Both Booroondook and Malaysk ROMs will work on your unit.

MTCC is a slightly evolved MTCB. To my knowledge there are no MTCC Android 4.4 ROMs.
It is always a good idea to read the wiki before posting.

Ok, already understood! I will check mtcb roms! Regards for your help!

Is that a GA6201F in an E39?
I have just bought one and for an expensive bit of kit it is slow. I would like to root it and do the tweaks to get tomtom go working as that was the main reason I bought it.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Hui_Fei_Type i;ve checked the wiki.
My Q is, if i root it? it wipes the device but still runs the same software etc? I am new to this so please be patient!

I have the same unit and the same issue. it just needs to speed up a little. How did you root it, btw. I tried the *#hct#root# and then ran KingRoot. but that did not result in root. What root method did you use if I may ask?

Have you tried kingoroot not king root?

No I haven't only because I read in another thread that kingoroot doesn't work. Although it wouldn't hurt to try it.

I did it just a few hours ago and it worked like a treat. Root if you have a stock ROM. If you install a ROM from MAS then no need to root.

I came across this thread....... https://forum.xda-developers.com/an.../rom-malaysk-roms-lollipop-5-1-1-mtcb-t339420
Do you know if this will require root access? It is a Malaysk ROM.

Malaysk ROM is pre rooted so no need to worry about rooting the device after flashing it. for some reason, the link directs me to a music over bluetooth thread which doesn't tally with the topic. Is it just that you want a rom to speed up the performance? Can you post the software info of the device etc so I know exactly what unit, MCU and ROM it is please,

On my GA6201F I downgraded to Kitkat 4.4.4 from Malaysk and the speed improve a lot!

I'm running Malaysk ROM 5.1.1 ROM and it's is very fast too. Can't complain. Just can't get Tomtom go working at all on it. Tried all the tricks to change serial number but just don't work. Gutted and going mad trying to figure it out

You cant root MTCB/C headunits with an app anymore, you need a custom ROM or be able to inject root into the standard ROM, its been that way since September.

Ok so I took your advice and flashed the Malaysk 4.4 Kitkat ROM. I followed the instructions and everything went fine until I installed the Xposed Framework. It gave the warning that it may cause a bootloop. Since none of the threads I read experienced the bootloop problem, I proceeded with the install. It attempted to reboot and got stuck in a bootloop. Well. I attempted to reflash the Malaysk again with no success. Now I am unable to flash anything do to the following error message.
E:failed to mount /cache /dev/block/rknand_cache (Block device required).
Other errors happened as well I have attached the photos.
Please Help.

Sorry to see that dude. After the first flash, did you clear and wipe factory data?

[Q] SM-T210L CWM? TWRP? Working one...

I have a Korean version of Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T210L and lots of korean language bothers me very much....
May I flash it with firmwares for SM-T210 but avoiding bricking it?
Or maybe there are working CWM or TWRP for this device at least?
I have the same Korean SM-T210L version and tried the firmware available for SM-T210. It didn't work, it hangs upon booting, showing the Samsung brand. I'm still looking for a solution.

I second that. We could really use a working 4.2 build!
#3 and #4: Since my SM-T210L is no longer working (after installing the SM-T210 firmware), I guess it would be of little use if I upload a system dump from my device. Please advice, I am lacking of experience.

hmmm. another dirty trick by samsung. They fail to provide stock firmware to lots of devices. If the other guy responds I could help get the tab up and running. If it's partitions as I imagine stock would just be system and boot . My Galaxy Exhibit t599 was the same way without factory images

Doesn't KIES provide an "emergency" restore? If not all the more reason for you to try and get a system dump . Maybe you know someone who has a working tab? (Korean tab models aren't very common here in Berlin... )

No, unfortunately KIES is not capable of updating the firmware. It seems the SM-T210L model is not supported, too bad. Thank you anyway for the suggestion!

New Tab update
Hi all,
My kid was given a korean SM-T210L version Galaxy Tab 3, the android version installed on the tab is 4.1.2; unfortunately it does not allow me to upgrade any further. is there a root version that will allow me to update the operating software.
I have never rooted a phone or a tab before therefore will really appreciate any assistance.
Thanks,
Zach

To restore original version 4.1.2, I used below link.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zwvavvfWEMvzSMMc970N_uIsgrdn1bag
I tried twice with Odin 3.09, my tab was restore. For first fail, I don't know why to fail. But in second try I was working.
I wish that it will be helpful for you.
Also I am looking for upgrade version 4.2.
Solved - Rooted SM-T210L
(sorry to new to the forum to post actual links - reply if you need them)
I was able to root my SM-T210L using the same method that everyone else is posting, Odin (version 3.12.3 in my case) and using this compressed file T210.TWRP.2.8.0.0.tar.md5 You also have to copy SuperSU to your tablet (either on a SD Card or through a USB cable onto the device memory directly) search for SuperSU
Here are the instructions (most complete in my view) that seemed to be able to work for me. Go to droidviews site and search on the model to find the instructions.
Even though the image file does not have the model SM-T210L specifically, I did not have any problems with it and was able to root it successfully. I then was able to delete all of the bloatware that came with the tablet, especially all of the Korean based applications that I can't use.
Is there anyone who still have the SM-T210L firmware? Please give links for download.

From the oppo forums, it seems like it's perfectly okay to flash it from TWRP, but the Rom will overwrite the recovery with the stock one

What about theX9007 platform?
This is great news about a new, stable release, but everything says it is for the X9006 only. Myself and others have the X9007. I use my X9007 in Europe and the USA... and have no intention of using LTE in China. If I flash this, will I essentially have the X9006?
I am currently running the last X9006 beta that was OK to flash on the X9007. All my cell networks are working fine, including LTE. If I do this, will I need to perform a special modem flash for baseband... or only if I want a "Chinese" phone? Everything I have always heard is that both phones are exactly the same hardware.

[Q] Sorry, noob question! Can I root 5.0?

Morning Folk! I've just got the G3 SIM Free in the UK and allowed it to do all the updates it wanted (lots). It's now sitting at android 5.0. I'd like to remove mcafe from it but I've read I need root to do that - but from what I can see the tools on the forum don't seem to support 5.0, is this correct?
Cheers!

There is some way to recover the IMEI in that Custom ROM
There is some way to work like this or it is impossible????'
Why is the IMEI broken?

You need to flash android Nougat bootloader and modem. Those two versions need to be the same as the android version. There is a guide in the guides section that can help you. Also, you can't install earlier version of bootloader and modem if those are the newest versions right now. If that is the case, you can install an 8.1 custom ROM and it should be fine.
