Official Stuff (media, website, forum, profiles etc) - LineageOS Questions & Answers

There's already a lot of Facebook pages, Twitter profiles and even websites claiming to be LineageOS.
Pretty please, put info about your oficial social media, reddit, github, forum or anything else somewhere here on XDA and your website (lineageos.org, is it even the official one?). That way people will be a little cautious before downloading wrong or malicious files.
If there are any info about that here already, sorry, but I couldn't find it.

http://lineageos.org is the official website, at the bottom of the page you can find the other officials.

Thanks!
The suggestion to put those info on this forum's description is still up anyway.

There's still no download, the site and the project are still working. You can check the status section on the site to see the current status.

Yeah, I don't either but I'm pretty sure they won't have that running until very last since it requires working build servers. I'm actually kind of surprised the wiki isn't up and running. I mean how hard is it to get wiki running on a server? I just mean compared to What's already running like gerrit and such.
Edit: Looks like we're getting closer. Weekly builds instead of nightlies which is fine. Also they updated the download page to have a slide out menu on mobile now. https://review.lineageos.org/#/c/155809/

he has his own site but no development action. all he does is compile roms for a lot devices and post it there. mostly with his added cherry picks and some Chinese app bloat ware. last time I checked lvm is supported depending on the rom. can't remember which one.

Yeah guess it's end off baidu download's they are only downloadable through baidu account or baidu downloader now...
Has too be a Chinese dude with account doing this!
Surely it's moonlight's way of making them Chinese accessible only.
Guess he don't like xda
Anyone tested wich one using LVM ... ??
EDIT: Tested...None of the roms and follow updates of same will support LVM....

TWRP Recovery 3.0.2 with decryption fix

In case anyone else is having issues using TWRP with CM 13 encryption, the issue is already fixed in TWRP code, they just haven't released a new build. So I've done my own build off nightly sources.
Hopefully this will help out anyone else who can't get TWRP 3.0.2 to access encrypted /data .

Nice idea, however, you appear to have chosen quite possibly the worst hosting website in the history of man! Why do I need to sign up to be able to download a file? Makes no sense to me. Thanks anyway.
Why don't you submit the fix to the OFFICIAL TWRP thread?

I didn't create the fix myself. It's already in the official TWRP sources. They just haven't released a new build since fixing it. It's also worth noting that the bug is not device specific. If I understand correctly it appears in all MM devices that use hardware encryption.
I didn't post in the official thread because this isn't an official build.

Is there a reason why I cannot seem to use "adb" or "adb shell" while booted into this copy of TWRP?

Interested in porting CM 13

Hello fellow XDA members, I recently purchased a Le Pro 3 and a Le S3 during the flash sale and would like to use Cyanogenmod on my devices. I was wondering if anyone on this forum has ever ported a ROM before as I have not, and only know about the CM porting guide and opensource.le.com for the kernel source. If anyone has any tips or would like to assist me in porting CM13 to the Pro 3 please reply to this thread or PM me. Thanks, and let's hope LeEco releases the source soon!
Love to help but this isn't my department ????. But we should probably see more support in a couple more days once they start arriving here
Just out of curiousity, what exactly had you hoped to achieve with this post? If you're interested in porting, ideally you should at least be able to build a rom (for another pre-existing device)... and then you'll have to hunt down help on the CM forums and then eventually IRC.
Talking about this on XDA is pointless.

The purpose of my post was to see if anyone in the XDA community had experience porting a ROM to a new device, and if they'd be interested in helping me. I have read through a few guides and understanding building a ROM, but am struggling to find what I must "merge." From what I've found so far, I'll need to edit/merge the directories in /system/libs and edit the kernel?

No, it's far more complicated than that. You'll need a copy of the kernel for sure, but you'll also need a device definition. You can use the op3's device as a template, it's probably the best example of an msm8996 device you can have.
You really should be checking into the CM forums. CM people are pretty uppity about not supporting things on XDA. They also don't tend to help. Even as a developer I find it difficult sometimes to get their attention. Your best bet is to go to them if you want their help. Good luck.

Where did you get that information from? They "accidentally" released kernel sources not too long ago and seemingly withdrew it. I got a copy of them and that's what I've been working with. I don't have a device to verify if any of it works.

I asked on this forum. Also my S3 is coming tonight, and my Pro tomorrow. I have a copy of the Pro 3 kernel source as well but as of now don't know what to do. What have you worked on so far?

Not a lot. I've identified the CAF tag the sources are based on and have been working to separate the relevant LeEco mods from the less relevant ones. I've also been attempting to remove the leeco specific things from the drivers that i'm keeping since they're a horrible mess and CM won't be able to make use of them anyway. I've also been finding the appropriate open versions of the drivers and taking the latest ones instead.
The mods from LeEco seem to be a mess, the dmesg output I got from a user on the chinese model (the x720) had segfaults from the modifications just after boot. The logcats are so full of errors I was unable to get the user to send me a full logcat from boot.
Interestingly enough, the chinese system rom looks like it came from a Le Max2. This makes sense since it's LeEco's first msm8996 device, and the Le Pro3 is the second one. I imagine the kernel sources work across a number of the 8996's.
Can you send me the link to where you got the open drivers.

Wish i could help more, but it looks like the kernel source is in there too, perhaps that means a fully functional cm13 rom that works AT LEAST as well as the stock rom. VERY EXCITE!

If you have a X722 >>>>>> DO NOT INSTALL THIS ROM!!!!
I hope you don't take this post personally, I am only wanting to warn people about the dangers of using this Rom, and not trying to insult you.
First this Rom is not really newer.
I just compared the files of the two ROMs ( side by side ) and it mostly has the exact same files with the same dates and sizes.
But this one has more bloatware, and a different kernel ( the wrong one) simply compiled at a later date.
Its using the S1 Coolpad kernel and that is dangerous for some users.
I would not trust the link to the Flyme website either:
I used that one for two days and although it had all of the correct radio files from stock EUI, it still had too many FC's and the overheating was so bad I thought the phone was bricked at one point.
I am sure that you don't want people to brick their phones!?
* Why not just install something stable and guaranteed to work.
Reminder based on the Coolpad S1 kernel.
I would strongly Advise that anyone with a X722 to not bother unless you want a guaranteed brick.
The only positive aspect that I can see is that this Rom is It has alot of sounds, that is not a joke.
It has 40 ringtones
40 Alarm sounds
30 Notification sounds
30 misc ui sounds
Seriously, these links need to be taken down.

Question Can someone build CorvusOS for the OnePlus 9 Pro?

[Mod Edit] See release thread here: [ROM] [Google Applications] CorvusOS
Hello! I would love to try out CorvusOS for the OnePlus 9 Pro, but I cannot get the GSI variant to work properly. So I was wondering if someone who knew how to build ROMs can build CorvusOS for the OnePlus 9 Pro. If someone can, that would be awesome! I would do it myself, but I really don't know how. I would love to see this ROM come to the OnePlus 9 Pro.
Thank you!

Probably not. Strictly speaking XDA probably wouldn't allow posts for it if they're not making their source public either.
