HTC 10 charger not work, auto turn off after plug in 3 seconds. - HTC 10 Accessories

Hello you guys, I just bought an HTC 10 yesterday. And my stock charger has problem. When I plug in, its only charge about 3s ( On my phone, notice connect fast charge also appear ) then auto turn off. Led turn to orange, and turn off after 3s too. I tried to put another charger from my LG with 5v-1,8A, and its ok. With my charger, I tried with many others phone, and its still ok too. I'm wondering the problem comes from my HTC 10 or my charger and type-C cable? Anyone have the same problem with me? Pls help me :crying::crying: I bought this phone from an user and it doesn't have warranty, I'll buy Anker charger which support QC 3.0 but now I'm so confused. Give me your advice.. Sr for bad English.

Here is my stock charger, I think it's original

So the charger works with other phones and other chargers work with your 10? Very odd. It doesn't sound like a firmware issue, try a hard reset and make sure there's nothing in the ports. At least you can charge it with another cable until you resolve it.

Thank you, finally I've found the reason came from my charger. It only works with devices which not have Fast charge technology. Yesterday I tried with Samsung S6's charger, and my HTC 10 has no problem. Battery from 13%-46% in 20 mins. I'll test again with charger which has QC 3.0 ^^ Have a nice day buddy.

Ah that makes sense! Glad you got to the bottom of it.

The stock cable is bad, I've tried several cables and the one that works the best is this one

Phone using more power than charger can provide most of the time.

Hello, as the title suggests , my HTC One X is using more power than the charger can provide, even when idle.
When the phone is on, it doesn't charge unless the screen is off, and even then it is very slowly. Almost we whenever I turn the screen on it starts to discharge when plugged in. I am using the standard 1000mah charger.
It only used to do that when I was playing 3d games (only the highest).
I am using ARHD 7.1.0 and faux 004b6.
Please help, this is hard to live with
After I wiped battery stats and had it on for about 10 minutes (started on 5%).

Mine did this when I was charging on the computer via USB but I think it was due to the fact USB is only 500mA i think and the cable I had was like 2 meters in lenght so wasnt expecting much. Are you using the USB you got with it?

Use the original cable and see what happens, most 2m cables are very inefficient.

When you play a fairly intensive game like minecraft and try to charge it then yes it will take longer to charge. For the quickest charging time use the official plug and cable and have the phone turned off.
Looks like it was the cable, the metal inside had gone all black I don't know why. Thanks for the help.

Optimus G breaking chargers

Hey guys. So my Optimus G has gone through three different chargers now. The LG one that comes with the phone, a Samsung one, and a rocketfish one. The LG one being the first I used. I know it's not the outlet cause I charge my nexus 7 on the same one.
The LG and rocketfish chargers broke when I tried to charge my phone from being completely drained. The Samsung one just kinda stopped working. All three of them maintain a flat line charge if Im not using my phone. But once I start using my phone, it continues to drain even though it's plugged in.
You can see what I mean at the end of the graph. Its was plugged in for 45 mins.
Have any of you had this problem or have seen it? And any idea what's going on?

I've had this problem as well. Just went through the LG charger so I switched to an old blackberry one I had kicking around. It's been working so far, maybe 4 months or so. It's also nice because it has a substantially longer cord than the standard usb cable out of the box.

***charging issue n7100 | experience#2 [resolved]

Hi Guys,
Got a problem here. This will be my 2nd Note2 after sending it back to Samsung couple of months ago. It was charging this morning and tonight after a long day of work, I decided to play some game on it. Noticed that the battery is on 15% I decided to charge it. After 30mins I checked the status of the battery and to my amaze it was not charging! I tried 3 different cables, 2 different chargers, and none of them works. Tried my cables and chargers to a different phones and it does work. I connected my note 2 to my laptop, and it does not recognized it. Tried to charge it while it is turned off, I can see a battery icon, but it does not show the charging battery icon. It will disappear in a few seconds. Please see image below:

It's a rooted phone. Tried to clean the charging port. I even opened it without damaging the warranty sticker, and I can definitely say that there's no moist inside. But just to be sure, I blow it using a hair dryer with the temp off. But with no luck. I used to experienced this a few weeks ago where went back charging after a few minutes. But this time it's worst, it's been an hour and a half and still it is not charging. I can't do a full wipe yet since the battery got 9% left on it.
I know that if it will really not charge, to resolve it..it's either I send it back again to Samsung, replace the board myself (hope it works), or buy an external battery charger. Unless there's more that I can do to fix it.

I did but to my amazed after leaving it alone the whole night, It went back charging again. Yes I am glad that it's working again but I am worried it might happen again sooner or later. I have read some threads with the same issue and with the same outcome, I really want to know what's behind this.
So if its under warranty unroot and monitor

No AC Charging

Please help me to revive my lovely desire.
Problem:
It doesnt matter wich ac adapter i use it only uses usb speed.
I tried flash ChromiumOS yesterday and tried a backup from my old vijendrahs cm10.1 v6.3.
=> It's not the rom.
I used two different batterys...
(But they have only 20% capacity left...)
When did the problem occurs?
I charge my desire with an battery pack and then the battery pack gone flat and a few minutes after this the desire shut down.
Since this incident my desire didn't load in ac mode anymore...

When using GPS and charging in car, phone won't charge?

When I use GPS and want to charge from car charger, phone drops battery percentage, little slower then without a charger, but still dropping. So I thought that the charger is not strong enough, and bought another one with 3.1A, little better but still dropping. Then I try with home charger and no dropping, the GPS is working and battery is charging!
Is that normal, that the car charger can not charge the battery when the phone is in heavy use? The home charger have only 1A, and car 3.1A.
Try NOT using an original HTC cable but instead a generic cable.
I recently purchased an external battery pack to charge my phone while on the move, I thought it would be best to use an original HTC cable but found it was charging to slow, when I checked in settings- power it stated at the top that it wasn't Charging as AC.
I suggest you go to your car and plug in your phone
Then go to: settings - power, check if your phone is charging as AC, if not you'll need to try with another cable ( check screenshot)

I don't use original cable anyway, have other cable in car. Check it and it say AC.
Adapter is this one:
That's really strange mate, I don't have this issue, is there any possibility of trying a different car charger & or cable?, maybe a friend's just to eliminate it as a possibility.
I tried today different things, original htc charger and cable, different charger and cable, and all of that in different car...
The best was with original htc charger and non-original cable. Phone start charging and i think that was that, BUT...
After approximately half an hour, start discharging again, and i think that i accidentally move the cable, but the red charging led was glowing. When checked in power settings, there say "discharging". I disconnect the charger and connect again, start charging but after a minute it stop. Some overheating, maybe?
It sounds like that could be the problem (over heating) maybe you should try a different kernel and undervolt a little to see if it will help.
Ok, I can try, I'm currently on Lyapota's 023 kernel and Viper X 4.1.1, everything else working very well.
I use #017 pre aroma and it runs very cool
Yes, lot's of people says that this version is the best, I would try it.
So, you try to use gps and the phone charging ok with Lyapota 017? Which rom you use?
I have not had any problem using GPS and charging, I use the lates t MaximusHD.
Ok, thanks, will try with 017 and report back.
Edit:
I didn't know that this is a very common problem, that the cable is the one who can't supply enough current. I found many articles about this problem, and found something very interesting on Youtube. Will try this tomorrow and report if it works.
