Get a more known/popular/used device and you won't have that problem. You can't expect serious developers and professionals to have mid-low end devices, they don't own them so they can't develop for them. With unsupported devices like yours it leaves you with 3 choices.
1) learn to modify or develop your own ROMs
2) donate a device with the same model number as yours to a developer willng to develop for it, they have to have the actual device to do the work.
3) Retire your device and get a newer more supported model.

I'm willing to help, i'm not a coder, but at least good enough to do testing and some minor coding, willing to learn
I've been playing around with cm7 for the past couple days. I haven't made any progress. Glad to see someone else (who knows what they're doing) working on this.

You might want to get in contact with the gents working on the CyanogenMod port to the Galaxy S, considering the similarities between that and the Galaxy Tab.

Its doesn't really matter, once you get a device and vendor set up with the correct hardware profile and proprietary files (pulled from the tab) you just need a working kernel and you're good to go.

i am working on this atm too, but i didnt want to open a thread because of everyone just shouting around "i can help u testing" and no productive answers!
i will be slower, because my tab has jmc with signed pbl and zimage so i cant flash zimages and need to borrow a friend ones from time to time! maybe we can help each other to get fully working GB soon!

I don't understand why the a device that has both 3G and wifi capabilities with such great chipset is neglected to a point where there isn't even a proper KitKat rom.

Good question... XDA has been removing the thread posted for 900h developments for some reason...
A fren opened it twice and both times it was removed.
GUYS ! we must stop this BULL**** ! this device is really cool and beast we have a great device too but no updates no development process WE GOT NOTHING! its not our fault that some of us love exyons and others are obligated to by it due to their country providers...

Install AbhiDroid rom s6 port for s5 900h. believed guys its really amazing rom.
The thing is there's only about like 4 roms out there for the samsung galaxy s5 g900h. And only 2 custom kernels I believe which is liquid smooth and kians kernel. That's it. Yes the s6 port ae nice I have that currently on my device however samsung is fast moving into releasing new devices I work for at&t and we already know ahead which devices are coming out and about more or less when they're going to be released. The s7 is already made and they're going to be releasing it in the early 2016 according to our boss and big at&t boss from state. They're not wasting time they're also releasing another note and another edge phone so I want to see atleast another 5 roms for this device before it gets abandoned. I mean I see tons of roms for every variant its like everyone is sca red to mess with g900h variant. I would like to see a way to get this device working on 4G or 4g lte instead of h+. If any developer wants to share how to create a rom and has a guide I am more than willing to use my device to create and make and test custom roms for everyone. I also would like to see other ports aside from the s6. Like the note 5 for example.

If I end up picking up this device I am going to begin creating a device tree,twrp and start working on a lineage os build. I am creating this thread to gauge peoples interest and which models people would be interested in having lineage os builds supported on. Probably looking at supporting the s7 + as that is the model I'm probably getting
If anyone has experience developing roms on Samsung devices help would be much appreciated as I am going to have to learn everything from scratch as I know next to nothing about android development so I will probably need some help from the community.
I know the device isn't even out yet I'm just really excited that Samsung finally made the perfect android tablet but lets be honest samsungs software is garbage and lineage is better

I would definitely get the Tab S7+ if there was LineageOS for it. I really hate One UI.

Well you see I am primarily getting the Tab S7+ because of Samsung DeX and resizable windows so I won't be of much help. BUT I will try to do whatever I can once the Tab stops getting updates, which I suspect will be sooner than later.

Same I hate oneui I love the iPad pro lineage os if I can get it working makes this the perfect device. Buying it regardless I want lineage os so much I'm building it myself.

Thakhs Fair enough for Dex you kind of need stock there are launchers that replicate a desktop though. The tab Pro 12.2 from 2014 only got one update and has a version of lineage os 17.1 hopefully Samsung does a better job but who knows this is Samsung after all ?.

Yes I really want lineage too ? which is why I'm creating it probably won't be supporting the 5g model though as I have seen in the past that there can be issues with 5g enabled tablets getting everything working .
am interested, will you incorporate the Android 11 desktop mode (yep, alpha stage)?

Well this is the first 5g tablet so it never been done before. But 4gb works fine so you can start with 4g and try and figure out how to get 5g working once lineage os is up and running and with 4g access so those with mobile data version can use it.
Any custom ROM (and that applies to Note 20) and we losing the S-pen functionality. Is that correct?

Yes it's weird all Samsung tablets are unlocked while Snapdragon phones are locked . I'm mainly working in lineage because I want lineage in sthe s7+. when I have it I'll get started so people wanted lineage might have to wait a while or wait for another dev.

It's been already over 9 months A71 is on the market and there is no official TWRP support (neither OrangeFox).. No official custom ROMS like Resurrection Remix, Evolution X and neither LineageOS.. Pls don't count unofficial crap where you have missing basic functionality or decent camera.
I have left Samsung flag-ship world back in 2015 not willing to pay money for the development path they choose.. Anyway, I found shelter with Xiaomi since then and never experienced any deficit for custom made stuff. Now I bought A71 and am stunned with the fact there isn't any motivation to support it.. I have wrote to multiple telegram threads without any answers so asking here.. Is there some blocker from made by Samsung to start supporting Galaxy phones? Or just devs got tired of their sh***t.. Don't get me wrong, I liked Samsung a lot.. and now tried to come back when I got my hands on A71 - hardware wise excellent device but unfortunately will return due to lack of community around. Blame Samsung for keep releasing broken kernel source, dev. Can't start if sammy keeps releasing sh*ty broken kernel source, until now 2.0 and 2.1 updates having broken kernel source. There is no other companies in the world that do such stupid thing except Sammy sh*t. Thanks! also we can rewrite the kernel to fix sammy mistakes but it needs a talented and dedicated dev.
Samsung has lost its reputation for being developer friendly long ago. At best you're only going to find some GSI that work on this phone. At worst, you won't find anything at all.
