[Question][X9076]Modem issue - Oppo Find 7 and 7a

Hi guys, I think I have problem with my modem.
Around 3 months ago I bring my phone to Oppo Service Center because I cannot get 4G connection, I can only get 3G or H+.
The technician said that my 4G antenna is broken, it need to be replaced if I want 4G connection (price more than USD 200), I cancel it, because this phone is my daily driver I cannot let it stayed in the service center.
Then the strange things happen, last week I went to Bangkok, I bought sim card, and I get full 4G connection, but after I came back from my trip and use my sim card, it sill can only get 3G or H+.
My sim card was tested in Huawei and Samsung and it get 4G connection, so I don't think my it is a problem with my sim card too.
I'm from Indonesia, btw.
Need advice from you:
1. Have any of you experience this before?
2. Do you have recommendation for modem version that I can try?
I'm running official (rooted) ColorOS 2.1.5i with TWRP and SU installed.

[Q] No reception

I rooted my G2 about 2 weeks ago with Virtuous ROM and, the other day I picked the phone up to go to work not thinking anything was wrong.
When I got to work, I had an X where the signal bars are. Tried to turning phone off and, nothing.
When I go in and search for the carriers it shows T-Mobile and AT&T listed then I tap the T-Mobile section and it tells me "Your SIM Card doesn't allow connection to this Network"....So we called T-Mobile and switched SIM Cards and still get the same thing.
My SIM works in every other phone we have, including our myTouch4g...I have un-rooted and, same result. Then rooted again and, it still acts the same way..
T-Mobile said it was something with their network and, could take 3 days to get it straightened out.
Has anyone else had this kind of problem out of there G2 before or after rooting?
I'm in Tennessee, if that helps.
Well, I went totally back to stock and, still no reception. Just an X in the signal location.
Send phone in for warranty if you have it...and try to enable raoming and data raoming and see if you can pick up any signal...

Thanks. I tried that and, still no signal. My DBM is -109 when I checked it a few minutes ago through the my device app.
Checked it again and it says -89, signal strength of 14 but, still have an x on the signal bars.
This is crazy. You don't think the Virtuous ROM messed it up do you?
I got a solution from T-Mobile. They are sending me a new one.....YIPPIE

[Q] For anyone who uses t-mobile, do you experience this?

I started using t-mobile monthly 4g on my phone this past month, purchased the non-gba 50.01 sim card from ebay and activated it with another t-mobile activation kit. The service has been so bad on my phone. The signal will intermittently switch on and off around every 15-45 seconds. The best internet I get is 2g, this is part of htc one x's band not being able to use t-mobile's 3g and 4g right? I'm also rooted and on cyanogenmod 10 if that helps narrow the problem. Would t-mobile's old sim card have anything to do with the service being bad, because the coverage map is excellent in my area.

Hox can access the 3g network just fine. I would go and question T-Mobile.

[Q] Using my 317 in China

I'm heading to China in a week and want to use my Note II (AT&T) on the China Mobile network. Does anyone have experience doing that?
I have been to my local AT&T store and they unlocked the phone for a non-AT&T SIM but I'm unsure about the Modem I should use (if a change is needed) and any other considerations.
I have rooted the phone and have CleanROM ACE 4.9 installed. No UV or OC or other tweaks.
I can buy a new pre-loaded SIM in China, as I have done in the past, but never with an Android smartphone.
I appreciate any feedback, guidance, or even horror stories that will help me get the phone ready for the trip.

I've heard that you have to use china unicom to get 3g connection on an ATT phone. Is that true?
All, I thought I'd give an update:
I'm in China and can use my Note II here. I bought a micro-SIM and data connection service, but blew through the first pre-payment in about 18 hours, LOL, so now I just use the calls and messaging and that seems to work fine.
AT&T unlocked the phone for me (Even thought I had done it on my own using the "secret" menu) but I had to use some other tweaks to get it all working.
I'm on China Mobile which doesn't have the 3G, wish I had gotten the China Telecom, which does have 3G. There doesn't appear to be any 4G or LTE type service at all.
If I can remember what I did to get the whole thing working I'll edit the post.

I'm in China now using my i317, you can't use China Telecom's 3G on the i317, you have to use China unicom. That's the same 3G as AT&T. you can have HSPA+(called 4G by at&t) by using this
I was in Shenzhen for work 3 times last year with an unlocked 4S since they could not supply a nano SIM for my 5. I used a China Mobile SIM card supplied by the vendor I was visiting. I was only able to get EDGE the whole time. I visited Luohu and Guangdong as well and still only EDGE. I am heading back on September 18th and am taking my Note II. I assume my experience will be the same. Maybe I will give give CU a shot this time. Happy and safe travels!
Back from China!
I used China mobile, but next time I would use China Unicom. They have faster data and cheaper too, I think.

Can't you just trim the sim card to correct size? I used a punch, and use the outside piece when I need a regular size sim.
Anyway, when I travel, I keep a couple of modems on my sd card and flash them until I get the correct frequencies. Before I leave, I save a screenshot of the APN settings for the companies I anticpate using.

Samsung N7100 strange issue with SIM card

hello people!
last year i was using a samsung galaxy mega i9205 4G with a 3G sim. so I went to Orange to take a 4G sim. DONE!
my phone broke and i had to use the sim in another phone, N7000, 3G. when i was outside, not connected to WIFI, the signal disappeared. after a restart, the signal was back, but for some short time.
i changed the N7000 with a Huawei P8lite 4G and the problem was gone.
after a while i changed the Huawei for a N7100 and the problem is back... if i change to GSM mode, i have signal, but if i change it to 3G mode, the signal is gone. the sim card is 4G. i can't find any 3G sim card any more in the stores.
the guys from client support didn't hear of this issue until now...

Connectivity problem USA carriers

Hi everyone!
I've surfed all I've found here about Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite and the bands/carrier problems here in the USA, but I can't solve my problem. Here are the facts:
I have a Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Global Version, Android 10 updated, not flashed, not root, works perfect and I love it.
I moved to USA from Spain 1 month ago, I got a new SIM from T-Mobile and the first two days worked, but suddenly lost the connection, not only data but calls and messages.
If I change that SIM with another one, (also T-Mobile, my boyfriend bought it the same day, same plan), then it works again but after some hours not signal again.
I've been doing this SIM change over the last 2 weeks, but it is really uncomfortable, I've tried to get a pattern but it doesn't depend on the time that the SIM is on the phone (it can be operative 2 hours or 2 days) nor in the data used or in the area.
When I lost the signal, the SIM is recognized but is like I was inside a deep cave with no coverage.
There is no way to recover the signal, I've tried airplane mode, rebooting several times, reinserting SIM, port change, even changing the SIM and changing it back, but nothing.
When I have signal I get T-Mobile 4G LTE and runs smoothly.
My SIM ports are fine because both read my Spanish SIM card, and the SIMs cards work perfectly because my bf can use both.
I don't know if is a network compatibility problem, he has a POCO X3 that supports the same bands and he gets signal all the time.
I bought a new SIM card from Mint just to check if it was about the carrier, and It does not work either, even when the phone compatibility says that should work.
I'm stuck now
Any advice? Should I buy a new phone to live in the states? (I'm going to be here for a year and I'm spending so much money on moving in that I would prefer not)
Thank you in advance!
