nunorfa got an electrical shock instead and died

I hope you are kidding.

I am using this smartband since 2 weeks. I am not able to say if distances, steps or calories are accurate. Battery lasts 6 days more or less.
I would like to ask a question to others that uses the app iWOWNfit (iphone) : there is a goal setting section in the app, where you can insert the sport activities you'll probably perform during the week, this activities never complete themselves, even if I start the activity manually by the band Training section. If someone uses it please give me some hint.
Bye.

Hi,
didn't find that too. Also didn't find an option to turn off heart rate monitor to save power.
Maybe in one of the next firmware versions...

Hi everyone,

Anyone tried that ?

It is no official way for that. But I had no reports about need to change it.

order one and can't wait to try it out.

i can read the arabic message

Recently got the band, overall it's good, measures everything correctly. Unfortunately the app is horrible, drains the battery and is nearly useless. Even though the band itself records the sleep, steps and heart rate 24/7, the app has no way to show the previous day's recordings on the sleep and heart rate. Calories target on the app seems useless, if the band goes out of range - it doesn't reconnect to the app.

try the english mod of the latest Chinese app (zeroner health 4.0)...It's a lot better...
http://www.mediafire.com/?qcejvc1pw4cq3gp

Yes, translated Zeroner 4 and IwOwnfit 4 much better, but chinese software sucks at all I'm waiting for full support of this band by this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.wilix.device.geekbracelet
For now it lacks some functionality but works much better: only controller sending data to GoogleFit, not duplicating GF features.

I cannot make it work...It scans for the device (i6 pro) but cannot find it....

Maybe Iwown for Geek is not implemented for I6 pro?

Tv-Tuner App

Hi,
I just bought a Korean SGSII and I got an antenna like this :

Suppose to be for TV (TV Tuner), anyone knows where I can find the App to exploit that ?
I can't seem to find anything.
Here's a video showing what it does on a Galaxy Tab.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHrzdd4eDNM
Thank you for the help
Probably gonna be tough. Most of us don't have korean sgs2
I understand that, just trying to figure out if there's a Korean Rom that would have the APK and someone saved it or something.
Also the app seems available on Brazil devices too.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=919219
Found this, i'll see if I can make it work on a SGSII rom.
isnt that galaxy s in that picture?
no Ariel or TV tuner chip I am aware of in this phone, hows that gonna work exactly?
I think that this is NOT Samsung Galaxy (S/S2) at all
yeah agree doesn't look like any variant of the SII I've seen, maybe a misleading buy
Here is the link from the korean Samsung website
LINK
Some where in the middle is the tv thing but it's just the info sry couldn't find an app. Maybe you can try in a korean android forum?

Guys all he/she is saying is their antenna is like whats in the picture they did not say they had that handset in photo.
i'm a bit gutted, i'd quite like to watch TV on my phone
NVM, guess i'll carry on using TV Catchup...
Broadcast type problems
according to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATSC_standards
In Korea they are switching over to ATSC as used in the USA
Don't know how that would work with DVB/T in Europe
Don't know how that would work with ISDB-T in Brazil
Different tuner chips would be needed...

I don't know if it is available in the UK but in Switzerland you can have Internet TV.
You pay 9 chf per month and you can watch as much TV as you want over the mobile internet.
You don't even have to pay for the traffic because it's integrated.
So maybe you have this to in the UK?

Aye we have similar things but the difference is that the TV thing from Swisscom comes directly from a provider.
That's the reason why we don't pay for the traffic even when you have a limit.
You have just to pay once.
I don't know how much it costs in the UK but in Switzerland are the flat rates too expensive so it's quite useful. Anyway it's OT .
could someone please answer this question as they sell the same thing in fiji but i do not know the korean app....very very hopefull

The Korean variant of SGSII has a tv chip but no FM radio chip. The problem is that the tv works only in Korea. I my self had a Korean version but traded it for international one because it was impossible to make the tv to work in my country.

I do.. Now testing it. The vidonn.apk which I downloaded, does not install on my android phone (with android 4.2).. so.... pretty stupid.
Windows app seems to work with some hickups..
---------- Post added at 04:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:57 PM ----------
After creating an account on a windows machine it works.. sort off. It has potential... but software is crap at this point. When you want to look at data of your walk or whatever, you will be send to the website in Chinese... you get some basic stuff like calories burned and walked and the such.
But I wanted it to easily sync by android smartphone app... but with a non working app it can't. ... so it is still a work in progress.

The question remains why it is not "backward" compatible. It easy to dismiss a phone this way that it would not be compatible for a chinese brand..

That's Android for you Because of protocol details, a lot of the smartwatch and smartdevices require 4.3 (where android introduced a better notification support and other changes) and also low power 4.0 BLE. And that requirement gets hardcoded without a backward compatibility support
Anyone have any input on how well this works even on android 4.4.2
Anyone knows something about this .

same here.
also my phone does not recognize it (LG G3 Android 4.4) through the official app...
Well bringing this thread back to life. I did buy this from DX. App works on my Zenphone. but no calorie trackers will link to it.
multi day charge step count seems accurate.

Any running apps that work with the heart rate sensor?

I can't find a single running app that will take heart rate while running with android wear. Am I missing something here? Anyone recommend any apps? On my Apple watch, I can run and have a constant heart rate displayed. Looking for something similar for android.
Thanks.

I just got an update to RunGPS which says that the update has a setting for continuous hr monitoring for android wear. When I go into settings sure enough there is new check box. I haven't been able to try it yet. Will let you know if it works.
---------- Post added at 03:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:51 PM ----------
Well, RunGPS didn't improve things. Not that I really thought it would, it's a problem with the watch. It did read continuously, for 5 minutes, then if froze and just stayed there.
yeah, I actually called Huawei and asked them about this, and they said that if I was linking to an android phone instead of an iphone it would be able to do continuous. Apparently not. I joined this site hoping to find instructions for hacking it to be able to get continuous HR monitoring. I like having one device for all this, and since I pedal to work, use Strava and My Fitness Pal to track my fitness, I would like to have an HR monitor I don't have to fuss with. I can barely even get it to read my HR at all, since it never seems to have a good read, even pressed tight against my wrist.

I tried Heartrate OS but it stopped working and I tossed it for Cinch. (It's called Cinch Weight Loss and Fitness.) You can get Cinch to give you every five minutes but not continuous. To be honest, the battery on the Huatch can't handle continuous anyway. Drains it too fast.

Sorry to burst your bubble....but HRM on Huawei watch is a gag....

Guys, should I join you??

Ok, so....I am quite fine with my g watch w100. it works well, has everything I need, battery keeps up for 2 days, screen is perfect.....but.........
but is so ugly and this look bored me....I love circular watch faces and they look just bad on this....
what I want is a very nice looking device and the best design goes to moto 360...
I am just about to buy it, but it always feel like a downgrade! from a very good s400 dual core to a single core omap.....
many report bad battery life and bad performance (though I don't care too much about it, but as I said, feels like a downgrade)
so today. with lastest android wear version, which improved the system for sure.....with very light usage.....
do you suggest me to buy this? or should I save more money and buy second generation because this isn't worth?
also, how is the screen? sharp? battery, performance....tell me anything you feel
thank you very much!!
No problem with performance, but I hbvent used any before mot360

Bro, maybe you should think about Huawei watch? It's round, too, and in my opinion it's pretty (but smaller than Moto).
It has better resolution (400x400px) than Moto.
But no automatic led light

Question Hands on the physical watch vs in the watch app

Yes. The physical watch set it at Beijing time zone, but there is no way to set it on the Watch app on the phone.
I don't believe that view within the Watch app is supposed to be the correct time and date. It is just a representation of the watch face/setup you are using.
Mine always says 10:09 on 24th May.
It also says I have done 1,123 steps and sunset is at 18:32
You will notice that most watches (particularly ones with traditional hands) show the time as 10:10 with second hand near 37 seconds as a time, as it's a visually attractive symmetry. Go check out pictures of watches on watch stores.

Thanks, then I don't know why Jan had different experience. The symmetry argument doesn't seem to apply when I have the "utility" and "everyday" watch face on.
It shows 10:09 (and 37 seconds) on all the available watch faces for me. Including Utility and everyday.

I found an exception. This luxurious watch by Van Cleef & Arpels doesn't use 10:10 or 10:09, but still it's the V shape instead of the downer. I guess the case can be closed now.
