AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT​
What is AOKP?​
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.​
Why AOKP ?​
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?​

Awesome rom but encountered an error when someone calls me it doesn't ring. I already have my volume up and dnd turned off. G925f user. And safetynet doesn't pass on magisk 15.3... Thanx

Thanks for this ROM. It's pretty simple. And it has everything you want. It's got a very good performance. So I'm just not able to disable the physical buttons. I already happened in crdroid (only the recent button was disabled) Is someone with the same problem? Or is it from my setup? Fingerprint configuration doesnt work for me too. My phone is a g920f. Thank you and congratulations on your work.

Id like to edit it actually only happens when you select a custom ringtone aside from the one on the system like for example when you set and use the tones from a substratum theme. I just used the tones that came with the rom all is good now.

About Project:
Citrus-CAF, unlike the name suggests, was initially based off CyanogenMod, in the early days of Marshmallow, we even had another name at that point. Later, taking into consideration feedbacks of the very first slew of testers and carefully studying the needs and demands of our users, we rebased the project to Code Aurora Sources, more commonly known as CAF. Time went by and Nougat released, and we decided that it was time, Citrus-CAF had to see the daylight. We rebased everything to the brand spanking Nougat released. Later we realized the true potential of CAF tags, how each of them altered the device performance on different SOCs. After a lot of thinking, we decided to keep different sources for difference SOCs in our git and hours of debugging later, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was the first device to get a taste of our Tangy Nougat. In the beginning, it was just two people behind , but in time, a lot of people joined us, as each giving their own contibutions.
Citrus-CAF was built to create an amazing combination of customization, performance and most of the demanded features by our users, whereas we've Cardinal, to deliver minimal customizations, but the greatest stability!
Meanwhile, all of our Tangy sources are publicly available on our Github. We also do own a Google+ Community, where you can.... uhm... you know, do what all others do at forums and communities! (Just kidding, we got builds over there and a feature-wish bucket too ) Hope you enjoy your stay and taste the Tanginess of our work!

First & foremost Thank you for all your efforts. you are great :good:
Been working with this for an hour and this is my feedback:
1- no preinstalled music player and equalizer
2- changing device them from display options only changes QS menu background and not the settings background as well.
3- taping on navigation bar options from "Custom Squash" causes settings to crash.
4- tap to wake does not work.
5- no option to lock the screen without using hardware button. ( like double tap on status bar to turn screen off)
6- no matter how many restarts I did, I always got "fingerprint enrollment was not complete" or even couldn't pass the "touch the sensor" page.

No obviously. Theoretically you can but you will have problems. It's almost like anyone can drink poison in life but only once.

No problem in waiting,I use custom roms as daily driver,I hardly change rom in a month. Stable or better rom takes time ,they don't go official overnight. Keep working

Thanks for your implication, but as of today, this rom is not at acceptable level and can not compete with eg: CORVUS V13 and some others.
Exemple: BT audio missing is unacceptable.

Thanks for your implication, but as of today, this rom is not at acceptable level and can not compete with eg: CORVUS V13 and some others.
Exemple: BT audio missing is unacceptable.

yeah and that rom is aosp xd more easy to fix things , and caf take some time idk care corvus

I've been running the 1/23 build and everything is working great!! Really smooth and responsive.
Edit: Yeah I take that back. Bluetooth is still broken. If you don't care about that then it's a great ROM.
Edit2: Figured I'd try the 2/2 build. Yep, BT still broken. But this is one of the most stable ROMs I've tested!!

I installed ... ECHO problem....

I installed this rom doing a clean installation and the only problem that I have found has been the echo problem when establishing a telephone conversation which is the same as happened with the version of android 10 pixel experience.

Pixel Experience 11 Standard Edition and 11 Plus Edition is now OFFICIAL and can be obtained through the link in the OP.
If you are on an UNOFFICIAL build of Pixel Experience, you will be required to clean flash as the OFFICIAL builds are signed.

Hi! I found 2 bugs.
1. Back and Recents buttons vibrates on AOD.
2. When I set the brightness to maximum, I lock the phone and unlock it again, the brightness is set to the minimum.
Everything except these two problems works very well. Can it be fixed somehow?

Cannot create folder in android data folder... Tried please someone should help

Tried creating folder to add my cod data file but said folder cannot be created actually I am using Google files application.. I don't know if it's the app or I should try installing another app like zarchiver

Fast! battery drain issue plus board and battery getting very hot, especially after turn wifi on.

once you turning the wifi on /off, the device starts to get warm, the battery drains, and it's not possible to turn the wifi on again. you must reboot but restart doesn't work normally so you should use -vol + power or wait till the battery goes empty.

new build will adddress the problem you have here

Really loving this ROM. It works well, as long as I'm in battery saver mode, but it gets pretty toasty and drains very quickly when battery saver is turned off, which makes charging a bit of an issue, as plugging it in disables battery saver.
Switched to this from LineageOS. Thanks for the effort on these roms. Looking forward to the next build.

Having some camera isues. App lags and sometimes freezes and camera failed error pops up. Only restarts can fix issue.
Tried using open camera but that app shows green screen and sometimes force closes.
Anyone else having these issues?
Also can I dirty flash Plus version over this one?
