Do we have to flash the soak test zip before flashing this?

Thanks @vache

 this and Orion were the 2 most stable, smoothest ROMs on my G4 Plus on MM. This just made my day. Thanks

I installed this morning, but can't get root access. Maybe do something wrong. Need your help

Installed the ROM. Everything is working fine except Root access. Can live without root.

It showed enabled there but no apps seem to have access to it. That's what it looked like atleast.

Update regarding root access.
Titanium backup is detecting root access. But adaway and nova launcher are not able to get it. Didn't checked with other apps.
Battery styles are also not working.
Torch is not working from notification bar. But chop chop is working fine.

There is no option for selecting 2G for both SIMs.

I think it has the binaries not the app. Maybe installing the app and updating binaries will help.

Is the music app working for you? Because I was unable to play songs with the inbuilt player. Where as VLC is working fine.

And no, the music app wasn't working well for me. I user Black player/Poweramp instead.

I made a backup before installing superSU and I restore it.
At this point root is not a priority for me as the ROM is working great with Nova launcher with pixel features.

Cheers!

I always flash Magisk then the Magisk module for PHH Superuser and then install the PHH Superuser app from play store and everything works fine.

I just installed this room, so far it seems very smooth, if there is any problem I notice. The supersu was not working right after installing the room, but it works after installing supersu with TWRP. I would like to change the width of the navigation bar, unfortunately it seems to be not possible.
Thanks for sharing.

If you installed supersu remove it
extract boot.img into ROM zip
download this https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
go to recovery flash boot.img into boot partition
flash magisk
reboot to system
go to play store, download and install Magisk Manager and phh superuser
in settings change selinux to permissive
go to magisk manager, in settings enable busybox and systemless hosts (to use ad block programs)
restart to recovery and flash dolby or arise and enjoy ;]
Im using this method for all roms and all works fine and this preserve OTA updates working
If the ROM dont have selinux option to change, install selinux mode changer app
root failed!

New update
Sorry for the long waiting, I had planned to release this before but I've been busy.
This new build contains a lot of updates:
A lot of ROM changes (both XenonHD and LineageOS) and November 5th security patches
Device trees have been synced with @Alberto97's ones (check the repositories for a detailed changes list)
There's no more assert check "hack": this means that, in order to flash this, you must use latest TWRP version
It still an experimental builds, so flash it at your own risk.
Download link: https://mirrors.c0urier.net/android...ental/lux/XenonHD-171209-Experimental-lux.zip.
Please let us know what's are working

What about volte
Thanks for the effort, but I do not see the point in launching ROM when the basics are still not working, neither Footej works on this rom, although beta other roms work the camera very well, I think they should work on it before releasing another version yet that beta, including others already working in version 8.1, that is, they jumped to 8.0 going to 8.1.

No roms besides stock stupport volte.
As first impression rom looks really good with a lot of customization options, only bugs I see are checking settings for call waiting and call forwarding(where phone disconnects from carrier) but I believe those are from source code since I have seen that on almost all roms with 8.1. Other then that really great job and thank you for your hard work.
ask, if I do not have the latest installed nougat firmware, do not boot the rom, no? but if bootea is because I have the latest firmware?

Oh ok, that if I have it before installing roms custom, ask if you have to install this fix: mic gain fix aosp or not? Does the parallel application work fine? because when I duplicate the app as clash royale does not load the part to put google account, and last question is working the part to play from the sd card with the folder mount app or not? or another method that works to play from the SD

Haven't posted any new build. Will update after source gets updated with April Security Patch and mic fixed.
In my opinion, the best ROM 8.1 so far. CosmicOS is also excellent.
The only detail that keeps me from using it all the time is the fact that Android Auto does not work on Roms 8.1. But I think it's not ROM's problem but Android's own Auto.
If anyone can use it, please tell me.

Unfortunately no, at least not from me. It sounds like you have the wrong firmware. This isn't an issue with the ROM.
Please don't quote the OP in any replies. If you can edit your post to remove the quote, I'd appreciate it.

Did you reboot after flashing the ROM and before flashing gapps? You have to flash both before your first boot.
Question. Does this ROM make our kiwi treble compatible? Or because of hardware restraints, no.

You have to flash gapps before first boot or you'll always get those crashes.

Old Huawei phones like ours are actually capable of supporting treble, but we havent started using it yet.

Thanks, but with devs like you, we won't need it anyway. I can live without that, as long as you guys make great ROMs.
The ROM works fine but it doenst find my wifi (but it shows other ones that are near). I tried many mods but none find my wifi. Mobile data and everything else works fine.

Go to your router setting and check which wifi channel it is using. If it's 12 or 13 change it under 10 and see if it fix the problem.

You need the June firmware/vendor, don't know what happens if you don't. I just know its enough of a difference that TWRP works with march blobs but not with June blobs.
Absolutely awesome thank you OP
Does this have the camera found in stock ROM, with all of the features (eg night sight)?
Thanks

Looks like stock, just less bloatware. Google apps like gmail and chrome also aren't included. Not a big deal just pointing it out.
So I tried to root this thin using the @PBandJ method. But instead of grabbing the stock boot.img and patching that through Magisk, I grabbed this ROM's boot.img and did the same thing. I was able to flash the .img and reboot with no problem...but Magisk still shows that it isn't installed and I am not rooted. Not sure what's wrong here?

Those root threads are for stock.
Since this is a custom ROM the boot image is probably already modified to accept Magisk modifications or it is already rooted. So, did you try just a direct install from the Magisk manager app?
Choosing < Direct Install (recommend) > without any fastboot flashing or or any other actions?

I downloaded the Magisk manager and the only option to install Magisk is the .zip...but I'm not sure how to install a zip without TWRP. I would usually use an app but since I'm not rooted I can't.

Right. I know what I'm doing and I've been around Android since like 2010, but this just isn't working. I haven't gotten the nerve to actually fastboot flash the zip file for Magisk yet.

I know the feeling! Frustrating and fun to troubleshoot at the same time. Haha
On more question. Did you have the have the Edge Sense module installed prior to flashing the ROM?
