Hello everybody,
I have managed to root my phone but I can`t seem to overclock my cpu. I have read that I need a custom Kernel.
Can anyone explain how to install a custom kernel and if there is a kernel version for this phone?

Don't link to other phone dev pages. The kernal WILL NOT WORK with the Wildfire S.
Is there a kernel version for this phone? Are there any tutorials how to do this?

Third: Im not a dev, i simply read much threads here in xda..
So, i love old style froyo + sense 2.0 roms.. stable, and bugfree.. but not too fast.. today i decited to try another kernel..but when i flash hieros i lose the possibility to use wifi.. so i remebered some wpasupplicant fix file in kefir.net kernel thread..and! woha! i was able to run this rom

with the new hieros kernel and with the wifi working! so i wanna share the metod for you guys!
Ps: credits go all devs like kefir.net hieros, marc, dorimanx ecc. Thanks the devs and donate them for the hard work that they putting in the hd2.

and download wpa_supplicant fix
(direct link : nexus-hd2.googlecode.com/files/wpa_supplicant_adhoc_fix_v0.6.10ah_update.zip
copy kernel and fix to your sd, wipe cache and dalvick cache, install kernel, then install wpasupplicant fix, fix permission, reboot and enjoy the speed
* tested with marc kernel, but as hes say 2.6.35 its a branch only for gingerbread :| rom start, wifi work, but cam is buggy and is gray tint :|
edit 1:* cant test dorimanx and warrens kernel, because in the rom that i use cant find init.gz :|
edit2:maybe you can try to flash marc 1.5 kernel, because with this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1197751 and kernel 2.0 the camera dont work, and its gb evo rom.. and maybe this glith fix can help, dont know if http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18680651&postcount=56

Hi, I tested your trick in Mikhei777 rom 2.2.1 sense 2.0 and it doesn't works. New kernel boots, everythink works more or less fine, but no wifi.............
I tested with marc1706, dorimanx, and kefir.net.
I don't remember exactly, but with one kernel phone boots, other kernel doesn't boot, became looping boot.
Conclusion, I restore backup rom, and keep original kernel. (I suppose that mikhei777 had been similar problems yet, so he decide to keep rapfigna kernel in these rom)

Ok, for me excelent, but the author (mikhei777) is not been able to give a solution to change kernel.

ps: you cant use kefir.net kernel, because its only for aosp roms..
edit: oh.. this is strange..with barrdroid, htc incredible froyo port, all its ok, and all is working.. but with mikhei777 rom, wifi says error.. maybe mikhei777 can start to see the barrdroid rom and compare with his rom?

Barrdroid seems to have the same bug of dunphp Desire Z rom, low volume.

Maybe this one?
It's just a stock ROM with some apps removed, AFAIK there is no other ROM that doesn't require custom kernel. (ROMs need to be installed with custom recovery and you need a custom kernel for that)
Any Rom is ideal and the kernel should have CWM recovery and not TWRP (TWRP is the touch version and CWM the no touch one). Next time try the Q and As and if you don't want to do that at least do some research.

i own N7100 international , i flashed this great ROM and for now it really great and i'm in love .... except few thing which i need your help :
how can i enable the Hebrew on this ROM i'm sure there is way to do it ????.
BTW is this ROM comes over clocked from the beginning ? is overclocked by default ?
Last thing how can i use Spen on this ROM which App should i use ?

so any dev or anyone how is using i9082 can tell me the kernel suitable for "RR 5.8.5" and with swap support (android version = 7.1.2)
