Welcome to VanirAOSP.
Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.

.....Well, to answer my own question, it does! Downloaded and running the ROM now, encrypting the phone as we speak.....so far so good

Development is temp stopped due to my exams. It will resume on 10 October. However questions would still be answered

I am an official maintainer for Xperia V but I will try to get official support from vanir for z1 compact after I fix bugs on the Xperia V builds. Of course, this is built from source and is stable for daily use as confirmed by @rob rich I will try to squeeze in time to update. Wanted to update it today but I had no time left.

All the goddies from pa and omni plus some more. Not a single feature I am missing.
I would really appreciate it if you would keep maintaining vanir for z1 compact to maybe get official support one day.

The only annoying bug I have found so far, is that the back button sometimes lags a little. Maybe it is related to the new 5 button navbar settings. But even if you don't change anything in this settings the back button sometime lags...

Back button bug is present in CM also. Unless this bug was not present in build 2.....
Most likely there will be an update today with 6 bar signal icon

OK, didn't know that because I haven't used CM for a long time. I can not tell if the bug was present in your older builds, build 3 is the only one I used. So I think there is nothing you can do to fix this bug, right?

AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT​
What is AOKP?​
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.​
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).​
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.​
Why AOKP ?​
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?​

PLEASE keep developing for this, it's buttery smooth! Hope we can get a stable version soon! ( Camera worked then stopped, NO LTE data comes in and out , location works as of usage with wifi , gapps came on fine just my feed back )

I am getting this error while flashing GAPPS tried both Full_Dynamic_GApps-7.1.x-20161215 & Mini_Dynamic_GApps-7.1.x-20161215 , no luck .
Any special instructions to flash Gapps ??

I did too, you can't restore your previous backup of apps otherwise the phone reboots. I don't know maybe it's because we are trying to restore apps from TouchWiz. Just choose the option to not restore apps and data after signing into Google.

Does this have video playback error issue when trying to watch videos in apps? e.g Facebook, Twitter?

Call audio not work on g920f

Working stunningly well at the moment.
The only issue (unsure if ROM related but never happened on another ROM before) is Google Pay.
Anyone confirm if this is working and they can add their card?
The app want to verify card and never does.

It's on 3.1.1-0 cause a bootloop happened when i installed the latest version. error 7 is when the updater script in the rom does not list your device as compatible so idk if its intentional or he simply forgot to include the usa tmobile versions of the phones

Oh man! This is by far my favorite ROM but incall audio is still buggy! Even after the update where you changed audio hall. Incoming calls can't hear me not I can't hear them. Outgoing calls mostly works but not always.
BT calling is also not working but that's not even that much of an problem as long as calling works!
Enes is probably studying for exams right now so I'll be patient... But please hurry before I have to go back to TW! ?

Anyone else found a workaround or fix for the audio calls not fully working?

On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. Just now checked, every thing looks fine, took 3.5 mins to download asphalt 9, both with screen on and off.

I'm not sure, but maybe you can, I would recommend clean flash anyday though.

Hello whyredFire, maybe it's just my phone but whenever I tap on the Google search bar, it doesn't pop up the keyboard unless I tap the cursor again. This doesn't happen in other search bar, such as the Settings search bar

I tried it couple many times, and it's fine here. Since you've dirty flashed this one.... I would recommend a clean flash. Tip: Backup all your stuff using an app called "Migrate" on Play Store and you're good to go.

I have been having issues with whatsapp notifications on Paranoid, earlier on Quartz 4 but on Quartz 5 too.
Things like receiving calls but the phone remains asleep, or messages being notified tens of minutes later.
Today I tried Lineage 17.1 and it works fine.
Unfortunately I won't be able to try any solution until I decide to reflash the rom, but I'd like to know if this is a known issue and/or there is a trivial solution.

I dirty flashed from PA 4, didn't have any issue thankfully.
Did you wipe system, dalvik and cache?
Thanks OP for the updates! Fingers crossed I don't have any more excessive battery drain from my Mi Band being connected.

Working great! battery life is amazing now. Also not sure if it's just me but it feels more fluid now too.

where's the download link? Also on official website any idea when it will be available because except 2-3 models quartz5 is available there for every model and ginkgo is among those 2-3 unfortunately

Hi. There are 2 things that I miss and couldn't find on settings even with nova launcher installed. It's possible to enable?
1) partial screen shot
2) assign functions to hold the virtual buttons like holding the back button kill the active app.
