Shipped Rom
so im guessing this is the official official? not the one that was already released?
I think it's the one that was already released, and in my opinion it's not the complete ROM, the USB tethering isn't active and there's no facebook app/widget.
I have a rom with test key before this. I tried renaming to update but I got an error when updating.
Oh also there is no facebook app or widget. it just download contact photo's and photo albums and you can update facebook or twitter status from your own contacts.

lol. one hd shaped brick coming up.... seriously, a senior member with over 2,500 posts tells you not to flash it to your HD cos you'll brick your phone and you go ahead and do it anyway? you are going to spend a lot of tim unbricking handsets with people laughing at you....

Seconded. still amazes me how many noobs go ahead and flash stuff without reading first....i still remember my first flash back on the magician....spent days reading up on it first so that i thought i could do it without bricking my precious new toy!

Download an already ported her rom, JAC hero for example. Flash the SPL (as long as you have the new radio) and then flash the rom...

Me, and my bro, @topuchi13 are going to build a new ROM...
We're starting it in about a week ( That's because my bro is busy and he has not got time for that now).
We need your help...
Here is who we need: Testers, A guy who can make a good review, 1 more guy who has got HTC Desire 300 and can help me developing a new ROM.

Sorry, I don't have the original. I've flashed the custom one a while ago.
I'm not sure I can test it, I'm on vacation right now and don't have my PC with me.

I CAN test if its not bricking my phone after flashing correctly
I can try to do a video review, a written one with screenshots and photos is possible at any time
I can't help developing since i don't have a proper pc to do so

What kind of ROM are you building ? Aosp or sense ? and what are the prerequisite the phone has to have in order to test ? (Since there's no s-off yet I guess some other things have to be done)
My girlfriend has got this phone and its slow as hell so maybe I can be a tester with her phone if its still usable afterwards but I think she'd agree anyway cause the device is making her crazy also I can only start testing after august 6th cause we're on holiday right now
I would be happy to help you guys with testing any ROM. Still Desire 300 can be only S-ON. I hope you are going to compile AOSP ROM. Also i got request - If you are really going to make AOSP ROM would you use Linaro 4.9 by @Christopher83 , @JustArchi optimizations, -O3 optimizations, Link Time Optimizations. Lets get this phone working again because with stock firmware is just awful.

I wouldn't say its awful, its just that sense isnt the quickest thing on a dualcore
. i would like to have the full sense as well bc only 2 home screens is just not enough ... Good thing is droidtwe4kz is working on s-off too

My sister bought brand new Desire 310 and used it exactly one week. After that she went back to my old Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001 (using CM 11.0 Release 10 by ADC-Team & K^Kernel 416 RAM by ADC-Team). This old device is single core phone with 512 ram and it is totally better in every way compared to Desire 310. She asked me to do something with her HTC but first i need to find any ROM. That's why i would like to help with tests.

Well this is not Desire 310 but desire 300. The Desire 310 has a MediaTek Quadcore SoC with 1.3Ghz and 1GB ram, running a slightly modified AOSP rom. I can tell you this device HAS to be faster than the S plus of your sister. It is, check it. There currently no ROM available for 310 because of the Mediatek SoC. It's rootable via Framaroot using the Boromir exploit. DO NOT FLASH ANY ROMS, THERE ARE NONE

Yeah that can be true ... CM boosts phones ... I'm sure CM on this phone would make it faster

Android Lollipop has really improved in all aspects. I would really like to see Lollipop on HTC One V. I run Jelly Bean right now - Primou_Omega v2.4.0-stable 1

2. Do you think it is worth the time and effort?
3. How epic would it be if could get create a stable version within 60 days?

Hello developers!
is there is a way to port htc stock nougat to m8?likewise samsung stock roms are poted to other device like note 7 rom port for note 5 etc...
I'm not a developer,just a normal user
Samsung ported roms you mentioned is just app porting not the OS
M8 need a kernel supporting nougat rom to fully porting the OS as the apps is the same
i really hope someday we have a working nougat rom based on sense 8:fingers-crossed:

I see it very complicated since Qualcomm dropped support for SD801 in Android Nougat... and there is no Vulkan support for this chipset too...

AFAIK That's not the issue
The vulkan API not required for the OS
Right now my device running android 7.1.1 ( RR N 5.8.0 )

False for Samsung is have been ported
On note 3 for example 5.0.1 is last official update but people have ported marshmallow successfully
I think that's possible on m8 too but it'll need a lot of work

Are you sure it's the full OS port ?
As i have seen some roms modifying the build.prop to say it's higher than the actual version
( for example the base is android 5.0.2 and in the setting it says 5.1.1 with the full ported apps from the higher version )
But i will be glad if we have a ported nougat rom based on sense

As I contributed a lot on both note 3 and galaxy s4 advance I'm sure 100% that's the full marshmallow os
I heard that unofficial nougat port are coming to note 3
