Samsung Smart View - Can I turn off phone display while mirroring? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Questions & Answers

I've been searching for a couple days now and haven't found any answers. What I am trying to say is with the s7 active there is already the option for "smart view" in the pull down menu. That allows me to mirror my phone directly to my Samsung smart tv via wifi with a push of 1 button. I see no option to have my phone screen off while still mirroring is my problem. I basically want to mirror to my TV while watching a movie from my phone, but have my phone screen off, there is no reason to have both displays on for 2 hours. Does this option exist or is there a fix to accomplish this power saving feat? Thanks for reading. Have a good day. :fingers-crossed:

[Q] Stay on indefinitely

I bought a tabpro 12.2 to use in my office. It will be used for patients to register for events through our office website. The main problem I am running into is that the max amount of time before the tab shuts off is 30 minutes.
Problem 1: I need it to stay on indefinitely without going to black screen
Problem 2: Would like to know if you are able to use a customized screen saver. Such as a screen with a picture saying "Register Here" and then when they swipe it opens up to the page I want.
I tried searching the forum and online but can't find anything that is helpful. Sorry, I am a newbie at this so if I left out any information or if you need clarification please let me know.
I very much appreciate any help you can give!
For problem 1. Are you rooted? You could try Tasker and secure settings. That might do what you want.

There is an app called Wakey in the app store that will let you keep the screen on indefinitely. Install, Open, touch the light bulb. The screen stays on after you leave the app as long as you want. A notification in your status bar will remind you is in so you can go back and turn it off
You can tell the tablet not to sleep while charging by going to the developer options in settings. This menu is usually hidden by default so to enable it go to settings - about tablet and tapping on the build number 7 times. It should then have a message that developer options are enabled, you should see the developer options just above the about tablet in the list. There is an option in there to keep the tablet awake when charging

HTCI a One M9 -- Screen mirroring and debug mode

Last week my girlfriend got upset and her HTC screen met the dashboard in the car rendering it shattered and unusable. I have been searching for a way to mirror the screen to either my PC (win 10) or my TV so that I can navigate around the phone to save different things as well as connect a bluetooth watch so that she can see who is calling and texting. Through my online research I have found ways to do it but I need to have "usb debugging" enabled on the phone, which it is not. I am hoping that someone here may have a recommendation so that I can either screen mirror to the TV without being able to access anything on the phone via the screen or a way to activate the usb debugging so that I can use a PC app to access the phone remotely. Appreciate any and all feedback!

Display pinned note on always on display?

Right now when I pin a note to the always on display, it is minimized, and when I double tap it, it doesn't show up under the clock and stay there, it takes up the whole screen. Does anybody know how to get the note to sit underneath the clock?
Yes this! why! Theres a vid on youtube of the feature being showed off, and the pinned note sits under a clock, but on my international model the pinned note is full screen >.<
Just received an update for AOD and works like in the advertisement videos.
New version is 1.7.29
You'll have to go into Settings > Display > Always On Display.
Then press 'About Always On Display'.
There will be a button to update Always On Display.
After the update, you'll be able to have your notes pinned under the date/time like the videos.
You are a god. Thank you! I had assumed these things would automatically update with the phone.
Do you know if there's anything else you have to update manually like this?

Screen Mirroring problem

Hi guys, why I can't see the button top right to enable wireless display?
Noticed that as well when swiping down and not finding the wifi or bt icons to enable them. I also noticed that when i plugged the phone on t o charge the charging icon in the battery displayed that it was charging. Then when i went to pull down the USB connecting options drop down menu it wasnt there. Then once it did appear it was on the last option i used "transfering pics" instead of defaulting to "charging" like every other phone ive ever owned.
How can I fix it?
Wireless display is not officially supported by Google, so you won't find it in our phone. The only option is Google Cast (to Chromecast).
