Over the past few weeks, we’ve been hearing murmurs about Google dropping its Nexus brand name for its flagship Android devices in favor of the Pixel label, which it uses for its Chromebooks.

Full screen phone dialer contact photo

After recent Oreo update, phone dialer contact photo shows only on top and its small, a size of penny before that it was like 3/4 of the dialer screen. Is there any way to fix it?

I don't see how that affects the capability of making phone calls, so why fuss?

It's looks like this for some time in Google Dialer, so Moto only adapted this for their app. I prefer as close to vanilla android experience as possible, so I use google dialer for a long time and prefer it's design over old one.

Your analogy is all wrong.
There is a name, though. And it is perfectly visible.
Besides, it's not like you didn't have the will to call that person by yourself and forget his/her name all of a sudden. 99% of the time, you won't even look at the dialer when you make a call.

wokmed, no, just saying that Google Dialer (newest versions) all have small photos, while much older versions has full screen. There is even modified version somewhere here on XDA, where you can have really "full" screen photo.

Hello sorry if this been asked before but i been searching for any root to my galaxy note 8. Verizon version. look like there is plenty for the Oreo Android 8 but since i update to the Android 9. Pie version i can't see any root available. if anyone know any can pls help me with link or advice

It's on the Galaxy Store.. Open it and in the search box put, "Good" and you'll see Good Lock popup right at the top of the list..

It does have links to more downloads but once the individual downloads are done, they are then accessed through the Good Lock app. So far I really like some of the customizations that can be done with it.

Which is the one I download within Good Lock to adjust the clock position?

Nice! Can you share how you got the navigation buttons? I used good lock, but didnt find those icons. It says you can add your own icons as images, but I cant find those images to use.

Hey!! I used the Samsung theme DePixelizeD (Black theme), there is also Pixelize (White) and Pixelized (Dark).
I also used the "Lawnchair 2" launcher (Telegram only no play store) as well as "Pixel Icons" pack by Pixelflow.

Ok sweet! Does that allow using the navigation buttons separately, or you have to use the theme as a whole? (Sorry, this is my first samsung phone since the galaxy nexus, so I havent dealt with themes yet.)

It only allows using the theme as a whole, unfortunately it does not allow for Nav only. No worries! This is my first Samsung since the S6 Edge lol. I just came from 2 Pixel generations so I know what you mean).
Also I updated my previous comment with more info on Launcher, icons, etc.

Question Where to find the option “Select best network automatically” in settings?

Would like to turn this off but it is missing from “wifi assistant”.

My mistake, I was not aware there was a similar setting for wifi. I am on xiaomi.eu 12.5.19 (A11) ui isn't much different than stock. Anyway, I don't see that setting either, in my wifi assistant settings :/ my best guess, is that it's Rom related though

I’m on Stock MIUI Global 13.0.8. I’m pretty sure the option was available before, not sure in which version it was removed thou.

Not sure, but this feature is still on most aosp roms. I'm currently using evolution x. I don't think I'll ever go back to miui tbh
