not getting volte even after update! - Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus Questions & Answers

as the title says i flashed stock rom through qfil and updated to S105 through ota. Now the updating went smooth and there is enhance 4g option availble but still no volte. I tried turning it off and on but still nothing happens. i even directly flashed the S105 firmware through qfil but same result. pls someone help me.

I have enhance option after update. But I have not tried the option. It is still on. In my location there is no LTE network with volte support. So I can't tell if our phone really support volte. As it is my father's phone, I can't take the phone to nearby places where a LTE network is available.

Enabling VOLTE in Android Nougat

Im using @flashallthetime Stock Nougat Rom. I was using VOLTE earlier before i ran into an area where the Network wasnt available for Jio Network Provider. When i got back to the place where network is available, I found my APN to be missing, so i googled it and create an apn with 'jionet' and that enabled 4G over the network. However I cant seem to find the option to enable VOLTE. I tried using the Testing module *#*#4636#*#* and turning on VOLTE provision flag. But that flag turns off the moment i get back to another screen. I set it on and then restarted the device to find Enhanced VOLTE option in settings, but it wasnt there so i checked the VOLTE provision flag again, and it was turned off. Why would it turn off? How do i enable it? I assume it was working earlier in the @flashallthetime s stock rom, so the rom wouldnt be an issue. What is then?
To Enable VoLTE follow these steps:
Go to settings->more->Cellular Network->Enable enhanced 4G Lte mode

3UK supervoice

Hi i was just wondering for the people who have bought this phone on the 3UK network are any of you getting 4g supervoice (Volte)
because whenever i make a call the phone drops to 3g to make the call and then goes back to 4g after finishing the call. I have been intouch with 3 support but they dont seem to understand my question. Also i cannot find anything in settings to enable enhanced 4g calling so it seems this is not implemented at least not in my phone.
The Three version of the software does not have any settings (that I can find) for 4G Supervoice. I believe the generic ROM has VOLTE settings though. You can check on the Three website to see if you are in a Supervoice area and that's all I can find. http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/network/4G-Supervoice
I suppose as far a Three are concerned it just works.
It never worked from day one.
I then updated to the stock ROW nougat and I now have the settings for VOLTE but it still doesn't work.
Following the guide through their site shows my phone is compatible and I am in a super voice area. But clicking the link to download a software update doesn't show up anything useful.

I'm hoping you can help me I cannot update to nougat using the official nougat firmware through stock recovery method. I know I've done everything right naming the package to update.zip. when I get to install from zip I get an error can't because of card is encrypted but it is not I've formatted and tried 4 times don't know where I'm going wrong.

Format it on a laptop/PC and download the update with a PC too as the phone encrypts the sd card.

I can't see volte settings on my phone. I am on EE so not sure if supported and maybe why its not in settings?
So now I have managed to update successfully to nougat and also volte has shown up properly.
Hmmm. I wonder why mine isn't working then!?
Make sure you check notification center, status bar icons and ensure volte is ticked.
Sent from my Lenovo P2a42 using Tapatalk
Yes I checked that and it was enabled.
I've since done a factory reset and seen the icon appear a couple of times so that seems to have sorted it!
I don't have an icon to turn on or volte in settings but must only show if your network supports it. Ee do but only a handful of handsets are supported so guess that's why I don't see it.
I have discovered how it works. It won't show up everywhere only when your in a volte area and your signal is bad it will come on. Yesterday in Milton Kenyes where at Friends house my signal was bad it was on all the time but today where I live I haven't seen it on once.
Last night briefly for about 5min i had volte notification at home where ive never seen it before.

No signal, No network, YES Imei

Hi everyone, good morning
I pose this problem ...
I updated my GT-N7100 from the stock version 4.4.2 to 7.1 RR, which is why the phone was no longer lit. The Samsung word appeared looping at its ignition and no reset options worked.
All after the battery suddenly abandoned me!
After the upgrade, unfortunately the mobile network is no longer detected, or rather, the phone does not hook up the signal even if mobile networks are detected (select networks, Vodafone, Tim, Wind, Tre).
If I try to hook my network manually (Tim), the error is the inability to record.
I checked IMEI and is present, and, as mentioned above, networks if you look manually are seen.
I've downgraded to version 4.2.2 to figure out if the problem was about rom, but even with this version the network is not hooked up.
I also tried with other sim, but nothing in fact.
Unfortunately the backup I made did not go well and did not save the files in the EFS folder .... the badge sees us well !!!!!
Do you have any suggestions?
I also tried to reflect the rom Viper, but no change in the network ...
What other tests could I do? Thank you all!

A5 dual drops cellular connectivity

Hi
I have an A5 2017 dual sim. It has THR CSC code, but I use it in Hungary. Recently I got the new SW update over OTA (A520FXXU4BRAB) which made the phone tottaly unsuble in terms of the cellular connectivity. It hardly connects to LTE network, if it does, sometimes the mobile data is not working altough it show that it's connectetted and data are downloaded/uploaded. After a while it drops completetly the cellular network, can't reconnect for a while. So not just the mobile data are not working but i cannot even make/recceive any phone calls. If I force to use only 2G network at least phone calls can be made. For me it seems that the handover between mobile stations (or switching between 4.5G/4G/3G) is not working properly.
I had no such issues with the previuous SW (A520FXXU3BQL4). I did the 'wipe cache' - no result. Then full factory reset but still no result.
Since it's a dual sim phone, I switched the data connectivity to the another SIM (not just another SIM, but different carrier), but the symptomps are the same.
Do anyone has some idea what could I do?
Is it possible to downgrade the previous SW with Odin? I have downloaded the SW from sammobile but I don't dare to flash it.
There is no root on the phone, only original Samsung FWs were used, knox is active.
Thank for your kind help.
I have found a very similar problem description in the S6 forum ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...-network-data-connection-drops-t3097605/page7 )
Has anyone experienced this on A5?

Question Not able to call and not receiving calls

My POCO F3 8GB/256GB suddenly not letting me call anyone (Says mobile network not available) or pick up any calls but mobile network and texting is working completely fine. I've rebooted the phone multiple times, disabled volte, reinstalled google carrier services and still nothing so I had no choice but to factory reset the phone but that didn't work too. Currently using MIUI 13.0.9 and hoping there's a way to fix this asap.

Use miui flash tool to reset your phone to he miui version it came from. If it does ot work then, it's a hardware problem.

I'll try doing the MIUI Flash method. I hope it's not a hardware problem because everything was working fine and I only realised few days ago it started to not work
Check with other sim. If problem remains check different network modes 2G/3G/LTE.

So I've tried using 2 different sim cards (One of them being the same carrier as the sim that's not letting me make or receive calls on the F3) and so far those sims are working fine with the phone . Also tried putting the not "working" sim on other devices and it seems to work fine so I'm not really sure what's the problem here. As soon as I put the sim card back on the F3 it works for a moment then completely stops letting me call and receive calls.
Try changing network modes.

That method also didn't work
did you try downgrading to 13.0.8.0 fw? could be a defective modem driver
Try manual network selection. If fails probably hardware.

I'm getting Location unavailable too on Firmware 13.0.9, revert back to Firmware 13.0.8, and the location is okay again. Maybe you can revert to Firmware 13.0.8, don't think too far first.
Try to enable volte and vowifi. I had the same problem to my device and it is working
