Crackling - Wileyfox Swift - LineageOS Questions & Answers

Hi, I'm not asking for an ETA but I was told that Cracking would get official Lineage OS and have been waiting for it for ages, somebody told me the build failed in Jenkins or something and I wouldn't be getting it. Basically I just want to know if I'll be getting the official build at all. It is listed as getting Lineage,. Should I continue to wait excited or give up hope haha? Any help is appreciated thanks guys.

They are still rolling out the initial builds. If your device is on the list, you should not be concerned, just patient.

It was one of the first build and the build is broken:
https://jenkins.lineageos.org/job/android/21/
https://jenkins.lineageos.org/job/android/22/
Nobody correct this for now
The last three cm13 "weeklys" also broken, and nobody fix it

Some phones don't have experimental because have changes that it's mandatory wipe data but seems that this week none of the phone builds have an experimental....

If I take a look at the first link Bastlwastl2010 posted above, i guess there should be an experimental for the swift. Unfortunately it was broken last week

USB OTG?

[Q] Does anyone know what's up with CM 12.1 Nightly for E980?

Guys,
Please let me know if anyone has any information about latest CM 12.1 nightly for e980. The last build was taken on 0601 and nothing after that.

My only guess is the maintainer is on vacation or had an emergency of some sort.
The latest build is pretty decent IMO. We will just have to wait and see when an update comes. It will come most likely. They could be trying to iron out major bugs they overlooked or something. We just have to wait and see what happens.

Actually, I always try to build it locally and it's is broken. It says 'touchpanel_sysfs is undefined'.
I realize that it's in these 3 files, which gets generated during compilation (I guess)
cm12.1/out/target/product/e980/obj/ETC/sepolicy_intermediates/policy.conf
cm12.1/out/target/product/e980/obj/ETC/sepolicy_intermediates/policy.conf.dontaudit
cm12.1/out/target/product/e980/obj/ETC/sepolicy.recovery_intermediates/policy_recovery.conf
After defining the variable, the compilation went smooth and I got the build. BUT my phone would not boot with it. I had to roll back to the previous working build.
So, I'm guessing it's nothing to do with any major change or update.
Anyways, if anyone could build the latest code and get it working on their phone, I'm very much interested in knowing how

Official Build for CM13

How many of us are interested in having an official build of CM13 in our equipment?

1st I'd post this in Q&A and not development.
2nd as long as we have somebody "maintaining" the unofficial builds (poisonNinja) I'm happy with unofficial. Especially since there were bugs even in snapshot builds of cm12.1 like low in call volume and broken audio during 3d applications which were never fixed (as of 17/12/15. This was the last build I tried). It would be good if we get automated builds but I wouldn't sacrifice stability and functionality for this (i.e. necessary cherry picks and fixes).
It more easy if the developers have a official build

i do lol, currently using asop 6.0 rom, constantly reboot for some reason
It would be nice, N7105 stills does everything I need, there is not much reason to update to something newer.

thank you, I am also waiting to test the CM13 in my phone, thanks for the support:good::good:
N7100 still got CM11. Is the only version of Note 2 with CM11.
Even S2 got official CM13 now... (I don't want to live on this planet anymore)

Someone have news ??

Has anyone gotten Signal to work on M9 Nougat

Trainwr3ck was trying to build RR Nougat for HTC One m9, everything was perfect but there is no signal (as in you don't receive data and calls). Something is very broken with the interface library that's available and it's beyond trainwr3ck and my knowledge of android.
Can someone more familiar with android help us out?
(Only trainwr3ck has logs (I think) so you'll have to wait for him)
Thanks :good:

I am not an Android expert as well, but can you provide me with a build.prop? I just want to check something, I had that Problem with an unofficial CM13 and the reason were some missing build.prop values. Maybe it's that easy as well

Thanks for your input, unfortunately only trainwr3ck has that stuff, I haven't tested the ROM on my phone so you'll have to wait for him to come online, I'll get it to you as soon as possible.
Hopefully it is that easy, maybe android 7.1 is just a couple of hours away...
Thanks

I contacted a recognised slim ROM dev and he hasn't figured it out yet either, I told them to try out what you guys said though
Well for my unofficial build I found out that these values weren't added: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_htc_himaul/blob/cm-12.1/system.prop although they exist in the device tree. After I added them myself, my build was able to receive signal

Oh sorry for being not clear. It was for an older cm13 built, where i had something similiar happening. Not switched my build tree to cm 14.1 yet..

I forwarded this to Trainwr3ck.
I so hope this works, if nothing works then we might need to wait for an official ROM from HTC to come out for the M9 (that isn't too far away so it's not all bad)
Thanks :good:
Not Beamed in by telepathy
Update: it's not just the M9 that had this problem, the m8 team had the same problem and I've asked them how they did it
even i could help u guys but only if i get logs to work with and see whats wrong

I tried getting the logs but the link to the RIM isn't working any more so I can't download it, it'd be nice if someone could upload it again
This is a pointless thread without work on Cyanogenmod's device tree for the M9, hope we see that soon but until that happens there is no need to talk about nougat for the M9.

Maybe we can make it work, when HTC is rolling out the official Nougat update an grab a precompiled version of the ril libraries, that might work
Sorry double post

It would be a much better starting point than the non working MM ril, we can only hope that it comes out soon.
HTC just announced Nougat rolling out in the USA for the unlocked M9 in the very near future.. Lets see if we can get this working..

If it was active development when CM closed up, it will most certainly be supported when LineageOS builds start coming out.

could agree more. cant wait to flash new versions again, and "contribute" on forum to help other when having some issues and finding solutions
Thanks.
is there an eta when official build are going to be unleashed?
Sidenote, I've got the lineage is source synced, I just need to find time to add in the Clark repo and see if it'll build. I would expect it to literally just be CM but say lineage instead of CyanogenMod. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. But, if it builds without fussing I'll be sure to post it

Hi, did you test it ?

Official Lineage Os Builds start flowing.

The Robin is the second device with Official Lineageos Builds available.
Go to Lineageos.org
Downloading now
Installing
https://download.lineageos.org/ether
To save some trouble, here's a link to the Nextbit Robin builds.
How's it running for ya?
Literally right after i flash back stock for the nougat beta.... XD
First impressions? Like Gps and fingerprint (no detection when unlocked?) are working correctly?
So... which version should we download? Experimental or Nightly?
Edit: Ok, Experimental builds are made for upgrading from a CM 13/14.1 build to Lineage. You can try it, but there's no guarantee that it will work. So the correct answer to my question is... Install Nightly. (And i will in a few minutes )
Btw, i was surprised our beloved Robin was one of the few first to have support from LineageOS. Thanks LineageOS people! :good::highfive:

Nice video! Definitely cool to see how the ROM runs in realtime. To me, it seems a little rough around the edges compared to stock, so I'll wait for a milestone build or something. Videos like this are super helpful, though, so thank you!
I most say Its not perfect, and it is technically not a first release, however this is definitely a BIG step on the right direction :good:

Mod Please close this thread as I think the official thread in development serves the purpose for LineageOS related
Looks like Lineage OS stopped flowing already
