Does anyone have the stock Black theme from the Mi Note 2 Dev ROM? As far as I know, its designed by Xiaomi and is only available for the Mi Note 2 for now, maybe because it has an AMOLED Screen.
But I'd really like to have this theme on our Mi Mix! Here is the link to the theme on the MIUI forums. It looks awesome. See for yourself.

Sadly its not available for any other devices. Hope someone can port this. Please post it here if someone already has this theme.

Unfortunately, there is no download link, the only way to get it according to the MIUI OP is via the theme store on that specific phone.

Thiis requires us to have a Xiaomi designer account and not the regular Mi account. The designer account takes 3 or more days for approval.

I've just noticed that the status bar icons aren't the default MIUI icons when applying this theme. Have you noticed this? Initially, I thought that the theme may not have applied correctly and rebooted the device. But the statusbar icons didnt change to the stock MIUI icon.
It looks like this is a theme based on the MIUI 8 black theme. Close enough but not the official one I guess.

You are correct. I'm thinking they had to make some sacrifices in the port unfortunately. Also some of the notifications in the shade are black on black text so that is an issue. I really like the N-Droid theme from the theme store so I may mess with combining the two somehow.

Check out the Eureka 8 Pro theme on the theme store. This is by far the only perfect 3rd party dark theme I have found so far. Almost All UI Elements are themed and there is no artefacts or low resolution theme elements commonly associated with other 3rd party themes.
Unfortunately there are multiple variants of this theme on the theme store. Look for the one with most user comments. That seems to be the one directly posted by the developer.

I'm not sure how to download the theme as a MTZ file. I had downloaded from the theme store and I don't see any option to download as mtz. I didn't find a link to the mtz file in the forums either.
I guess the theme is only available via the theme store as it looks like the developer is against sharing the theme as a MTZ file.

With the mobile there's no way to download the mtz file, but if you visit the themestore with a PC you have the option to download the theme. If you choose that way you'll have your mtz file
Another way is to zip the content of this folder and rename it to .mtz
/data/system/theme
That's the applied theme.

Nope cause i think it would be better if themers will help here and share their knowledge so everybody will know how to theme.
whats that color code ur using for the orange?
When you decompile an apk you will notice the .9.pngs will have black lines around the borders... edit everything but the black border. The lines along the border tell the phone how the image needs to stretch.
So after you edit them and save it you can open it up in the draw9patch to see how its gonna look when its stretched.
Then just recompile the apk and the .9s will be fine

This is what i did in the past: Edit the image in PS i didn't touched the black lines and then i opened it with ninedraw
patch and save it again but when i tried to recompile the apk every time i get an error recompiling the apk and if edit the image again and save it with 9patch again but this time i used 7zip to insert the image
without decompress the apk but i couldn't install the apk then again.
I really want to learn theming and the make teh pixel perfect theme.
This theme looks clean and beautiful! Hope you'll sort out all the problems

You don't need to redraw the patch in the .9 editor unless you actually draw the image from scratch or you mess with the guides.Your problem is when you put an image into the .9 editor you must draw a new guide,So if your saving the image after dragging it into the editor without drawing new patches then your going to get errors.If you need any help just PM me.

Hi all! Since I've got more then 1900 downloads on other devices i decided to post this here so you guys can enjoy them too
These themes are made for ICS dock tho they can be used on other bases, and they are a product of some research of themes available on other places (except theme 2) with a lot of tweaks and adds made by me so they feel more complete.
They need a bit of work to set them up but i think its not much for the result. All the step by step tutorials are in the zip files, as most of the things you need.
For those that don't have photoshop i uploaded the PNG files of the themes (only problem is you can't change wallpapers, icons, text, anything). Still you will be able to have the theme
I'm not an expert and I don't present myself as one, I just love these themes and decided to share them with you guys and hope you all enjoy them.
These themes are not to FLASH or use it with cm9 theme chooser!!! Please read the guide
please note that this were made sometime ago and you can now use Apex with grids like 9x7 (using this for 1st theme)

This is not a cm9 theme or flash one. You need to download the files a setup them following the guides provided inside the zip.
Since i have SGS i'm not sure if the grids match the pngs files so maybe you need to adjust them to suit SGS 2. Since most of the launchers today have many options on this matter it shouldn't be a problem to find a match.
For example I use 9x7 on 1st theme and put 4 blank icons on top of the contacts. This way everytime i hit the wallpaper on that spot i open my contact list.

You don't need a perfect match of the app icon (blank one) on top of the wallpaper icon. All you need is to cover that area where you gonna tap the screen.
On theme 1 i use 9x7 grid and I have 4 icons (blank ones) on top of most of the wallpaper icons (except the lower ones, no need) so i don't miss it when i press there.
tip2:
If ou want your own wallpapers open theme pdf file and open your wallpaper. Drag your wallpaper inside the theme pdf and adjust to your liking. Only works if you have photoshop.
tip3:
You can replace the icons i have with the ones you want. Just use photoshop and replace them.

Requirements:
This directory will be broken into 2 skill level categories.
1-Easy: Flash in SafeStrap Recovery as is, no edits required.
2-Moderate: some monor changes are required to make the theme work safely on our Note 3 (name edits, simple deletions) that anyone with a general working knowledge of how to decompress/recompress zip files for flashing in SS could do it.
☆Changes that involve moving stuff around or editing the install script (like aroma installer based themes) will not be listed. For those to work, permission from the creator to PORT it will be required, and it should have it's own thread!☆

He's got a few themes here. But I installed the Universal Blak Krome.
This one takes a little modding, but looks good! (Follow link, and go to post #760 for download links)
Unzip the theme and make the following edits to make it work:
Files to delete:
System/app/SecEmail_J.apk (it kept f/c at startup)
System/priv-app/VVM.apk (Sprint app)
File to edit:
vrtheme/system/app/SBrowser_SPR.apk. Remove the "_SPR" if you want the browser themed.
A few nice things. The phone, contacts, and mms apps are inverted! Haven't tried the others on his thread.
Also worth noting. There is a full framework-res.apk that is installed. If you're not running a custom rom, it will be fine. If you are, try it anyways. And restore a backup if you have issues.

One of the nice things about knowing your way around an install zip package... Mix n match! I'm running elements of darkhorse, blak krome, bobcat, and cobalt.

For sure.. I just use zarchiver to open them on my phone and dump/edit what I want. Can't stand the ugly @$$ white and tw colors. Gotta be dark. haha.

For sure.. I just use zarchiver to open them on my phone and dump/edit what I want. Can't stand the ugly @$$ white and tw colors. Gotta be dark. haha.

I tried this method and it appears to have broke the group message function on mms. Did you do anything besides leave the apks mentioned?

There may be some quirks. It it a Sprint theme. What does it do? I haven't tried using group sms and don't have this loaded right now.

This is true as I'm on Verizon. I can send a send a group message. However when someone responds to the group message, it returns in a single response instead of maintaining the group thread. That's the only issue I've noticed so far. Thanks

I see. Go into settings and uncheck this setting. Does that fix it for you?

Now mms won't send. Just clocks and the message never goes through. It's all good. Everything else functions perfect. I can continue to use the base mms. ?

Very nice looking theme. I am hoping to eventually see some kind of AOSP theme that works on our current KK build. There is one on the T-Mobile area but sadly the apps included with it force close like crazy on our current KK build.

May I inquire as to what dialer/contacts/messaging you are using? If you mentioned it before I apologize for missing it.
I have flashed this theme and have the white background in those 3 things still. My guess is that you took APKs from something else to replace them with that had dark backgrounds. If I'm correct in that, can you point me what you used?
EDIT: are they from dark horse, black chrome, or cobalt?
EDIT2: I'm and idiot! So sorry just saw the answer up the page on using contacts/dialer/messaging from blak chrome. Sorry to waste space asking lol.

You don't need root or any recovery to have this theme
I have tested this only with Samsung S6
I have themed as much as possible on my free time, plus there are limitations for theming from Sasmung hopefully it will get better and better

Wonderful I've been looking for a dark Amoled Inspired theme and couldn't find one on the theme store, this is very good, just wondering if it's possible for you to make one with a different color rather than red, maybe blue or green, anyway if it's too much work this is already very good.

This was the first try after i got selected to make themes for samsung store and here on it ill improve only i will soon come up with more themes and color options for sure

i follow same procedure but in my themes ony urban theme showing when iim applying urban theme .only urban theme applyed...

i am not sure if you have used other themes from theme store but they do not have options so clock font color etc are hard coded into theme so when you change backgrounds then you need a theme that is not the same color. i generally install the theme i like then change wallpaper to work.

Awesome work. So excited to finally see someone theming for the S6E. The ones on the store are atrocious. When I went to install the urban theme, following your directions, it said it was already installed, even though it wasn't showing up on my phone. I skipped this step and your theme applied just fine. Also I didn't have the same problem as an earlier poster, with the white background/invisible text. And +1 vote for alternative colors. Thanks again....

My friend this issue is weird I haven't got this even once
Still try to remove both Urban and my theme and then follow the same installation again and must reboot after applying it that should solve the issue
