My N7100 died!! Need Help - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Yesterday I connected my phone to the charger before sleeping like usual but the other day when i tried to use it the screen would not wake up. The led was blinking red , i disconnected the charger and held the power button to see if anything would happen but the led just went off . My Note 2 is dead till then . Tried moving the battery , entering recovery or download modes but nothing happens, no led , no vibration and no sign of life. Has someone faced this issue, can someone help me? With some research i found out about the insane chip problem with some note devices, is my device dead because of that? Is there any fix?

Hello my freind same thing hapoened to my note 2 two years ago .my phone is dead too but its back to life with jtag ( boot) It was not me who repaired it.Do not worry Bring it to a repairman good luck

[Q] Phone bricked, warranty refused due to custom ROM - please help

Hi folks,
My Z1 Compact has died a few days ago, and I was running Resurrection Remix (CM mod) ROM.
I was playing some music and I put it back on the charger dock with the screen facing backwards, and there was a little chirp coming through the speakers after which the phone was dead.
I figure I must have bricked it by turning it around, I had no idea it could damage the phone.
When connected to the charger it just gave a blinking red light. No sign of life otherwise. Cannot be turned on regardless of key combinations, and does not respond to hard reset button next to the sim card slot.
It's still under warranty so I sent it back for a repair, but the repair center refused it because it has a custom ROM.
Is there any way I can flash the stock ROM when the phone is like this? They're obviously able to reach some part of it because they see the software versions. (they sent me a screenshot)
I had a similar brick two days ago.
Z1c was playing music and suddenly became death. No response to anything, even charging led. I press power + volume up and force reset was done, with blinking led and three vibrations.
But didn't boot.
PC didn't recognize it. Nothing.
Yesterday I connect to wall charger while pressing volume up and it displayed charging status (from 75%) and the It booted.
Now my battery has this status.
Edit: can't upload screenshot. By the way battery staysed at 50% for hours then dropped.

Well I think I bricked mine when I put it the wrong way on the charger dock. I was afraid it would have burnt the circuit board, but since the repair centre can see the phone details over USB I guess it must be ok, so my next guess is that the battery is dead.
They're sending it back to me today and I have nothing to lose by trying different things.
The phone doesn't vibrate though, when connected to the charger the light blinks red. It doesn't react to any button being pressed.

You probably have the battery drop problem that is discussed on the help section...
If you mean this thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...ttery-reporting-phone-dying-suddenly-t3095120
Then it's definitely not the same issue.
I cannot switch my phone on, I cannot reset it, and I cannot charge it.
To be honest I'm more interested in getting the custom ROM off it so that I can send it back for repair, if it had stock ROM they would have replaced whatever died.

Note II cant tutn on. Bad power ic?

Hello, please i need help. My note 2 cant turn on after rebooting. When i conect it to charge, LED charging indicator not working. Phone is completely dead. Problem is in power ic chip? Can be data restored when i replace ic chip on motherboard? On aliexpress i see for note 2 small power ic and big power ic. What is different between small and big ic? On motherboard can i found two chips - smll and big power ic?
Phone is old, but i need data on internal storage.
Many thanks for response.
Try removing the battery and charger, hold the power button for 30 seconds, then replace the battery and try charging the phone again. . Same thing just happened to me today
Thanks for your answer, i tried many tricks and i tried yout trick but its not working after 30 seconds without batery and charging, phone doesnt working phone is still dead
I would like to know too, mine gone ice cold just like that. I do remember my battery was fully charged, then the next day can't power on, no signs of charging when plugged. Did everything I can still no signs of life....
I think it is SDS (Sudden Death Syndrome)
and it is related to EMMC ( bad internal storage ) , so maybe in your case it is not IC power problem
so before you buy any thing , you should ask service person to check your phone

as far I know
when the phone (note2 ) stuck at this point (black screen)
it can be checked via power supply ( service center ) in order to test how much AMP needed to power the phone, so they can decide if it is [[ battery issue or IC power or EMMC.....or other thing
so you cannot go far and buy parts for your phone before you ( or asK) an expert
Regards

Ok thank you
by the way before you judge you can try this
in some cases ( black screen ) can be restored via JIG to access to download mode
then you can try to flash the correct firmware to your device via ODIN

Blinking LED, doesn't charge, can't get into fastboot

Hello!
First of all - yes, I am completely aware that there are MANY similar threads, I've spent almost 3 hours now finding solution, no luck. I hope some good soul out there will be able to shed some light on my case So here it is:
Today, I was caught in a bad moment with low battery, and the phone discharged completely and turned off. I've connected it to the charger just about 5 mins later max, but the blinking LED of death got me there I have it on a charger for about 4-5 hours now (original HTC charger, of course tried both, the wall and the usb), the LED is still blinking, phone is cold (it's getting quite hot when it's charging normally), no reaction whatsoever, can't even enter any fastboot or recovery or anything. I've tried every possible combinations I have found, vol+ & power, vol- & power, both volumes & power, long, short, nothing helps. Now what's different than any other threads out there? The phone was NEVER rooted, I didn't unlock bootloader, flash, nothing. It was as stock as it could be since I had motherboard replaced (2 years ago, on warranty in HTC service). Now the warranty has ended, so I'm really hesitating to send it there, as it's propably gonna end up with new motherboard again, no matter what the problem really is (I live in Poland, and that's just a common "fix" no matter what the problem is). Current motherboard is the one with CID B25 (the one that never got any update, so it's stuck on Kitkat for 2 years now). Everything was working completely fine just a few hours ago, nothing indicated any battery problems, it just discharged, and now I can't get it to work.
Does anyone have any helpful ideas?
Thanks in advance

Forgot to add it's a single sim version, model OPFJ400 D820n
Hello Scar9,
I had the same problem. To fix it, I had to charge my phone for 30 minutes. After that, I remove the back cover (to access to the battery). I connected the phone to my PC and I disconnected the battery. I wait any seconds (maybe 10 seconds) and I reconnected my battery (still the phone connected). The screen display a law charge of my battery (around 5 percents) but I can start my phone. After that I fully charged it and all seems OK !
I hope that can help you.
Regards.

Have you got any solution for this problem.
I too have same problem..
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to revive an HTC Desire 820 (dual-SIM model) that I have. There were several hardware issues with the phone - main one being the battery _completely_ blown and bulged out! So, I replaced the battery, along with the complete battery charging board, and the complete LCD display (which was also gone!)
Now, the issue I'm facing is, even after replacing 3 of the major parts with new ones, the handset is just not coming back to life! The red/orange LED on the front just keeps blinking (indicating that the mainboard is still working) but the phone simply does not respond to any combination of buttons, or even when I connect it to my laptop!
My core question is: Do I really need to have the _original_ HTC charger and USB charging cable (both of which I don't have) to get this thing up again?
If I can get some help and some clues as to what exactly is wrong here, I'll be really, really, REALLY thankful to you...!!!
Thanks a ton in advance!

Poco M3 does not turn on anymore ( Solution / Fix )

Problem with this phone the new update xiaomi original rom / kernel discharge battery to 0.00 V ( i measured it with multimeter ) and you cant charge phone and thats why you cant turn on this phone anymore .
But i found the fix
Steps :
1 . Just dissasembly the phone
2 . Remove the battery from motherboard
3 . From backside of motherboard remove metal plates from the chips the CPU heat that side for 2-3 minutes with hair dryer when you dont have heating gun ( I was inspired using hair dryer in times of iPhone 4S wifi / signal problem )
4 . Put every parts back with battery plugged on motherboard
5 . Put the charger to your Poco M3 and turn it on
6 . You are done let phone charge to 100 % and remove that crappy Xiaomi ROM named MIUI and install any rom what you like .
I know its stupid fix but its working . I dont know its permamently damaged IC charge chip / CPU chip because of kernel / rom new update but its works for me fine for now .
Update : you need change PMI632 902-00 chip and it will fix you this problem
so after doing this you can reboot or have it shutdown lets say using a custom rom?
Hi. I encountered this problem with my phone but I don’t have the skills and the equipment to disassemble my phone so I tried other solutions.
I wait for days until the battery is completely discharged. When I plug it to charge, the screen turns on again and it begins charging again, initially showing an empty battery icon. Before unplugging, I check the battery percentage. If it’s at 10%, I wait for the screen to turn off again and then unplug the charger. The screen turns on again and I press the power button and my phone is alive again. These specific steps are important as well as timing. I had failed a few times so I had to wait for the battery to discharge again to retry. Hope this helps someone else.
But I have another question and I hope it’s ok to ask here. Is this a hardware problem? I was thinking it was a software problem so I was planning to root my phone hoping to not encounter this problem of my phone suddenly not turning on.
