No audio in google music for only "one" song. - Moto Z Play Questions & Answers

Hi! Loving my new phone with everyday that passes by. But, I'm having a really weird issue.
I have a music track (Hotel California) in flac (16bit) format on my phone. Although it does play on google music, there is no sound output in either the speaker or the headphone jack. But when I use my bluetooth headphones, it plays flawlessly. Interestingly this is happening to only that one particular track.
I have 90% of my music on the phone in flac and even the 5.1 channel flac files play perfectly. Apart from this one song! (this happens with only google music)
But when I use Neutron Music player, the song plays. But again not with google music. AAAHHH! It's frustrating!!!
P.S. It is happening with some other tracks too. Perhaps hardware decoding?

.m4a files won't play over BT stereo headset?

I'm running a LVSW rom tweaked by Austinsync.
When I play mp3's using Win Media Player, they play fine thru my Moto HT820's. However, whenever a m4a file starts playing, the musics reverts back to playing on the phone's speaker.
I'm pretty sure that m4a files played fine thru the HT820's when I was using the pure LVSW rom from 6/16 though.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
I've tried Sleuth255's ROM and the same thing happens - mp3 songs play thru the stereo BT headset fine but if I try to play m4a songs, the audio switches to the phones' speaker.
No one else has encountered this problem? Or am I the only one that has m4a music files?
I play m4a music files through bluetooth and they play fine, unfortunately, I use a wizard. What do you use to play? I use TCPMP, Windows Media plays my m4a(aac plus encoded) as mono, while TCPMP plays it as stereo..

Playing music or movie with speakerphone?

Is there a way to listen to music or watch movie with speakerphone? Thanks
If you mean the speaker which is above the touchscreen, the answer is yes. By defaults this is the speaker which plays every sound when the headphone's jack isn't put into the Blue Angel. I recommend you to use TCPMP for listening to music and especially watching films. It's free, it's lite and made just for your pocket(PC)

[Q] Squealing during music playback

Got my S4 yesterday, and I'm having a major problem with playback while in my car.
In between songs or even in quiet parts of songs, there is an audible squealing noise during playback. This happens on the Google Music app, and the built-in music player (songs stored on SD card). This only happens in the car, not with the included Samsung earbuds. It also happens if I have it plugged in to charge, or not.
I've done some research on this forum, and come to the conclusion that perhaps attaching a ferrite core to the 3.5mm wire would help?
Thanks for any help!

CM11 140226 play flac music with earphone

tried apollo and vlc to play flac music, the vocal sound is much lower than music.
Is it a DSP related issue?
It seems that earphone mic finally works. cool.

How does music playback work on the Smartwatch 3? What software does it use to play back music, and does it support FLAC files? Also, how many hours of playback can you get?

It's very convenient to use Play Music on the SW3 when paired with your smartphone. Walkman works well (with my Xperia Z3) although I can't begin to play music from it (as yet I know how to) with Walkman because it thinks I'm trying to access music from the watch itself, which is unfortunately not the case, Play Music has the option to "Play from phone" or ("Play from Watch" -> which would require headphones paired to the watch itself.) As for Flac files, I have no idea, but my phone recognizes and plays Flac, and Walkman can change the song from the watch.
Thanks for the info. I've been thinking about getting one so I can forego my smartphone while jogging or cycling. I guess the lack of FLAC isn't a deal breaker, particularly when you consider the watch only has around 4GB of storage.
it does play flac files, even hi-res ones
