Bestbuy-Free Gear Fit 2 - Note 7 Questions & Answers

So I just wanted to help anyone like me who didn't get the Free Gear Fit 2 from Bestbuy. For some reason the stores are under the impression you can only get the Gear Fit 2 if you purchase the phone under contract or lease, since I bought my Note 7 out right they said I couldn't get the Fit. So I went to another Bestbuy to check out cases and just passing asked another mobile rep and they said the same thing,so I figured ok this sucks but what ever. When I got home I looked at the ad and read the fine print and it says for anyone that purchase or signs a contract/lease. So I called the 1800 Bestbuy number and talked to a rep and he instantly knew what was going on and called over to the store to tell them that my purchase did qualify. I had to go back to the store and the store had to call the bestbuy hotline number, the person on the phone just gave the employee a 'promo code' and it zeroed out the balance of the Gear Fit 2. I figured I would share this so if anyone didn't get the Fit could go get one.

Online deal: Large Gear Fit 2
In-store deal: Choice of small Gear Fit 2 or 256GB memory card.
It was confusing for me and I bet the employees were confused by it too, especially if ordering online but picking it up in the store.

I've ordered two online and picked up in store on two separate occasions and both included the Gear Fit 2.
Now asking them to switch the Gear Fit for a 256GB card is another story... They were adamant about not switching (even though they could have cancelled the order and repurchased).
Its unfortunate because I like instant gratification so I shop there but they are routinely overstocked with stupid.

That's what I was told also.

My problem was that since I paid full price with no contract they said I didn't qualify for the deal.

I went with the "financing plan" and got the Large Gear Fit 2 (which I promptly sold on Ebay) AND a $200 Bestbuy G/C.
Maybe it can very from region to region?

That's not correct... I spent a small fortune on these phones as both are no contract and I still got the Gear Fit 2s.
Call the customer service department and complain! They aren't giving you what you paid for.

Did you buy your T-Mobile Note II Online or T-Mobile Retail Store?

My online order was recently cancelled by T-Mobile for unknown reasons, possibly due to no stock. It is really frustrating especially after you wait for a week to find out the phone you ordered was on backorder and eventually cancelled. Is it better to wait and purchase online at T-Mobile's website once stocks are available again or should I purchase at the T-Mobile store? Are there any differences I should be looking out for?
Retail Store
I bought my Note 2 at the retail store. I had a similar experience with the first Note, ordered it and found out 3 days later the order was canceled because they were out of stock. In hind sight sort glad it turned out that way, loving my Note 2.

Got mine at the tmobile store. At the time it was same price in store and online. The guy activated my new sim and added the phone to my insurance. Paid full price. I was in and out of the store about 20 minutes....painless
try ordering over the phone.

I bought it from corporate store during promotion and I will get $200 rebate.
What's a corporate store? Is it the same as T-Mobile Retail Store?
Also the promotion you are getting, is that with contract, only?

It's corporate store, not dealer.
Do you remember the $0 promotion from 21-31 last month? This applied to Value Plan only and your contact will be reset.
I remember a promotion like that going on. However, I was inclined into a different plan. Guess, that was the reason why I waited and finally came to know T-Mobile's Online store was out-of-stock. I wouldn't mind paying the full price for the Note II. Would stores be having it ready in stock?

Did you call the number that they gave for questions? I did, and they said that it was not canceled even tho i received the same email, and they said it to be an error. I recently put my order number in and it came up cancelled, but low and behold a few hours later i received an email that my note II has shipped. I would check your CC and see if they charged it. And call in. :good: good luck

[Q] Best Buy Showing Note 4 Verizon version as $349 today.

I've been looking at the pre-order page on BB to see if the Verizon version was available to pre-order online. Last night the price showed as $299 on contract and not yet available. Today it shows $349 on contract and not yet available. Did they up the price or is this just an error?
Wont let me post a link to it...
crap that isnt good. i was hoping $699 for off contract. crap time to sell more stuff!
still $699 at verizon! yay
Hopefully that is not the price in store as well.
Its still cheaper than verizon considering that they will accept my htc rezound as a trade in phone while verizonwireless will not.
Just hope I get some one who knows how to transfer an upgrade from one phone number to another.
When I pre ordered in store it was 299 better be that when I go to pick it up or there getting a ear full

fyi from what they told me, pre-ordering the phone doesn't mean locking in the price. if the price changed you're responsible for the new price. that's what they told me in store anyway

According to the website, the ATT and Verizon Note 4 variants are listed as $299, the Sprint Note 4 variants are listed as $349. I think its safe to say that our Note 4s are still the same price.
I'll wait until it is cheaper off contract than $700. Can't afford **** that expensive

What worst is that no more pre order for Verizon note 4 from BestBuy. I went to BB today and their system can't do pre order for Verizon N4 and so is the website, however, you still can preorder note4 with AT&T...
Maybe it's an error in their system?
Up to this day you have not been able to preorder via best buys website.
I preordered my Verizon note 4 (white) last Friday and my wife preordered her Verizon note 4 (also white) yesterday (Monday) without any issues. The phone is $299, $100 after trading in ANY working smart phone that isn't damaged (cracked screen, turns on, no water damage). There is NO minimum trade in value required unlike the Samsung promotion ($10 minimum value). They make you buy a $50 gift card as a "place holder" for the phone, you have 48 hours to pick up the phone after it arrives otherwise they will sell it to someone else. All gift cards purchased (the $50 place holder) and the $200 one you receive for trading in a phone, can all be used toward the purchase of the phone immediately.
I have spoke to the store manager, customer service, the Verizon and Samsung reps at the store. The customer service rep did say you need to bring in the charger for it, the others did not say that. I'm going to bring mine in either way. I also took their names down in case they try to pull a fast one. I suggest anyone else does the same so there are no surprises when the phone arrives.
Good luck
I'll put chargers in my car, but I'm not bringing them in unless they make noise about it. My store just said charged working phones without water or cracked screen damage.

[Q] ATT and Samsung promotion, Best buy trade-in ?

I have a question. I am thinking to buy the Note 4 in the following manner
1) Pre-order the Note 4 on ATT website by selecting ATT Next 12 and adding a new line (this makes me eligible for a $100 credit )
2) Trade-in my old iPhone 4S at Bestbuy (value shown is around $40)
3) The difference amount i.e (200-40=160$) will be paid by Samsung ?
In this way I am having a savings of $300. Am I missing something here ? Please help
Thank You
Needs to be traded to the retailer where you're preordering
Does it state that in the fine print? Anyways AT&T is giving me 0 value for my 4S whereas bestbuy is offering me atleast 40$. So i am really confused what to do. I can't order from Bestbuy as Store pickup is required.

"Store pickup is required"??? Where are you getting your information from? When I have attempted to pre-order from Best Buy, I am told the pre-orders can only be SHIPPED to my home. There is no store pickup option. I know this because I actually prefer store pickup for my circumstances, but Best Buy will not give the option if you pre-order online. Now, if you go into a store and do it... that's another issue.

Yes. Looks like you have the proper steps as outlined here https://samsunggalaxypromotions.com/Note4/
As long as Best Buy is an official trade in site...although I believe Sprint offers a little more in trade-in value. Which if it is the same Iphone 4S at AT&T listed here https://secure.sprintbuyback.com/cns/device_list...it is worth $202. Or it looks like it is worth $100 to AT&T...then you would only be waiting on $100 check from Samsung.
Best buy has a "deal" going on now.trade in any "working" smart phone get $200 on preorder note 4.
I'm on att.didn't ask if att deal only.
Preorder for $50 (get gift card to use toward perchase).minus $200 for used phone = $250 off $299 att note 4.waiting for phone to come in.
Will see if legit or just blowing smoke.ordered phone 10/19.

This is legit, traded in a prepay cheap Windows phone I had laying around and got the $200 gift card plus an extra $50 bucks for signing up in the early part of the year promising to upgrade through best buy. Put the whole gift card towards my pre-order of the nexus 9 ?
Preordered my att note 4 from best buy 10/18.picked it up 10/25 at store.put $50 down.they gave me gift card to use toward purchase.at time of p/u,I gave them a used galaxy S2(i777).they gave me $200 toward purchase of note 4.that gave me $250 toward the $299 note 4.after taxes it was $73+ I paid them.waiting to see if there is any fees beside activation thru att.this was a standard 2 year upgrade.
no trouble with my trade-in phone.
no questions asked.it turned on.they checked numbers to make sure it wasn't stolen.and that was it.I bought that phone with broke screen and bad charge port.fixed both.used couple a couple of weeks.
overall good experience.
now to see how well the note 4 does.

I was told I'd get a $200 account credit by the tech at the AT&T store for my Note 4. I have no need for any store credit, I have everything I want already, I had my case and screen protector preordered, and already have the S2 watch. They told me I had to take the $300 credit and I made a fuss - ended up with the $200 account credit and $100 store credit. I spent it on a little bluetooth speaker, the Wonderboom.
I got 300.00 for my note 4. Applied it to bill credits.

I went into the store. They applied the credit right then, got a new VR, some LG wireless headphones and $430 in bill credits.
I did mine in the store too. I would have preferred it as a credit against my bill, but they wouldn't do that. They applied part of it to tax on the phone, and then got a Gear S3 Frontier for $49, Beats X earbuds, and the leather wireless charger... both of which were also discounted from their normal crazy prices. Net was about $25 more I had to kick in. My trade in was a mint condition Galaxy S5. I am so glad I got the Gear S3, because I was coming from iPhone w/AW, and I love the Gear S3.

Pre-order includes Samsung Buds+?

There have been some discussions during the last week of Jan regarding a bundle of S20 + buds+ for free if you Pre-order.

Does anyone have any details on that?

It does and it doesn't! Pre-order on Samsung.com and you get a $200 samsung shop credit, which you can use for the buds+.
I'm on the tmobile Jump program so I was planning to upgrade through them.
Last year I did the same for my S10+. They ran similar promotion and I got my Buds..
Just hoping that tmobile will do the same though no info from there on that.

hi everyone,
pre-ordered my S20 Ultra Silver Grey on Amazon and l got the confirnation that after i will receive them, i will also get the Buds+ from Samsung. super!
Pre-ordered a S20 Ultra 5G yesterday on Italian Samsung website and, yes, there is the free buds+ promotion. Yeah!!!!
For the S10 you bought the phone then submitted a receipt to Samsung. They give you a credit for the price of the buds, but you could spend it on other things if you wanted.

I think there was a form I had to fill up with Samsung... But whatever that is, I hope I will eventually get the Buds+ for free if I get my phone through Tmobile.
I get the buds plus for free as well , just as well with the 1500 spent on the 512gb version , only a pain not getting mine until march 12 ( holland) and not on the 6th like everyone else.went for the grey version as i have not yet had a grey phone before. The option for the free buds was in the ordering options on samsungs website.
pre ordered from UK Vodafone not sure how you submit proof of purchase for the buds+ offer when you buy through their call centre?
anyone have experience in this with previous deals with UK Vodafone?
So in the US, we get a $200 credit, no free buds. I was hoping for the free bauds, and the credit. Oh well.
Doesn't the freebie depend on if you buy from the carrier or from samsung? I know it has differed in the past. Hoping for the credit though so I can get the buds and a case

In the us, only the $200 credit is available.
It comes with a $200 credit, and have the option to spend or use it during the pre order. I used it to buy the Galaxy Watch 2, added $49 only.
It depends on the region. US and Korea get a credit and for example Europe gets the Buds+.
T-Mobile just reminded me you get the credit when you sign in and register with your new phone on Shop Samsung. It'll be the $200 credit.
Just preordered the Ultra. Used $200 credit for the free AKG Noise Canceling cans instead (I already have way too many true wireless earbuds, but didn't have any NC anything, so that made up my mind).
You have to go on the Samsung shop app once you get your phone if you ordered outside of Samsung.com or Samsung shop and enter your imei and upload your receipt from your carrier. Then you will get $200 in like 2-6 weeks. I actually got $235 because I registered when they first sent emails out about pre-orders.
I got an email this morning saying pre orders were ready. When I clicked the link within the email, I followed through with the order and was able to get the $235 instant credit since the email was tied to my reservation. Was able to order myself the new Galaxy Buds+, the 45 watt fast wall charger, and black silicon case. Not a bad deal at all especially with me getting $600 off for my S10+. Said delivery by March 4th, less then 2 weeks away ???
