It will be using the base of cyanogen there may be minor changes as I know of compared to LineageOS they are using the cyanogen branch for the time being

They are continuing Cyanogenmod. So right now it's very similar but over time it will differentiate. There is no more development for Cyanogenmod. This is now the base.
It's important to note that there are around 4 or 5 base's (that I'm aware of):
AOSP
Lineage
Slim
Omnirom
Exodus
Cyanogenmod has always been one of the most popular but now Lineage will take its mantle. The others are still there and going but don't have the same level of device support (but some believe they are better for it as they can focus on better quality for fewer devices).

I'm loving the rom so far. However there is one issue that I'm having. Any time that I get a call or make a call, the screen doesn't turn on. Suggestions on how I can go about fixing that?

No offense but you're the 3rd one to release a rom that has the exact same source as the original CM13 thread, and all others have been shutted down. You should invest your time helping the main branch fixing their stuff instead of dividing everybody. Releasing a ROM that is exactly the same with a different name is a total lack of respect to those who really worked hard to make this happen, plus your sources are not even public :/

I have no sources. I have published the link to the kernel source. Every Rom is based off CM tree and it is not the same. Its SLIM.

I'm pretty sure it's an XDA rule to publish the source of every rom/kernel. Otherwise it could contain malware/keylogger or could be fake. I took a look at SLIM's github and i didn't see anything related to the S6.
Dude you dont get it. According to XDA you should publish a source for the kernel and I did. Go ahead with the link I posted and it will direct you to the kernel source. It is not necessary that the kernel should belong to Slim.
I see no official source on your GitHub. Is this just a rebrand of CM 13 for S6?
Nevermind keep it coming

Dude, I used Slim rom sources and this device kernel and vendor tree and built the rom. There is no need for sources in my github. And Slim and CM are different. I am not just rebranding. I am building this from source.

Having a second ROM with same issues doesn't help at all. Why wouldn't you wait for it to be stable instead of releasing another alpha rom?

The only source required to be posted by GPLv2 and XDA requirements is kernel source. Also Slim and CM both have posted open permissions to build.

[ROM][6.0.1][LVM] Cyanogenmod builds for new LCD

Hi Everyone,
I've built Cyanogenmod with CM made patches to include the latest kernel from Oppo's Project Spectrum, thereby supporting the new Find 7 LCD panels. Please make backups and let your fellow Android flashaholics know your results.
This build is for LVM storage only.
Known issues:
The standard CM updater will likely break this modified rom. Please only update by flashing builds from this thread.
Sources:

Patch #2

Download:
cm-13.0-20160303-UNOFFICIAL-find7s.zip - Current
cm-13.0-20160301-UNOFFICIAL-find7.zip
THIS IS AN EXPERIMENTAL AND POTENTIALLY UNSTABLE BUILD - ALWAYS BACKUP.
I'll keep uploading builds if there's enough interest. Please post feedback below.
So you have tested them or not?

My results were that Cyanogenmod booted fine, but I'm on LVM so couldn't test properly. I haven't tested Nameless out yet but will next chance I get.
Slightly unrelated - Thank you for getting OmniRom on a kernel with the new LCD support so early, you've saved my Find7 for these past few months!

Hi, install and boot works fine, display works fine, but not LVM supported
Anyway thanks for your work, i will wait for new build with lvm support.
Thanks :good:
Since Nameless had a few issues I don't have the time to fix, I've decided to focus on Cyanogenmod builds.
The latest CM build (2015-03-03) fixes screen gestures and switches to LVM storage.
Could you build for x9007/6?

Yeah it works! I have found only a serious bug: i have no sounds of any kind: no music, notifications, etc.
Everything else works or seems to works fine: 4g, wifi, calls, everything.
Thanks so much for the rom, long time waiting for this.

I've flashed this rom and from my experience, the only real bug that is here is the fact that sound does not work at all unless using headphones. Could you by any chance port MaxxAudio from the original ColorOS onto this or the Camera?

Hi Pojiku.
Good job man. Don't wait if there wiil be interest to upload builds. Go my friend because i'm sure many find 7's owners are waiting for this impatiently in particular those who own a find 7 with new lcd panel like me. I m on omni, it s a very good rom with a very good dev. Today due to an incompatibility, i m forced to stay on an old omni build and cannot update. So i think that your rom could be a solution for me. I will wait a new build fixing the sound issue and be sure i will flash your rom to test it.
Thank you for your invest and your time.
Good luck.

currently, lineage os is cyanogenmod only with a different name. But we don't know what they'll do in the future.
Will we be able to dirty flash the first Lineage OS builds over a current CM build or will it require a wipe?

you can dirty flash but you'll need to wipe system partition in TWRP (wipe, advance wipe, system and cache) and after you flash the ROM, reflash GAPPS
Will the new Lineage OS builds fix old bugs inherent in the old CM14.1 nightlies? Since the first CM14.1 build for my phone (HTC one m8), fellow Canadian users have reported that turning on location services resulted in bootloops (this did not occur with CM13). The problem was never fully fixed, and it didn't seem like anybody was working on a solution. It would be great if the new Lineage OS builds would have these old issues resolved.
Why is it that noone wants to support a device with an exynos based proccessor, and will it ever happen? For example noone is developing any AOSP roms for the galaxy s6 edge...
What will happen to those devices which didn't had any maintainer in CM? Eg ZUK Z1!
I would like to ask if Lineage OS will be available on the Huawei P8 Lite

Mostly all devices that had support for official CM13 and CM14 will get Lineage OS. MOSTLY!!!! But no worries, newer devices will have official support too. Just we'll have to wait till the official support list comes up!

Yes, I think so..... CM Theme Engine is one of the best things CM gave us so, obviously, they're not gonna remove it. If they do, I hope they'll add at least some theme engine or substratum.

Samsung makes the Exynos processors and doesn't release the processor source, and it is very difficult to develop on processors when there is no processor sources. Samsung stopped releasing the processor source code after the whole brickbug fiasco.
Additionally, they make it more difficult to develop on Exynos devices by, violating the GPL, (which the kernel is licenced under) by holding back parts of the kernel source code, to where what they provides rarely is enough to create a booting kernel, as is required. This makes it to where we can't really see how they make it work and reverse engineer a working kernel.
Maybe one of the s6 developers will port LineageOS to the S6's.

Lineage os = cyanogenMOD yes eventually they will fix it but lineage os is cyanogen so they will have the exactly the same everything except for name. Big and everything will be carried over.

There are themes in the Play Store that will work on LOS14.1.
If a theme specifies that it's compatible for the CM14.1/Nougat, then it should work on the LOS14.1.
The only caveat to that, which goes without stating, is if it specifically states that it is not for the LOS14.1/LineageOS 14.1 but, so far, i haven't seen that statement for the CM14.1 themes that I use.
This is only from my experience but, I've known to be wrong and, if I am, then can that member specify what and why so i know myself.
Good Luck!

I had asked a similar question to one of the LineageOS (formerly CyanogenMod) Lead Developers and here is a short and sweet summary of the response...
What was performed for the LineageOS ROM's was that they copied all the recent/working build information from the Cyanogenmod ROM's and resumed the build process with the LineageOS rebrand information and so on.
So... The LOS Unofficial (eventually Official) Builds released are actually Cyanogenmod builds that were rebranded to LineageOS and resumed developments.
The version information (ie... 13 & 14.x) were kept to reflect the Android versions...
So the themes within the Play Store that are for the CM13/CM14.x should work on the LOS13/LOS14.x in the same manner.
I did my best to explain it and hope i explained it okay.

I didn't installed Lineage OS 14.1 yet(Soon i will ). But if you have FlipFlap in latest builds, you can change themes. It's the cm theme engine port for Lineage OS.

If you're referring to "Lucky Patcher detection" which Silesh uses in InvictaOS, than unless it's in RR sources officially, it's not in my official builds either. Also, unless you're using my device and kernel trees, and are compiling the kernel with Linaro, than these builds aren't the same as mine. If anything, I would assume they're the same as ///TheNexus/// nightly builds.

No worries! Silesh uses his own tweaked device tree and MM kernel in his builds. When I took over, I switched over to Lineage trees. I have a few extra commits here and there but nothing too serious and the only commits I've made in the vendor tree (at this time) is for the removal of "Device is HD Capable" notification that everyone hates lol.
