I rooted my F1s with KingRoot, then the guy said use Flashify (from the Playstore) to do Recovery mode etc later on. What is this Flashify supposed to do? I wanted to uninstall KingRoot, and he said Flashify will lead me to finally uninstall KingRoot (with all it's extra crapware)

Dear Senior Members,
If you want you can reword this Tutorial and Upload it to the F1s Section.
But Give me Credit.

Will the steps work for Oppo F1s that has been updated to the latest lollipop firmware? The latest firmware as of now is A.32.
And will it also work for F1s system with Marshmallow installed?

I tried with no luck. Phone is already rooted with the same method you mentioned. I flash the recovery image using the app, and the phone reboots to the stock recovery mode.
I'm not running the phone on a stock firmware.. Could that be the problem?

[ROOT] Oppo Recovery + Root method for Find 7 X9076

***
All thanks go to our awesome XDA-Developers, the developers at Oppo, and also to scumpicule for this working root method.
It doesn't require any alterations to the recovery system, just stick with the one that Oppo has provided.
This has only been tested on the X9076, it should theoretically work for other versions of the Find 7 as well, but please do this under your own discretion.
**Update: It has been reported that the newest Rom release of 1.2.2i or 1.2.3i and onward might not work with this root method! If this is the case, you will need to use these instructions from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53902937&postcount=10
________________________________________________________________________________
CONTINUE with these instructions if you have Rom Version: 1.2.1i, otherwise if you have updated, click on the above link ^
INSTRUCTIONS:
Download the "Find7_ROOT4.3_bbs.oppo.cn.zip" file.
** It is also available at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2739102&highlight=find+7 **
Then Copy/Paste it in your phone on your root folder
Turn Off your phone
Simultaneously press the buttons ' power ' and 'volume down ' until you feel a vibration.
Your phone will reboot into recovery mode. ( Should be the OPPO recovery ! )
Select ' Choose English ' & Install zip file
Then choose the zip file that you have downloaded in step 1 & click "YES" to install.
Hit "Reboot" once everything is completed.
Go into app drawer and select the SuperSU app. Update the binary by selecting the "NORMAL" method.
Reopen SuperSU and make sure binary is okay.
Try downloading "Root Checker" or a app that requires root.
Congratulations, your device is now Rooted!!
________________________________________________________________________________
If you run into any errors, try updating the SuperSU binary again, or check under "NOTES" on the link above that scumpicule has posted.

Were you able to get to SuperSU in the app drawer? Make sure that the binary was installed properly.
It's interesting because I was able to get it to work perfectly.
See attached photos of Root Checker.
Does not work on ColorOS 1.2.2i
I just got my Find 7 phone and after the OTA upgraded the system to 1.2.2i, when I tried to install the root file and it failed to install.
Installation Failed
No luck. Failed at the zip file installation part. Please let me know if you have any solution. Thanks. Cheers.:cyclops:

I'm having the same problem. When installing the zip from Oppo Recovery, it fails immediately every time. Tried both the Find7_ROOT4.3 and the Find7_GSM4.3 files. Any suggestions?
I think that after the update to 1.2.2i, the root might not work anymore. For all those that don't have it working, can you confirm if you have the 1.2.2i Rom version?
Sent from my X9076 using XDA Free mobile app
Good news!
I have found the Rooting method and instructions for Rom version 1.2.2i
It should work for every Oppo Find 7 and 7a (not confirmed) with any system (till 1.2.2i at least).
In the end system, bootloader and recovery will be intact - > stock rooted.
WORKING ON: x9077, x9076, x9006 (confirmed by #Oiler)
(NOTE):
Android SDK is required (which gives ADB and FASTBOOT files), if you have these files already on your computer, then you can just download TWRP, STOCK RECOVERY (oppo), and SUPERSU.
All the files are located below:
Preparation:
1. Phone with at least 30% battery.
2. Install Oppo drivers from "OPPO Driver" phone partition.
3. Download and unzip: AndroidSDKSlim - https://mega.co.nz/#!SEhFXbzL!Xy4PrX_NKFnAZvPaggQL-1Vw1PESzRCyqXiPrMlvWVM
4. Download: TWRP - https://mega.co.nz/#!gF0GhBzT!HGaWCcQfqr_ns2z7ZEIeeF-0KvXFliEOAFZ_Z-wHcdw and put it in "platform-tools" folder wich u get from zip above. (img file)
5. Download: Stock Recovery - https://mega.co.nz/#!rVQWXKhD!Ljy9pw_sy0VlKzxqJwuD4UoZGMwF_dOmOYWgR1mMRc4 Mod or Stock Recoveryhttp://ge.tt/2EQ5h2m1/v/0?c *2 and put it in "platform-tools" folder. (img file)
6. Download: SuperSU - http://download.chainfire.eu/451/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.01.zip?retrieve_file=1 and put it on phone internal storage. (do not unpack)
Changing Recovery Menu:
1. Turn Off phone.
2. Press Volume UP + Power
3. Now u should see small discription on screen: fastboot
5. Plug the phone to PC.
4. Open command prompt inside "platform-tools" folder -> press SHIFT + Right Mouse Click, pick open command prompt here.
5. Write:
Code:
fastboot devices
6. You should see:
Code:
"your phone product code" Dartmoor
7. If you don't see your device listed, make sure drivers are installed properly. Next, write:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-x9077.img
after few second you should see OKAY. (No need to turn off phone) *1
Rooting the phone:
1. Power off the phone.
2. Hold volume DOWN and the POWER button to get into the TWRP Recovery.
3. Pick install and find the SuperSU zip file, confirm the flash.
4. Reboot the phone. (cash and davlik wipe not nessesary)
5. Phone is now rooted. (Check if there is working SuperSU app. Update binary if needed.)
Restoring stock Recovery Menu:
1. Power off the phone.
2. Press Volume UP + Power
3. Open command prompt on your PC inside "platform-tools" folder -> press SHIFT + Right Mouse Click, pick open command prompt here.
4. Write:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery x9077-official-recovery-mod.img
after few second you should see OKAY.
5. REBOOT, or turn off phone by pressing POWER for 3 sec.
6. Check Recovery Menu (Volume DOWN + Power)
____________________________________________________________________
NOTES:
*1 turning off after installing Recovery Mod is unnecessary, this is because the phone won't startup automatically into the installed Recovery Mod.
*2 Stock Recovery is provided as genuine by #Zeus (Oppo Official Staff). The other one - Stock Recovery Mod is provided by #Kedros which have removed checking of Oppo system (provides possibility to install custom files like roms or SuperSU etc.). #Kedros confirmed that OTA update is still available on it.

Yes. Mine is 1.2.2i
Same for me on the version number. 1.2.2I I was hoping the process would be easier. Oh well.
The link to the TWRP recovery is down. I tried to download it in every possible way, but I always get an error. WHen I click download once I get to MEGA, it is saying "temporary error, retrying". Please fix, thanks.
Edit - NM working now, thanks just in case you fixed it.
Edit - Rooted phone, left TWRP on if I ever go to CM11s. Had to do a few things diffrent than what you said, but got it to work. Thanks

Total newbie. Could you explain preparation step 2 to me? (2. Install Oppo drivers from "OPPO Driver" phone partition.)
Will this method work with version 1.2.3i?
Many thanks.
Hey, yes the method should work for the most recent version as well. When you plug in your phone to you pc, it prompts you install the drivers from OPPO, just continue and install them.
If you don't see "Developer Options" in your settings ( in "More" ) then go into "About Phone" and click on "Build number" 5 times until you receive a message indicating that developer options is enabled.
Then plug in your phone and see if the drivers get updated. This process has been tested to work on Windows 7.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your help.
Though I'm pretty sure I've followed your instructions to the letter the phone would fail to install the update.SuperUser file so I can't get to get it rooted.
Any idea, suggestion, tip etc, will be much appreciated.
Thanks
How far were you able to get to? Any errors or freezing? What version of Rom are you on?

Just going to dump all the info I've found about this device into this thread. All the threads pertaining to this thread are in Russian and I can't read Russian, so this might be helpful to any English speaking owners of this tablet.
Special thanks to Telegram user @SSDD_1744 (don't know your XDA/Reddit user, I'm sorry) for basically spoonfeeding me all these instructions!
WARNING: If you need to flash to stock for whatever reason, be sure to download a image file specific to your country. If you don't, you'll hard brick your device that can only be fixed QPST (supposedly).
Rooting:
(Tested on 5.0.2)
Install KingRoot. Let it root your device.
Install Super-SU Me, to get rid of the bloatware that comes with KingRoot.
Installing Xposed:
I used Flashify to flash TWRP. Be sure to flash the right version though (2.8.7.7 v2) or else you won't be able to mount cache.
Then download Xposed (version sdk21 ARM) and flash it.
WARNING: Flash v1 of the modded TWRP and you won't be able install any apps after flashing Xposed.
Unbricking:
Still working on it. Downloaded QPST but have not been able to get QPST 2.7 to read the tablet.

If you want to open the engineering menu, type " * # * # 4636 # * # * "
To boot into fastboot, restart/turn on the device and hold volume up. It'll pop you into a menu with three options.
To boot into recovery, from the fastboot screen (three options), use the volume buttons and navigate to the second option "factory reset" and hit power to confirm. It'll boot into recovery.
=====================================================================================
Recommended way to flash ROMs:
1) Download TWRP. Use adb to boot (NOT flash) into TWRP. Flash ROM there.
2) use KingRoot to root. Use Flashify to flash the ROM.

I see that Lineage OS is supported on Z380KL. However, I found the wiki spec showing Snapdragon 410, but I found Z380KL in Asia with Snapdragon 615. Before I commit, I'd like to know if anyone knows whether LineageOS is fully compatible with Z380KL with Snapdragon 615 chipsets? Thanks.

Flashing TWRP on 6.0.1 (Sept 1, 2016 patch):
1) grab your drivers (W10: boot into "no driver signature verification mode" to install the drivers needed for fastboot)
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1cGcoDCvmTxfXWNTG0iOXHw1WScmYBrKS
2) turn on debugging
3) type in "adb devices", verify that your computer sees your tablet (if you don't have ADB/Fastboot, get https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790)
4) type in "adb reboot bootloader"
5) you'll see three options: 1. Enter SD DL mode, 2. Factory Reset, 3. Exit update mode
6) type in "fastboot devices", verify that your computer sees your tablet
7) grab your TWRP file (http://vasy.ru/TWRP/P024/) and type in "fastboot flash recovery [replace w/ location of the TWRP file].img"
8) once it says "finished", click factory reset mode (use volume buttons to navigate, power button to enter)
9) it should reboot into TWRP, slide to allow modifications
10) Boom, TWRP is installed.
OPTIONAL, BUT HELPS TO KEEP TWRP INSTALLED: Flash Magisk.
That way, stock recovery won't overwrite TWRP when you reboot.
IF YOU WANT TO KEEP TWRP BUT DON'T WANT Magisk:
1) After first boot into TWRP, turn off tablet.
2) Then turn on and hold Volume Up + Power. That will boot you into Bootloader Mode.
3) Go into factory reset and it should boot you into TWRP.
Now, it's safe to boot into the OS.
(TL;DR: Boot into TWRP twice before booting into the OS or else stock recovery will overwrite TWRP.)
Flashing LineageOS:
1) DL LOS from https://download.lineageos.org/P024
2) DL GApps from http://opengapps.org/ (choose 7.1)
3) boot into TWRP
4) go into Wipe, slide to wipe
5) go to Install, click on LOS file > add to queue, click on Open GApps file > add to queue, flash
6) wait til it's done, click "reboot"
7) wait a while (took mine 3 or so minutes to boot)
8) enjoy!

probably not. I think it's only compatible with the SD 410.

Thanks for the tutorial, I had already dared to flash twrp recovery before you wrote this tutorial...
I believe my bootloader is still locked. And I could not reproduce/ write exactly what I did. But, in my case, just for information, when I want to go back into twrp, I can boot into bootloader (power volume up) and then option 2 reset the device gives me the twrp... I am not sure if that is how you get it, but for me, I still had twrp.
I think i will install magisk after reading your post.

I don't think unlocking the BL is necessary for flashing LOS. But yes, that's how I get into TWRP as well.
Hello I'm new in the forum and I write from Italy, yesterday unfortunately I had the brilliant idea to downgrade my Asus z380kl through ADB, Fastboot and TWRP from pc so far so good, I go to flash the new rom and gives me error, I try to restore the backup here too error result? Tablet locked the only way to make it recognize to the PC is with ASUS FLASH TOOL ROM problem in format.raw unobtainable not even on the Russian site. Any good soul has the possibility to let me download it? Thanks, Sorry English but it is a translation of the very useful Google translate.

Can you still access fastboot, then at least you can flash twrp as described before in this thread and install from twrp lineageos p024 (lineage-14.1-20180105-nightly-P024-signed.zip) and Open gapps to get google playstore etc , select Arm, (not 64) then version 7.1, then Pico would work.
If you have twrp, you at least can still use your asus... I have found no way to flash original stock... stock must not be flashed from twrp.
Since you mention twrp already used, you can try: turn your device off, then press volume up then the bootloader menu comes, select 2: reset to enter twrp(where it says reset. if you had flashed twrp, that is how you can get into twrp) from there, install lineage os and gapps from micro sd card
My rom is MMB29M.WW_P024-V5.9.4-20170613

I assume this is on stock rom ? What version of magisk would work? I found I can be back at stock with my twrp backup so ..
But magisk 15.3 zip failed to install on stock-
I also used supersu v82 working on stock, or lineageos.
Would you know what magisk works on lineageos?
I like the exsd extension of magisk so I would like to try it on this device, either stock or lineageos

Yes it was. I flashed 15.2 on both stock and LOS. I've heard of some issues with 15.x so you can try .2 or 14.x.

What error was given? What do you see when you connect it to a computer? What does "tablet locked" mean? Would help if you gave some pictures too.
I'm currently in the process of getting the RAW files/service ROMs for AFT but I don't have an ETA on when I'll be able to get that.
No on the tablet I have not installed TWRP and no other recovery. When I go into the original recovery of the tablet there is always the screen with the lock closed at the bottom right and there is no way to show it to the PC even with adb sideload, l 'only program that recognizes me the tablet is Asus flash tool, however, as I have already written the damn ROM in RAW format is untraceable.

[How-to] Root stock 4.4.2 version L710VPUDOH1

I recently decided to pick up my old Samsung Galaxy S3 which I no longer use as a daily phone (love my Huawei and Moto G) and give it some updated love. I first updated it with stock L710VPUDNJ2 tar package with Odin3 v3.10.0
After successful update, I noticed I had lost root but in addition, the phone booted up with additional system update package which I accepted and successfully updated to L710VPUDOH1
I tried previous root methods but none of them worked for me (included CF-auto root, and also trying to push CWMS3 package through Odin etc.). So I decided to try Kingroot 4.9.3 which rooted the device but I do not like Kingroot so I then flash TWRP 3.0.2 through flashify, uninstalled Kingroot, and pushed SuperSU zip package through TWRP recovery and now I have a rooted stock L710VPUDOH1
Here are the step by step (assumes you already have ADB/minimal ADB, and Samsung drivers installed on your PC):
1. Download the Odin zip, L710VPUDOH1 tar, UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.00 zip, and twrp-3.0.2-0-d2spr img files onto your desktop. Transfer the twrp img file onto your phone internal or SD card storage
2. Extract the Odin zip package and have the unzip folder on your desktop for convenience
3. Run Odin3 as administrator
4. Start up your Galaxy S3 in download mode (vol down+Home+Pwr) and connect it to your PC with USB cable. Verify connect on Odin as it shows it connected with a COM port number
5. Make sure "Auto reboot" and "Reset time" is checked (by default they are checked). Check the AP box and click on AP and find the downloaded L710VPUDOH1 tar file, select it, and click OK. Then click Start button on Odin3
6. Once updated is successful, your phone should reboot and also the dialog box on the lower left corner of Odin should state update was successful
7. You should receive an OTA message on your phone regarding System Update Available (make sure your are on Wi-Fi or reliable data connection). Accept the update. Phone will update and reboot (you are now running L710VPUDOH1)
8. Download and install Kingroot from the following website (using your phone browser): http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/kingro...elease/kingroot-4-9-3-2-android-apk-download/
9. Run the app package (Avast Security and possibly other antivirus apps may give warning). It will install Kingroot and another app call Purify
10. Root your phone using Kingroot. You will get a pop up message regarding Knox. Tap on "Deny"
11. Go to Google Play Store and download and install Flashify. Run Flashify and grant permission with Kingroot. Flash the twrp img file (you now have custom recovery)
12. Uninstall Purify app (using the stock app manager on your phone) and uninstall Kingroot by going into Kingroot, then Settings (on the upper right hand corner), and scroll all the way down to the bottom and select "Uninstall Kingroot". After uninstall you will lose root
13. After uninstall, turn off your phone and boot into Recovery (vol up+Home+PWR). Your phone should boot into TWRP recovery. Now install the SuperSu zip file using TWRP to inject root back into your system
14. Reboot your phone. Go to Google Play Store to update to the latest SuperSU version (2.65) and then go to SuperSu to update the binary and reboot
15. You now have a rooted stock 4.4.2 version L710VPUDOH1. Use your program of choice to debloat and remove system apps (I personally use System App Remover by Jumobile)
I am NOT RESPONSIBLE for any brick devices and/or voided warranties. Always proceed with caution and read and re-read instructions carefully. This is just one simple man's experience. I have attached some of the necessary files (some files cannot be included due to size limits) if you do not want to download them directly from other sites.

No need for Kingroot. Just boot into download mode, flash TWRP with Odin, pull battery before the S3 reboots, boot into TWRP, flash SuperSU, reboot system, profit!

I tried this method and I was not successful. When I try to flash the TWRP .tar image with Odin, it would stall and get stuck. If this works for others, that's great. That's why I ended up trying the Kingroot approach.

put TWRP installation into Odin installer as first and then you will need to go into recovery mode in your phone, having the ROM.zip file placed in your internal/external memory, open the directory and flash the ROM wait until process is done and then install google apps from recovery mode.
It says FAIL after installing ROM in TWRP
