[RECOVERY][PORT][MTK CHIPSET]TWRP 3.0.2 for the LG K8 K350 MTK - LG K8 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Developme

First of i need to thank @Singular777 for his k10 TWRP (i hope he doesn't mind me stealing it... great work man! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69381986&postcount=126) because i used that to port to k8.
So us k8 users now have a great TWRP 3.0.2 (almost) everything works. Well... all that we need for a proper root.
Download it from here:

Does it? Are you serious, man??? FYI there were like 400 clicks and i "earned" less then a dollar... i worked my ass out (even after my phone was already rooted) for making MTK devices rooted and i think a made a good job... i presented the easiest and clearest method which is actually not bricking any devices... i built scripts to exchange ramdisk compression and port TWRPs for every different MTK LGs... i helped people in PMs, Facebook and TeamViewer... the least i deserve is a god damn coffee, don't i???
Not like you would deserve an answer on that comment anyways...

Use the "fastboot boot twrp.img" command to get into twrp. You cant flash it. Read the rooting thread for more info.
I dont really understand what you want to post a tutorial about however i suggest you to read the other related threads i linked in the rooting thread and if you have any new stuff wirth a new thread then of course make it.

You have to port TWRP for yourself: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-k10/development/mtk-portable-twrp-porter-t3536123
then you can try to root depending on your firmware security patch date.

LineageOS 15 on LG K8 - true or false?
@gottlasz , you have great knowledge and experience.
Can you verify the accuracy of the information on the following pages?
LG K8 Lineage OS 15 – Download and installation Guide
The article leads to the lineage-15.0-20170913-Unofficial-MT6735-64-bit.zip file from which I extracted build.prop.
In the build.prop file is information that it is prepared for Tecno Camon C7 - convergence parameters for LG K8.
From the first link you can open the page:
TWRP download for LG K8
on which is the link to TWRP-recovery-for-LG-K8.img.
It is puzzling for me that there are very many devices on this list [LineageOS 15 ROM Devices List – Android Oreo [UPDATED FREQUENTLY] with unofficial LineageOS 15.
What do you think about all this?

I think if its not on xda than its false... anyways it's just one of those sites collecting visitors with popular topics but no real value...
Our k8 is really sensitive. Its not gonna work with a ported rom. Someone with the nowledge should build a rom straight for the k8 but i guess we have to wait for it...

Okay, if you have the knowledge to know which rom you want on your phone, you should know how to use the search button my friend. I don't want to sound mean, but I'm very tired of babysitting people when this topic is all over the forums and can easily be found within 30 seconds of doing a Google search. You need to learn that the community loves to help people, but only if they can help themselves. And you should read the forum rules and never post anything in the Orginal Android Development sub-thread of the G3 forum because that is for actual development only, not questions, and not to be harsh, but you wont ever have anything to add to that. Also, since you apparently can't even do a simple search, I'll go ahead and warn you to be careful about what roms you flash and only flash ones specifically for the D855. I also ask that you read EVERYTHING on the OP's page before even downloading the rom. That being said, to start getting your phone ready to flash, you need to first root your phone with StumpRoot:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/orig-development/root-stump-root-lg-g3-sprint-verizon-t2850906
After you have carefully following all of these instructions and you have properly working superuser access with SuperSU installed on your device, then you can proceed to installing a Bump'd version of TWRP for your phone. Once again, make sure you download the correct file for you variant and follow this guide verbatim:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...mp-unlock-lg-g3-twrp-d852-d852g-f400-t2900614
Once that is done, you should download whatever rom it is you want to flash, IF AND ONLY IF IT IS FOR THE D855. I cannot stress enough how important it is that you don't flash a rom for a different variant. Follow all directions on the OP's page and you should be good to go.
Good luck on all this but next time, please learn to search before you start a new thread. This topic is literally all over the forums and is so easy to Google and find out for yourself in no time. If people would just read they could figure out a lot more without having to let others do the thinking for them.
Boy im glad i got rid of this phone. Best sell it and buy something easier to root with more custom roms.

If rooting this phone is hard for you I really pitty your intelligence.
Lol. I said easier to root not "hard"!!!
Even if you do root not many custom roms which is big no no for many. Then the lag and cartoonist ui boy it's a toss up between touchwiz and LG ui which is the worst.
Won't be buying LG nor Samsung anytime soon.

Rooting is seriously either one button after installing an APK or connecting your phone to your computer and pressing ENTER 3 times.

BTW.
I have a questions about roms. Which rom for LG G3 (D855) is the best ?
I read a lot of good opinion about SphinX G3 V2.0, because V3.0 is not for D855.
EDIT:
I have a problem with Stump Root, because I see a error: "device is patched, sorry". What do I am?

I have a software from PLUS operator (Poland). I afraid to brick my phone, because It costs around 1700 PLN.
Stump ROOT do not run, because device is patched.
Purple Drake do not run, but I install all drivers and I go step by step guide.
Version of software: V10I-260-01.
What does it mean, the device is patched ?

Flashify > all possibilities

hi !
Here on this G4 section i don't have seen "good" discussion about this fabulous tool ...and NEVER devellopers feedbacks.
here on xda on others threads ,many members have said tha this tool is great and innovatibe because he could flash what we want (kernel ,roms...etc...) but without unlock bootloader and no need at all a custom recovery like twrp (original stock woukd be good fot that)
Providing to a LP rooted and bootloader locked ...
I ask myself what happen if we flash Imperium MM ( there are the kernel and the system on the zip file of the develloper )......or a custom rom ???
For the future ,we must hope for this sort of innovative fururist tools (and hack methods) instead of all olds traditionals tools (cwm ,twrp,fastboot....) more and more out-of-date ineffective ,useless with news android version full securised and bootloaders more and more definitively locked ,otherwise it's the begining of the end of root , customs roms&kernels , ports of projects (zip ) ......etc....or we have to recycle old S4 and note ,htc one ,kg g2/g3....
You didn't understand how the new security feature of 6.0 works..... It doesn't depend on the method cause it just checks for changes and if you change something, it won't boot. That is a rather simple explanation but it's enough.

That's what some of the people say...
It's useless to be angry or fatalist...it not help at all the evolution (and mentalities evolutions too) of the technologies.
Chainfire always have shown us the example .
The future is not still well underway...we have to trust to news hacking methods with differents news ways ...
maybe never and it's the end....maybe we will witness to a big revolution (maybe with flashify/flashfire powerful evolutions)...

what did chainfire show us? Systemless root requires an unlocked bootloader, flashfire can't pass the unlocked bootloader and never will cause it doesn't break the security and it's not intended to do it. Please stop you bull**** talk about what might be done in what ever future.
Can some mod close this please?
you have a real sh** bad behaviour . Its pathetic and total disrespectful......and no knowledges for answer .
xda is not YOUR forum...you never have to "judge" members here.. stay in your place.
Okay, go try to flash an unsigned kernel and tell us the result.
Flashfire and flashify will not work until a bootloader unlock or workaround is achieved. I wouldnt say never for either but the way things are going rite now for most g4s. Not lilely.

you did ask the exact same questions in various threads and always got the same answer "it will not work" and "i flashed a rom and ended up in bootloop" and now you open a thread with these questions and you wonder why some people are annoyed by that?
"pretentiousness"? really? i just tell the facts nothing more and the fact is if we don't unlock or bypass the bootloader, nothting will happen, no matter what app you use cause the security is in the system and the app runs on top of the system.

Like with flashIfy it dosnt unlock g3. All it does is flash a modified twrp image that g3 thinks is official aka bumped. Now flash fire. I havent flashed any roms but in therory of u had a stock system only zip as of rite now it will work. No boot image no kernal. Stock system zip only. I flashed exposed with it. And i also flashed the camera mod for 60fps. Both worked. For either flashify or fire to there still has to be a sevcurity exploit found. G2 loki and g3 bump is all they were is. Any image we flashed lg thought they haf a valid signature. That was the exploit on them. Of coarse not on g4. Again. Once we get an exloit flashify should flash twrp to recovery parts. And from there roms from recovery. So technicly it is impossible to use them at this time. But ive been taught in life that nothings impossible.

Can you screen shot your kernel information in settings and then about phone so I can see what it says for the rooted kernel. And copying the entire system to use it on the other phone is possible. Just depends on certain things.
I guess I should of bought a rooted one myself...........
think that no one has the root yet on this phone, so, pay attention to the instructions that forum masters will give to you. You could be a HERO for the entire Sm-n920a community and users hahahah. Btw, i don't know your knowledge about this things but yes, is possible to do this. Obvious, when someone of the biggest users will teach you how to do what you need, you could share the system clone with us!
Not to mention there's a big donation for anyone that finds a root method. So if you really have a rooted at&t note 5 there could be money coming your way.

Everything is layed out we just need to get the code written. Remember anything is possible when you put you're mind to it, but this is with code. Kexec has worked in the past for locked bootloaders so I don't see why my notes in theory but plausible.

Upload it to us and we can make a clone. Please!
If you have a real full root. We need your system dump to unlock at&t and Verizon both.

Chill bro I'm working on getting it from him. I've seen accident eng phones released by Samsung before so maybe it happened again.
There's no root for AT&T Note 5 SM-N920A if you are running Marshmallow with the Nov security update! If you are on this version you are screwedededed!!!! I tried every type of way to install firmwares PH4 ==> PH2 and I tried every version of firmware I could find on this planet. I have tried OGG. I have tried crashing my installation, then trying to downgrade.
Long story short; If you have an unlocked SM-N920A running Android 6.01 with Nov Security Patch I will definitely be donating to you if you upload. If you aren't a member of this forum I promise you that you are safe. The guys here will help you make a copy of the firmware which will not include your personal information. (Look for the guys with lots of Thanks, listen to them)
So if you are coming in from Google and you are wondering if you can root or downgrade now you know that you can't. I'm a beginner Android Developer who follows directions like a champion, save your time trying to downgrade it is fully blocked by the bootloader.
unlocked SM-920A upload coming soon

AOSP Extended whelp

I need help on installing AOSP Extended v8.0 (Android 11), cuz all the tutorial videos i watched are either complicated or miss links and files necessary
So, can somebody guide me on intsalling it?
Thanks in advance!
P.S.1: The phone is Redmi Note 8 (ginkgo), unlocked bootloader, rooted
P.S.2: Preferably send links of the files and dont attach them for security reasons

Any reason you cannot just follow the instructions in the OP for this ROM?
Also did you notice the thread is locked due to some issue with kernel?

Yes I noticed it. It says it's due to a source link missing. I was wondering if you could give me that link and any link needed.

Sorry I am on v7.3 for 10 and have no interest in upgrading.
Even if I was why would you think I would have the link when a mod has closed it because it is not available - seems a good enough reason to avoid no?
seems some people want to hardbrick their devices

General A WARNING TO ALL A32 4G/5G USERS (very important)

As you have seen in the title, this is a warning. DON'T root your galaxy a32, as it can take some time but the phone will lose fingerprint unlock and sim card/internet functionality because of UNKNOWN BASEBAND and IMEI error.
You can't get it to work even reflashing stock firmware, and you can't downgrade because of samsung bootloader lock. There's no TWRP for the 4g variant so you can't backup important partitions. Many people are having this problem with both 4g and 5g, as seen in the forums from those device.
If you don't want to turn ur galaxy into an AndroidPod with no sim, then don't root it, atleast for now or until magisk people bug fix it.
Assine o Abaixo-assinado
Fix MAGISK and baseband in Samsung galaxy A32!

Lets try to talk to john wu on twitter guys
Are we completely sure it's due to a bug in Magisk?

I think we should post an issue in the Magisk github and see if anyone has any clue.

yep, thats absolutely crazy... i guess we, a32 users are just unlucky at this point lol
I posted in the Magisk support forum.
I haven't opened a bug repot in github yet, cause they require the bugs to be tried on their alpha "canary" versions.
I found very old bug reports of people having the same problem with older samsungs. IDK if related. I'm still investigating and talking in the support forum.
Maybe soon I'll try flashing their canary version. I don't thinnk it will fix it but It'll help me investigate further into the partitions and such.

we could find someone that makes twrp for a32 4g, and then get a backup from someone or idk
I have TWRP for the 5G version: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=325796 (not my code)
also found it for 4G: https://www.mediafire.com/file/bshjep6n3pqjt7r/twrp-recovery-a32+4g+helio+G80.tar/file (not my code again) both of these are untested from me, so try at your own risk
before you say thank you, you're welcome
ayooo thanks, test it @Mighty_Rearranger @dronkit , I'm not with my phone rn lol, here the tutorial https://unofficialtwrp.com/twrp-351-root-galaxy-a32-4g/
if you need a clearer guide, here you go: https://www.getdroidtips.com/twrp-recovery-galaxy-a32-4g-root/ (this is where i got the 4g link from the other was from xda)

OK, so if I boot TWRP what do I do next? Do a backup? Erase the NVRAM?
Also I don't wanna be rude but are you sure it's for any A32 model? The tutorial says something about it being only for Q models.
Check your SM- model, if it's not a Q then just find another ROM.
Boot TWRP and install the stock ROM for the 4G version of the phone.
It should be a Q at the end.
