Thanks to some users we can now confirm this patch works...!
I found this on 4pda.ru in the Redmi 3S section:
The problem with the microphone in RR solved. You need to download and install via fix_RR_new.zip TWRP the https: //drive.google.c...ELVTEzNHpXbVpIbnM/view
then extract 5 System / lib / hw files, copy them and paste, change the resolution to 644, reboot the phone.

So I'm not in the opportunity to test this out myself as someone has borrowed my 3S for the time being. It's a flashable zip, however it seems like it needs to be extracted and copied to the system folder and then google translate says something about resolution change... However I guess that permission needs to be changed: read/write, read, read. And this has nothing to do with resultions/DPI hehe
I also read that this only works on CM13, not RR, that can be found in this thread (the one by Flour_MO):

Audio recording works with this patch...but when we record video,video saved but it is a still image,I mean it is not moving

Hmm, you are right, the image stands still, but after a reboot the image is moving again. So it stops working after a while!

Why not fix RR rom?? For video recording fix.

Ok, I checked the file permissions, all files have 644, except /system/bin/sensorservice, that had 755, I changed it with:
mount -o rw,remount,rw /system
chmod 644 /system/bin/sensorservice
Afterwards I could record several videos with motion.
EDIT: Ok, video stopped working, thats not the solution.

Hello everybody , there are some problems in B634 but i fixed them.
This will fix that problems.
- FMRadio
- Audio Output
- Hide Virtual Keys button
- Fixing lag at opening animation
- Others
Firstly you have been rooted and you will need Root Explorer [Pro] and try it at your own risk.
Open Root Explorer [ Pro] then open cust folder and delete everything in this folder.After that copy everything in Cust folder which you downloaded.
Note : If you are living other regions then just edit folder name in cust folder which named "neeurope" to your region.
Here regions list : in , mdasia , mdeast , namerica , nlamerica , northafrica , ru , samericas , seasia , spacific and weurope.

- Somebody ask about radio and others so i did it.
- B634 has audio limit because there is a law about audio output for people's health in Turkey .
- Hide virtual keys does not appear with editing build.prop in B634.There are two way fixing hide virtual keys first is mine and other way is editing with SQLite Editor application.
ok..so no problem in usual sense..just law limitations like in germany/europe in general..

Some regions have this problems for example when you use headset , system limits audio output about %60 in Turkey and it is really bad because you cannot hear any sounds if you have simple headset.
I am using high-end headset which i made it myself therefore it does not matter for me but you know , there are a lot of people using simple headset so they will need this solution

Same here, huawei bootlogo is gone, only Android, no hide virtual keys button, just get FM radio, but my phone is in Orange Poland, so I think this is a problem.

Dear ikroll, in fact I have the B513 that I find good in everything. The only problem, in my opinion, is the audio for phone calls (in music instead everything is ok, I use Viper4Android FX). But, in my opinion, the phone calls (capsule and speaker) have a volume that can be increased. Could you tell me what are the parameters to be changed? And in what files (system setting.db?)? Thank you!

Hello everybody , i fixed opening animation and i have to say that i am sorry that was my fault because i have added wrong cust file for europe and i changed it now.Although you can do everything if you still have same problem , i added a solution for that too.
Could someone try if they can use speaker in call? I tried today but my friend said he can hear only static.
We tried a few times.
I'm trying to pin out what caused this before reflashing whole rom.

you can set sound volume from SQLITE EDITOR too as well as hide navigation key.
I also update to B634 but only the first part.
The folder structure in the /cust/ folder is very different to your cust.rar.
On my P6 I have:
/cust/hw/
/cust/lost+found/
/cust/vodafone/
In /cust/vodafone/ there are folders for different languages (au, cy, cz, de...).
Is it save to paste your cust onto my P6?

Nougat supports. Lollipop writing is not important.
This mod enables the earspeaker to act as the second speaker in combination with the main bottom firing speaker.
This mod is tested on the B379 firmware on the VTR-L09. The difference is not night and day in my opinion but try it yourself.
It's not completely tweaked yet but it works.
Module is made for magisk 17 and higher.

That's weird, I don't face those issues. Try to check its permissions if it's rw r r(644) in /odm/etc/audio/hi6403/mixer_volumes_VICTORIA_ce.xml
You can use the terminal to chmod 644 /odm/etc/audio/hi6403/mixer_volumes_VICTORIA_ce.xml
Or use root browser. If those things don't work try to replace the file with a copy of /odm/etc/audio/hi6403/mixer_volumes_VICTORIA_normal.xml. Can't make a flashable zip right now, still odd behavior.

First you need to be rooted. after that simply install "solid explorer" from playstore, and browse to source path, copy this source file, browse to destination and paste that.
i am not sure if this is still complex. no need to use adb.

I've got the Chinese AL00 too. When I enable call recorder in dialer, nothing really happened. There is no record in sounds/call recorder folder and neither in any other folder. I checked the system folder and I have app/HwCallRecorder in with correct permissions.
So, my question is: are you sure that your calls are actually recorded and if yes, where are records saved? Thanks.

On home screen pull down tab type files.hit files.hit internal storage.hit sounds.hit call record and there they are
You need turn in on under dialer settings
I have the ALOO and after every call I get a banner at the top notifying me of the recording. Recordings are accessed from the recorder app

Weird, looks like I have to rebuild the magisk template.
Magisk template rebuilt. If you still can't install it. Please replace files accordingly to the folders. Make sure to take a backup before replacing them. After replacing them reboot your phone for the mod to take effect.
Flashed successfully through magisk. It doesn't work so far. (YouTube, Music)
Mod updated. It's probably not working due to wrong file path.

its not working again.

im try closing the main speaker..putting my head on the earpeace and i can hear something about youtube videos i dont know dude.maybe u can increase the earpeace volume? or what ..
actually when i close the main speaker with my finger,im hearing mostly speaker vibrations on the earpeace.

Hmm, ive already increased the earpiece volume to 90. I'm afraid if I increase it more I'll blow your earpiece.

Ok, but I'm going to take a few weeks off.
sound came out together when tested aplication stereo test.. I am on aosp aex

It probably has something to do with MIUI. As one user was on AEX, and said it was working? Thank you all. Thread abandoned.
