps aren't as many as with the Pixel XL for some reason, but I'm sure that's just a matter of developers updating their apps.
This may now be the perfect phone.

Gyroscope?

So, does this thing have gyroscope or not? I've seen reviews dogging this phone because there's no gyroscope, but I tested some apps like star map and immersive photos that move with the phone, as well as proper facing direction in Maps, etc. And they all work, meaning there must be a gyroscope. Right? Some online specs sheets have it listed, while others show that it doesn't have one.
This is the H2433 model, if that makes a difference.
Download Aida 64 from the play store, and look in "sensor" option
In case this was by someone looking to buy, with no access to the phone...
No, it does not. It does have sensors that seem to have a similar effect, a so called "orientation sensor". However no gyroscope apps I know off can use it (ie: vr apps anyways)

Redmi Note 8 Gyro Stuttering

I've got a Redmi Note 8 (Global version) and its gyroscope is so buggy. Before this, I had a Redmi Note 7 and it had a perfect gyro performance and could run almost all AR games and apps.
But on Redmi Note 8, lots of AR games and apps are not running and those which run on the phone are buggy and stutter all the time when I move the phone. Also, VR Players stutter on any 360 and VR videos when I move the phone.
I've also calibrated gyro and accelerator from FQC Test but that did not help.
I could not install Google play services for AR from google play too, because it says the app is not compatible with my phone.
Does anyone have the same problem with the gyroscope on Redmi Note 8?

I had this problem before so here we go
Go to setting->about phone--> all specs--> press on kernel version seven times --> it will open another page -> search about gyroscope open it and place your phone on a table thin press calibration
And I hope it works for you .. and sorry if my English is bad

Thanks for your reply but as I said in my post I've calibrated gyro and accelerator from FQC Test on an even table, but that did not help.
Gyro stutters when moving the phone around.
Is it possible to be a hardware issue?
If anyone is using gyro on Redmi Note 8 without any problem, please say that what app or game you are using. I want to test on my phone.
Thank you in advance

which app or game u are facing problem, i will try that in my phone
These are all app/games which I've installed and no one works properly.
Lots of games/ apps need to have ARCore installed (Google play services for AR) but google play store says "Your Device is not compatible with this version" and I can't install it.
These are some of Games/Apps which use ARCore:
AR toys
AR PLAN 3D
PAINT DRAW AR
These Games/Apps do not need ARCore so they can run but the models are not stable at all, they are so shaky and vibrate all the time and if you move the phone, they lose their place.
On Redmi Note 7. models were stable and I could move around models and watch them from every angle!
UniteAR
ARLoopa
AR CAR SHOWCASW
DEVAR < This is terrible, it cant even find right place to spawn models
argument
roomel
Also On VR Video Player like "360 VR Pro" (360 VR by appxone) when I move the phone, Video moves with stutters like having lag. Do you know a good player without this problem? Can you install ARCore (Google play services for AR) on your Redmi Note 8? Do you have the same problem with the above-mentioned app/games on Redmi Note 8 or do you know a fine game or app that runs properly?

ARCore is still not supported by RN8, like RN7 it will probably take some time for it to be supported.

Has there been any update on this, having problems with Google Measur app and Pokemon GO AR+
Hi, I had this problem, after update Google Play services for AR, my problem solved

RetroArch

... just a heads-up that RetroArch is great in spanned, portrait mode. The screen and controller split beautifully across the hinge. If you're a retro gamer it's worth checking out.

Mostly the 16 bit era systems and earlier, but it will do Dreamcast, Neo Geo etc. It's front end for cores ( emulators ) and works really well. check out their website for all the info... ROMS are not provided but if you're into emulation you likely have a few ready to go.
I appreciate this thread was a while ago, but has anyone managed to get the PSP controls on a separate screen to the game itself, rather than the controls being overlayed the one screen? If so which settings do this, as I can't seem to find them in settings.
Also, can the same be worked for AetherSX2 or is this a permanent overlay on the game also?
Any assistance would be welcome. ATB
