Do you mean your phone also fail the test?
I submitted the issue to Asus support and they kept asking me to take both phones to service center for check up. I think this is a waste of time, as it does not seem to be a hardware issue. And I might end up losing the phone for a few days and no solution given. I have seen 3 units showing the same behavior already. If it is a hardware issue, Asus has a serious QC problem.

I got a fail on that test also.
Sent from my ASUS_Z016D using XDA-Developers mobile app

The test passed when the phone was new out of the box, with the original firmware. But it failed after the first update.

[Q] Unable to detect country

When I start either WatchON or Samsung Hub, I get a message that says "unable to detect country" or "This device is not supported in your country" and then the app closes.
I should probably mention I live in the United States.
Strangely enough, if I log into the public wifi I can access from my residence, it is fine. Maybe it's just an issue with my regular wifi, but I wouldn't be able to test it with another private connection unless I took my tablet to a friend's house.
Is anyone else having this issue and found a solution for it?

This only happens if you are using a rom not specified for your region , but as long as you you live in the States & your Note has been released for US , this should not show up.

Considering I bought my Note at Best Buy and no one's found a way to root it yet, that can't be the stem of my problem.
Same issue here
The same thing happens to me. I'm also in the US and bought my tablet from Best Buy. It attempts to load Samsung Hub, but then stops and gives me a message that 'this service is not supported in this country'. I attempted to contact Samsung, with as low of expectations add I could muster, and they said I should go to settings, general, app manager, all apps, then force stop it, clear data and restart the Note. Didn't work for me, but luckily I didn't expect it to.
I'm in the UK, and bought my 10.1 from the US. Could this be why I can't watch HD Play Movies? Is it worth flashing the UK firmware via Odin?

I'm having the exact same issue with WatchON and Samsung Hub (Video Only - the Music, Apps, and Books work on Samsung Hub). I get the "unable to detect country" or "this device is not supported in your country" and the app closes.
I also live in the US. I just went down to the Best Buy to talk to the Samsung rep on site and she said she had never heard of it. I was glad I had screen shots to show her (didn't do much good). We powered it up and everything worked great. I got home and AGAIN it gives me the "unable to detect country". I went down to the Apartment public wifi and it works fine again.
I thought it must have something to do with settings on my Linksys wireless router. So I checked and the time setting is correct for Central Time zone. No issues there. Then I tried the Samsung Hub Video and WatchON on my Samsung S4 (with mobile data turned off, Wifi only) and they both work perfect on my home wifi. So its something with the Note 10.1 2014 tablet I guess.
Strange how it works on the public wifi at BestBuy and the Apartment but not on my home network. But yet, my Samsung S4 works fine on any network.
Still looking for a solution.

That is weird, has Samsung been able to help any more? You know, I had the same exact issue on a Note 8.0 I had, but after a FW update it finally started working okay.

No luck with support, who clearly are not up to date on the products they sell (though with the sheer amount they do, I can't blame them). After she told me try to change a setting that does not exist on the device, she recommended a factory reset. Having read some other posts about this same issue, I'm not going to waste my time with that. All I'm hoping is for a big update from Samsung or a custom ROM that can help me out.

Smart Lock not working at home

I have tried everything. I'm on the latest update, I have tried high accuracy and battery saving modes, I have my home address as a trusted place and it's definitely turned on. Google maps has pin pointed my location perfectly. Yet smart lock is like nope...I don't believe you.

If you have an exchange server for email for work/school setup on the phone, they will enforce policies such as requiring pin / fingerprint unlock

Your replacement will have the same problem. This is not a hardware issue. Also I suggest that you save 4-5 locations for your home. Every time you click on "Add trusted place", it will probably locate you with slightly different coordinates and that might help.

Thanks for the response, but if it isnt device specific (software or otherwise) why are there so few reports about it? Also, the trusted place/device issue isnt about staying unlocked when its supposed to. The problem is that the device doesnt LOCK when you leave a trusted place or move away from a trusted device. Never had these issues with the 6p
Got no problems with smart lock at home, work and the house of my mother in law.
Also no problems with my Huawei Watch and the Bluetooth stereo in the car.

I'm pretty sure it's a software issue. I had the problem with my nexus 6, nexus 6p, and now the pixel xl. Regarding the number of reports, I'm guessing smart lock is not widely adopted yet. Oh by the way, mine locks fine in not trusted areas. It just doesn't unlock when I'm in a trusted zone.
I've got a similar problem. The phone never unlocks when I'm at a trusted location. It unlocks when I'm connected to a trusted Bluetooth though. I've set the location using both my address and by using the Google Maps screen. Nothing works.

Xtron PX5 TE706PL lock screen and wifi issue

Hi, new on here, looking for help for the following (searching found no solution):
Xtron TE706PL
PX5
Android Oreo 8.0
(let me know if you need more info)
1) A lock screen for the Xtron stock firmware (tried Nova launcher to no avail)
2) WiFi is intermittent (bluetooth is ok), it will work until the car is switched off and then when i switch it back on it stops randomly and won't find any wifi signals (tons in the area). I thought it may be some sort of 'sleep' setting, but it's set to always on under wifi settings. Usually a full reboot of the system activates it again, so possibly a software issue?
I've not seen the WiFi issue you speak of, but it's probably a configuration issue. Have you tried with your phone hotspot rather than random wifi hotspots dotted around?
No idea about a lock screen. Mine doesn't even offer that functionality. Quite frankly, I don't see why anyone would want one lol

There's tons of wifi's in the area, my mobile hotspot, my house + 7 other wifi signals. When it's working it picks all of them up, this is without moving. When it's working i can be on the move with my hotspot and it's ok, as soon as i turn the car off and go to start it again the wifi stops working. Xtron are sending a new aerial, but i do believe it's a software issue.
The lock screen would be ideal to secure the unit if it's stolen or whilst the car is being valeted. Even if an external finger print scanner can be programmed, it would be preferable. There must be something out there, would consider a custom firmware if need be.

It's definitely a software issue. No amount of aerials are going to fix that issue. I would update to the latest MCU and update.zip. Do you know how?
Wow, do you like live in the Bronx lol? You're aware if someone wants to steal the unit, they could easily factory reset it then your lock screen will do nothing. Not a clue on the external fingerprint scanner. No idea where you take your car to get it valeted either, but most of the time, you sit in the foyer watching while they do it. That is why they have a big glass window at garages/valet places etc.

I believe the MCU is the latest version for GS installed MTCE_GS_V2.78_3
However, the android 8.0 version is 15th Jan 2018, which is old.
Reading on the forum, there's a post with android updates on the stock Rom up until March, however no new firmwares posted on there after then. But i know that there is June versions out there, do you know where they will be posted?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...5-mtcd-e-head-unit-discussion-thread-t3734189
Also regarding the lock screen, User Malaysk shows in his custom Rom that lock screen is activated, so it is possible. However, I'd prefer to try a stock Rom first to see if it fixes the WiFi issue, if it doesn't then i can return the unit to the seller. https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...-malaysk-roms-px5-2-4-gb-8-0-android-t3762724
Wifi issue is fixed by upgrading/changing MCU. Check out this post, https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76666402&postcount=547
Try if you have latest version of MCU before trying with some other MCU.
As per this post, https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76824916&postcount=772
Latest version MCU version for GS is, 2.84

'Call not sent' error on Android 10 beta

Anyone having this problem where call doesn't connect with error of 'Call not sent'? This is doesn't happen when connected to Wi-Fi but happens most of the time otherwise and I have to re-try 2 times (sometimes 10 times) to get the call connected. I have tried clearing data for phone app but it didn't help. I am not seeing any reports on it in any beta discussion so I am guessing its not a beta problem? It never happened before the beta update and I installed the beta update from total reset instead of just updating.
Yes. Only happens when I am on Bluetooth connected to my car. I gave to call from the phone app instead of my driver control.
"Call not sent" error on Samsung Note10
I'm having a similar issue with my Note10, just shows "Call not sent.", whether connected or not to Android Auto or any other dock/bluetooth, it doesn't seem to fix the problem.
I have tried several active sim cards from different carriers which work fine in other phones, but in the Note10 I can only access the web and text. When trying to make a call with full signal bars and LTE next to it, it just shows "Call not sent". I've done all the usual restart, full factory reset from the recovery menu, even reflashed it via Odin with the latest firmware (N970U1_UES2BTA1) three times, then factory reset again, but it's doing the same. It seems to be a hardware problem, not a software glitch.
By the way, my phone is unlocked and I have checked the IMEI to make sure it's not blacklisted. I have also examined the charging port for any liquid damage, but it's completely clean and shiny. When I dial the test code *#0011# to compare the network status screen against a Samsung S9's, I've noticed that the "MIPI TEST SUCCESS" and "ASDiv: PASS THROUGH" at the bottom of the screen are MISSING on the Note10, which might have something to do with the failed calls.
Also, out of curiosity I have installed a couple of different phone dialers (Google Phone and Simpler Dialer), but the outcome is the same "Call not sent.".
Evidently there's a hardware problem with the Note10 series (some or all), because Samsung's own forum full of similar complaints.:=(
Same problem. Getting call not sent
Was not issue in Android 9. Only Android 10.
Galaxy note 10+ unlocked version on tmobile.
I've also had other random Bluetooth issues.
this issue got so bad, i am not able to make calls, unless i make multiple attempts.
so i just upgraded to the S20 Ultra. Same issue!!
Here are other factors and connected devices.
Connected to a Ford vehicle (Sync; 2017 Explorer)
Connected to Samsung Active2 smartwatch (but issues remained even when watch disconnected).
I've also tried to unpair / re-pair. To no avail...

I have an Exynos Note 10+ I don't seem to have this problem and when I did the test you did I got "MIPI TEST SUCCESS" but nothing about ASDiv.
Could this be a problem with the Snapdragon chipset?

It certainly could be, on all other phones I always see the "MIPI TEST SUCCESS" in test mode, but not on the N970U.
It might be fixed with a new update, unfortunately there's still nothing newer available than UES2BTA1 as of right now.
I have the feeling it's a hardware issue rather than software, in which case it's not going to be fixable, short of replacing the main board.
No idea, why this started happening mostly after the last update.

Are you able to rollback?
As long as the bootloader is the same you might be able to go back to an update prior to the problem.
Not 100% sure but I believe the 5th number from the right in the build number is the bootloader version. Just need to make sure it is the same and you might be able to fix...

Right, but usually same bootloader version updates are just maintenance or critical security updates only.
Looks like some major changes have happened in the latest update, which could be causing the no call issue.
Just checked, and it's still the same version available.

You may have had a different issue.
Chiming in late to the game with a Samsung Galaxy S20. I never had this issue with the new OS on my S10 but it started happening with the S20. It's also intermittent. Sometimes it works. I have tried unpairing and repairing. I have tried deleting the bluetooth device and reconnecting it. All to no avail. At least other folks recognize this issue and hopefully Samsung issue an update soon.

As nice as this phone is--I am annoyed with myself that I upgraded to Android 10--everything worked so great with 9!!! I wish there was a way to go backwards. I might investigate that, actually. I have a little downtime as of late.

For me, Android 10, whether UI 2.0 or 2.1
battery.... standby, is exceptional good .!
I am a power user, eg theming etc
so i don't worry or have time to worry,
about SOT ETC....
For me what matters is when , my device is sleeping.....!
/ if anything
is draining my device battery etc.
( Ihave about 200./300 apps.)
Suggestion... factory reset or did you already done that.?
See examples of device overnight

THIS WAS THE FIX FOR ME! I'll have to research why Android 10 isn't playing nicely with Google Voice, but I'm glad I can hit call and it goes though, instead of hitting "send" over and over and over again!!!
S10+ Exynos, running Android 10 stock - same problem. Annoying as hell!
I can't uninstall GV because I use it for international calls.
Edit: BTW - it definitely seems to be affected by connected BT headset. As soon as I turn the BT headset off I am able to make the call (using MPOW headset, don't remember the exact model).

I have had this issue so many times on my S20+ unlocked. Swipe and touch to call just doesn't work. I saw this thread today when I had multiple call not sent instances. I force stopped Google voice and the problem disappeared. If I have to make an international call, I just to start Google Voice.

Are you (were you at the time) connected to a BT headseat? It happens to me only when my headset is connected, and not just one - two different types of headseats and also happened once or twice when the phone was BT connected to my car. As soon as I disconnect the BT, all calls can be completed without a problem.

Question Someone has problems with the app for the Handle?

I am trying to use the ExternalDevice application to connect the Pro Handle, but the application closes all the time, even in Game Space. Has anyone else had the same problem? Have you found a solution?
There is, you have to download the latest version from the Chinese nubia store. Then uninstall and reinstall. I haven't had a single connection issue since (had tons before) I will try to either post a link to the store later, I can directly upload the APK, if that is allowed here. Hope this helps, I was getting so frustrated with mine, almost gave up on it. Now I'm trying to get a second one for a Complete set up lol
