Update : Thanks everyone for your suggestions!
If you're here for the first time, go through all comments for case/cover suggestions/issues.

I'm looking for a case/cover that will cover up the camera bump on G5 plus.
Preferrably tansparent and shock-proof cases.
All suggestions are welcome.

One of the reviews clearly mention that it doesn't protect the bump at all. Have you personally used this case?

Golden Sand Back Cover Case For Moto G5 Plus (2017 5th Gen) [Color - Metallic Black] https://www.amazon.in/dp/B06XD6RW9M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_w7a1ybSC4BYBC

I purchased Tudia TPU, looks very similar to Spigen cases. Has raised lip on the front as well as raised hump on that back, so to protect the camera as well as screen.
Can't post the link as am not allowed to do so before 10 posts. Search for Tudia Moto G5 Plus on Flipkart and you'll get it.
The one and only thing I don't like much is that black case doesn't look too appealing with golden facia. But it protects!!

hey can you upload pic of your phone with tudia tpu?

Can't upload image here as it is not allowing.. Shall I send u via pm? Or any other ways to upload

Bought a thick silicon TPU transparent case from my local market for just rs.80/$1.2 as nillkin for Moto g5+ is still not available.
The cover which I bought is good and gets the job done and yes it do prevent camera lens.

I bought this - Flipkart SmartBuy Back Cover for Motorola Moto G5 Plus
http://dl.flipkart.com/dl/flipkart-...n?pid=ACCERX6QWQA4CZP2&cmpid=product.share.pp
Pretty decent. Top and bottom aren't protected but I like it that way. Camera lens is protected by a bump. Very soft rubbery feeling. Slippery for the first few days.

I have ordered below from flipkart.... I think this is the best shock proof case for moto g5 plus... I will edit this post once i get it in my hand in a week or so.

Edit : yesterday I received this golden sand tpu case. Below are my findings @yourSAS
Case material is awesome.
Pressing volume and power buttons are pretty easy. Usually with such cases we get hard time to find or press those.
It does protect camera bump.
Its available in black n blue not transperant that's it. Rest it is all good.....

I got this Incipio NGP case from Best Buy for $5 with my G5+. Extremely grippy and comfortable to hold!http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/58dee64c364f4/20170331_192639.jpg?

Cruzerlite Bugdroid cases are still not being made available in India.
Getting it from USA makes the final pricing 3x the original one. Such dilemma.. :|

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I hope that this thread has helped someone to find the right case for their g5 plus.
I bought this one from a local store. It fits well and protects the camera protrusion and is transparent! That's everything I needed.
Cost : 150 ₹
Online availability : No

I got tudia case which was promoted at the product page on Flipkart...it very good quality and seems like it will protect very if phone falls. But its also bulky and since i dont have habit of dropping my phones...i am thinking of getting a thin transparent one. Have ordered one from Amazon...will report when i receive it...

If you go on Amazon it should be pretty easy to find, there are a few good companies out there doing cases and screens for this handset. I would generally go with what I know, and also look at the customer reviews.

They are like queen and king in phone case industry. They both look stylish and sturdy. You can check them out on amazon for price, at least affordable to me.

I've got that case; it's pretty good, has a lip to keep the screen off the surface of a table if you put it face down. Main downside is that the SIM/MicroSD card tray is cut out so the surrounding plastic on the screen surface is thin. Over time I'm worried this may get weakened.
The Ringke Fusion looks good, however the one I had for the Samsung S4 had issues putting in large headphone jacks (e.g. Etymotic ER-4, Sony MDR-7506) and the headphone jack hole on the Z3+ case looks even smaller if that's possible. No issues with headphone jacks and the Spigen .
A while ago I ordered this case:
http://www.banggood.com/Nillkin-Sup...k-Cover-Case-For-Sony-Xperia-Z4-p-991532.html
Takes a while to be delivered, a month for me, but it really is a nice case. Pretty slim, but it is is rather firm. Adds a nice grip to the phone, due to the 'soft' feel of the plastic. It covers just the back and the left and right side, but it's edges extend just half a millimeter to protect the other sides of the the phone as well, even when it lies face down. The holes for all the buttons are nice and tidy. And bang-for-the-buck-wise, it really is a no brainer
Got the Spigen one because I got tired of the flip cover I had been using. Very nice. Not pretty, but feels good in the hand and very robust. Why oh why does it have to have the silly "air cushion technology" text at the bottom, though?
Got the Spigen case and it looks great on my white Xperia™ Z3+ Dual.☺

I haven't been using any case or anything with my Z3+ since I bought it. The back is as extremely polished as the front, so it is super slippery in almost any surface where you'd put it - seriously, very slippery; it's like my Z2 wasn't half as polished. As a result, mine already shows a few very minor scratches from the various surfaces I've parked it on, and a very light one over the camera glass. It seems that the back is not as resistant as the front, though - the same week that I bought it, I accidentaly dropped my Z3+ on the rough floor of an old church (it was during a marriage ceremony, very silent atmosphere at the moment and just imagine how I wanted to scream and swear all sorts of bad words when that happened!); "fortunately" it landed on its back, but it made a very noticeable scratch Because of all of this, I just bought a silicone case. I hate cases because they fundamentally alter the immediate look of the device, but unfortunately it gets too much exposed without one.

Best Rugged case

So I'm waiting on my OnePlus 3T. Other than that the overpriced Otterbox and what's OK Amazon, has anyone found a good rugged case that doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone? Thanks.

Some people might say that an Otterbox case is overpriced. While I agree that they are certainly costly compared to other cases out there, they do offer some pretty good protection. I see it like this... Some people get insurance on their phone because they know that one day they might need to make a claim and get a replacement phone. Me personally, I've never had insurance on a phone and have also never broken a phone. So instead of paying a monthly fee for something that might happen, I pay a one time fee to ensure that I'm getting good protection on a costly device. With that said I do have an Otterbox case for my OnePlus 3T and so far it's been great.
You can take a look at Poetic Cases. I'm rocking now the Revolution on my Moto Z Play, model made for Z Force, and I can tell you, for under 20$, u cannot find other 2 pieces case with protection on display, some plastic. The plastic will scratch easily but in the end, not the shell worth, just the nucleus . It's a little bulky, steady in hands and the back piece is made from hard plastic and the edges of it from some nice good TPU.
Sorry for my bad english skills. Hope you got the ideea.
anyone thinking about rhinoshield? (https://rhinoshield.io/collections/oneplus-3)
I saw a video on youtube where a dude using this bumper case on his 3, tried getting the phone damaged by dropping the phone from various heights. the phone was unscathed even after falling from 22 ft (2 storey up). however in general usage, the phone will (likely) not be falling from a 2 storey building but a user's pocket height, so the case seems good. however, at 25 USD, it feels a bit pricier. but i guess that's a better protection/weight tradeoff than most fully phone covers.
what's your opinion guys?
I use a Spigen Neo Hybrid Case on my 3T and I love it!!!
Good protection yet slim (adds 3,25mm thickness) and beautiful!
For my eyes it is the best looking case out there that adds enough protection.
And even the price is not bad with 14,99 Euro here in Germany or I think $17,99 on amazon.com.

I have this case. Works well, and will work with the oneplus 2 holster from Seidio if you are so inclined. Also works with the TGSP without causing the edges to lift up.
Definitely would recommend and second the spigen case.

Could you give me precise measurement of the case (with calipers )? I'm currently using a Tudia Merge (rugged dual layer) and I find it kinda wide and thick (that's what she said...). This Spigen looks good, but I don't want to spend yet another $10-$15 if they're the same.

The answer is OtterBox always. I have it in black and it feels awesome. Best protective case.

I have bought
OnePlus 3 Translucent Gray Case ₹499 from oneplus store, really Good one, doesn't bulk up handset.
Also bought
Case U® Smoke Black Transparent TPU case
Both are good. Feel nice, Don't look cheap.
Between both I like official Oneplus back cover more.
Edit:
Both work fine with case u tempered glass screen protector if applied properly.
Spigen's Rugged Armor case won't protect anything, it's a visual only improvement, there isn't even any padding on the corners.
Otterbox is the best protection you can get but it is a lot bulkier in your pocket.
Look on YouTube for drop tests with otterbox cases, there are people dropping them from the third floor of buildings with only light scratches.
IF u want transparent, nothing better than this exsits quality and looks wise

try the spigen armor with carbon fiber it's matte back and has a pretty sleek design found one on ebay for 15$ but the one downside to the case is that it has these bumps under the hardware button covers which constantly puts slight pressure on the power button which caused a problem on older samsung devices with turning off on its own later down the road. to fix this problem I just took a file and pliers and removed the bumps that were under the hardware button covers. this can be done on all cases to prevent any chance of the phone have a problem with turning off on its own later
I am using this one:
http://www.amazon.in/TUDIA-Bumper-Absorption-OnePlus-TD-TPU3732/dp/B01LDIG9DY
Its for Rs.799/-
Pretty good and an edge over Spigen is that Tudia has big cut-outs for charging, speaker and headphone. So no issues to plug anything in these

Yes, I'm still using the same case. Accidentally dropped phone 2 times (2-3 feet high drop) and its safe.
BTW Tampered glass came off after a few days and I don't feel need of it anymore, just back cover is enough.
Do not waste money on glass, if you still feel that screen guard is needed go for screen protectors, not for tampered glass.

Bought a couple more cases, just for variety, both from Amazon UK (pictures from there too).
First one looks like it's a two piece but isn't, the black rubber bits are a permanent part of the shell. The stand is quite stiff so it stays in place at different angles, looks good.

The second hasn't arrived yet but I liked the techno look it has. Both were about £6.95 - The J&D arrived, it's a proper two part case with a hard rubber inner. The buttons are incorporated into the design as chunky blocks, very nice. Not so nice are the port covers on the base. Because the rubber is hard they don't fit very well, easy solution was to cut them off since I don'r need them anyway.

Just received mine 2 days ago. Feels good in the hand. Very slim profile so it does not add much to the device. Has a good grip surprisingly.

I usually love ringke cases but found the one for the P9 to be pretty slippery and slick. Like it made the device too slippery to hold for me. How's the grip of yours ?

Pretty slick as well.
I am going to order a case from UAG. I have used them in the past and have found them very good.
https://urbanarmorgear.com/products/huawei-p10-plus
Well just got my UAG case. Thanks Amazon for free same day delivery. Really like this case. Great feel to it and doesn't add much bulk at all.
Using a Spigen rugged armor right now though I'm tempted to grab a uag. Have one on my mate 9 - feel it actually adds too much bulk to that already huge ass phone but the P10 plus is a much more reasonably sized device.
I more like ultra thin cases and skins. I half heartedly ordered this case from ali express and it turned out to be a complete gem. Very sleek premium feel and the price is just unbelievable! Peel or Shumuri would easily charge 5x for this case. Anyway, here is the link:
CAFELE soft Case For huawei p10 cases TPU silicon Slim Back Protect Skin Ultra Thin Phone Cover for huawei p10 plus case shell

Some photos below, but i can tell the photos dont do justification here... The case is much nicer in real.
Cheers!
Cases i my region are far and few between...mostly because the release was delayed 2 months. It's coming out THIS month but I've had my P10 plus for a month now and used it as my primary phone for the last week. I'd had to say without question my favourite across any phone is the South Korea RINGKE FUSION.
It's mostly a range of CLEAR cases, so if you're looking for colour, look elsewhere
It shows off the phone how it was meant to be shown
Is a great mixture of TPU silicone (side/edges/buttons etc) and hard plastic (back)
The 4 corners/bumpers have airpockets to absorb impact of drops
1.5mm raised at the back to prevent the camera hitting the ground and cracking
If you like this sort of thing - has soft TPU dust pocket covers for 3.5mm jack and USB port

RoOSTA
I have several cases and I really love this blue one with sandstone finish : it feels good in hands and less slippy than other cases. The only con is it hides the phone's beauty.
The original one that came with the phone is good too but the only thing I don't like about it is the camera part : it offers no real protection to the lenses, the entire area on the case is empty there.
I have the red version of this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0...+plus+case&dpPl=1&dpID=41Hh9e7edaL&ref=plSrch
I need something to protect it from knocks drops and dust etc as there is a high chance of that at work.
The case is fudging huge and heavy. However its a trade I'm willing to accept to keep my phone safe.
Couldn't resist the urge to order a UAG Plasma case. They just offer great protection while not adding a ridiculous amount of bulk. Whilst some of their older designs are kind of ugly the newer stuff is sexy as.

Lack of name leading brand cases?!

I have yet to see Incipio, speck, tech21 or any other leading brand case available. It seems they've all decided not to make cases.
I have a ringke air and a vrs case, but I'd like to get a speck. Guess that ain't gonna happen!?
What about Spigen? They've got a few nice looking cases
https://www.spigen.com/collections/lg/device_lg-g7
I got the Tough Armor case. I'm just looking for a belt clip to go with it.
I was able to get an OtterBox myself. Trying to hold out for better cases, though.

Bummer. I did see one, only one, at Tech21
https://www.tech21.com/en_us/evo-tactical-g7-thinq-black
meh, not my style but perhaps yours?
I've seen a bunch at Amazon, but too gawdy for me.
Which case did you get at VRS?

I actually like the tactical and didn't see it prior to you posting.
I bought this VRS case - LG G7 Case, LG G7 ThinQ Case :: VRS :: Slim Full Body Protective Armor :: Ultra Thin Fit :: Waved Texture Reinforced Grip :: for LG G7 ThinQ (Single Fit - Matte Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C79Z26J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_cfihBbFNQAKM7
It's a nice case, but the buttons are a little too flush.
Edit: I bought the EVO tactical. Hopefully it's like the Galaxy S7 one that I have.
I've been using the ringke onyx. Love it
Ringke Air.. It's a great fit and keeps phone slim.. only drawback my finger prints I keep wiping it.. Lol

That's the problem I have with mine. It's an awesome case, but the fingerprints are insane.

I got the Spigen Neo Hybrid and I really like it... Slim TPU, extra protection on the edges and has a good feel... I know that OtterBox and UAG have also cases for the G7 but I wanted to try this one and I have no complaints...
I just got the tech21 Evo tactical. It's actually a really nice case. Smooth feeling with tactic buttons. The case is actually a really dark black. The pictures make it look dark gray, but it's not. I will use this case for now until the speck one I found online arrives Friday. I'll keep this either way and prolly switch back and forth. This case is fully acceptable tough and will disregard fingerprints no doubt.

Hi! Could you link me the Speck Case? I searched but couldn't find anything... I had a Speck Case for my N6P and I loved it, wouldn't mind giving a look at the G7 one...
