Is it the same https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.shenye.android.inputmethod.latin ?

This require a lib file,the one at play store is standalone apk,so answer is no.
But they work the same.

will this work even for unrooted?

no it doesn't work only if you're rooted. I tried it on my Z5 Compact and it doesn't change the icons!

Does anyone know if there are any other themes very similar to the pre installed ones at all?
