GET THIS AMAZING APP HERE
Interface
When you launch the app, you get a menu system that lets you choose
one of four options: capture, gallery, collage and share. Diving into each,
the UI is generally what you'd expect. The buttons are self-explanatory,
and you get a regular phone camera-style viewfinder.
Filters
PowerCam offers a decent set of filters, most of which are a bit too over-the-top
for my own taste. You get a standard set of minor filters to lightly tweak the coloring
of the scene that are quite nice, but the rest are a bit out there and I really don't
see many people using them. For the ones that I liked, it seemed to work well enough.
It should also be noted that there is a "no filter" mode for when you have the app open
and want a "regular" shot.
Tilt-Shift
The tilt-shift method, if you're not familiar, is something usually accomplished with
a special camera lens to produce interestingly focused images. The main subject
is sharply in focus, and everything else is quickly out of focus right next to it.
On a smartphone, its all done in post-processing. PowerCam seems to do a pretty
good job, and you can really get some good shots if you spend some time with it.
Panorama
I was surprised by the panorama quality. Using the app on my Galaxy Nexus,
it captured them more consistently and much quicker than the built-in panorama
feature of the Android 4.x camera.
Collages
Something that's going to be very user-dependent is the collage feature.
You can select several pictures you've taken and form them into framed multi-shot pictures.
The UI is friendly enough, just select from your picture list which ones you want,
and it'll arrange them randomly with a frame. You can shuffle the pictures around
and select the frame style, but I was hard-pressed to find frames that I actually enjoyed.
Sharing
PowerCam has built-in sharing functionality to Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr.
Wish that it would use a regular sharing menu and let you use other apps (like Google+),
but it doesn't really matter, as you can share from your Gallery app to anything installed
on your phone after the fact.

you should probably credit the source: androidpolice as you took all their images, writeup, and mirrors
let some of the code junkies here are diving in to this see if they can get some stuff working
Motorola took down mediafire, d-h, and mirrorcreator link. May want to remove them.
The image quality isn't going to change and half the features don't work ... Do people really want that kind of "functionality" just for a different UI ? ... Give me the stock Sense camera any day.

HUAWEI Nova Photo Taking Tips

Photo tip 1: Ultra snapshot
Generally it takes three steps to take a photo — you have to unlock the screen, activate the camera, and then take a photo. This is the conventional way that we all know. Today I'm going to share with you a one-step way to take a photo. Here it is.

You will gain infinite possibilities when you are one step faster than the rest of the world! After setting this mode up, you don't have to unlock the screen when it's turned off. Just point the camera at your subject, and double press the volume down button. You'll be able to capture a memorable moment whenever and wherever.
Photo tip 2: Audio control
Want to take a photo but can't find someone to do it for you? It doesn't matter. Let your voice take the photo for you.
View attachment 4051795View attachment 4051796View attachment 4051797View attachment 4051801View attachment 4051802
Point the camera at the subject and say 'cheese' loudly. The camera will take a photo automatically when it hears this command.
Photo tip 3: Capture smiles
Smiling always puts us in a good mood. A gentle smile is like all the flowers blooming together. How can we let such a beautiful moment pass by! Use the smile snapshot function to capture your beautiful smile! Activate your camera, and when the viewfinder detects a smile it will take a photo automatically.

Photo tip 4: Fingerprint snapshot
You can take a photo with your fingerprint. You don't need both hands to take a photo anymore. Activate your camera then touch and hold the fingerprint sensor to take a photo.

Photo tip 5: Touch to capture
Activate your camera, and touch the screen to take a photo. How about trying this stylish way to take a photo?

After you have turned on touch to capture, you can take a photo by touching any part of the screen in the frame.
Every photo is a personal memory. You are bound to find at least one of these Huawei Nova photo taking tips useful!
Ive changed the camera app for something that gives me really great satisfaction and photos are darn clearer and more simple compare of 3 step snapshot.....

Blurry photos with same shot settings (infinity focus)

I've a problem with Camera and i want to know if it's for all G4 or for only my sample.
When i take photos with same setting (infinity manual focus), some time (most of all) they have blurry effect.
Two photos with same manual setting taken in the same moment:

Apparently they have same definition, but if i 100% crop:

Most of the photos i take have blurry effect, just some time they result perfect. The difference is more notable in landscape photos (with infinity focus) in the top left corner.
Do you have same problem?
up
You can't take pictures holding the camera and not encounter some movement, it's not physically possible and even with the OIS enabled that's just a stop-gap measure that does it's best to make sure the effects of slight jarring movement at the moment you press the button to take the picture are mitigated as much as possible.
tl;dr You're moving the camera if you're holding it, plain and simple.
Take pictures with the phone either set against something so you're not holding it and the phone is actually as steady as it can possibly be - use the voice command option to fire the shutter (turn it on and say "LG" or "Kimchi" or one of the other choices") so you don't have to manually touch the G4 at all to any degree whatsoever and then fire off a few shots and compare them.
The OIS isn't perfect and if you're timing a shot with a movement of the camera you're bound to get blurriness - the only absolutely sure way of getting steady crystal clear shots is shooting from a steady mount on a tripod or with the phone standing against a solid object and using the voice command to trigger the shutter.
OIS was reall invented to help as much as it can because most pics are taken while holding the camera and no human being is getting going to be able to be perfectly motionless in that respect. If you're holding the smartphone, period, in any position for any reason, you're moving it and your images will suffer because of it even with OIS working as well as it can.
Thanks for the answer, the problem is not the movement of the phone while shooting. I did several tests with tripodi and bluetooth remote control and the result did not change.
From various tests I've made I noticed that the problem only occurs when the focus is made with the tap on the display. Leaving focus continuos the possibility to take clear photo Is greater

Best Camera Features of the Honor 8X

Best Camera Features of the Honor 8X
The Honor 8X's camera is way better than other shooters in the same price range. Try these features to get the most out of your Honor 8X camera.
1. Aperture Mode
The trick to creating a great wide aperture effect is having a phone with a great camera and software that can accurately differentiate background object from foreground objects. The AI NPU chipset makes all the difference in this area. The phone's ability to identify different objects and and use the dual-cameras to recognize depth, means the Honor 8X can create extremely effective aperture mode effects. Get creative with this mode and see what kind of shots your can get.

2. Portrait
Portrait mode is done extremely well on this phone. If it's your first time using portrait mode, know that it's basically your phone detecting the outline of your head/body and blurring the background. The quality of this popular effect comes down to your phone being able to accurately trace your face and remove it from the backdrop.
The Honor 8X''s large 16MP selfie camera lets you take really detailed selfies that look amazing. Try out the portrait mode with your selfie camera and you're going to be really impressed with the results.
3. AI Mode
AI mode was the main feature advertised in this phone. Toggle it on and try it out. It can really bring out the color in some of your shots. If you don't like the way the effect looks, you can toggle it off afterwards in your galley. I have this feature toggled on at all times, since there's really no reason not to. Your original image is always preserved without the AI, so you can get rid of it later on.
4. Video Format (H.265) (H.264)
You can choose the format in which your videos are encoded. You have the option of H.265 or H.264. The H.265 option will give you a more compressed video resulting in a smaller file size. The H.264 option is a less compressed format and will have slightly higher quality video.
Go to Video > Settings > Video Size > Format. to access this option.
5. Edit Your Camera Menu
With all the different camera modes built into the default camera app, it's nice to be able to customize which modes your have quick access to.
From your camera app, go to More > Edit then you can rearrange all of your different camera modes.
