Instructions for updating:
you can dirty flash over a previous lineageos build
if you was root, you have to root again (ramdisk mod)
if you have magisk or xposed (ramdisk mod), it must be reinstalled after a boot
not necessary to reinstall gapps

CAUTION
Don't forget to enable Privacy Guard on 1st setup wizzard​
HOWTO FIX GOOGLE SERVICE BATTERY DRAIN ​Go to "Settings" and "Privacy"
Then "Privacy Guard"
Check "enabled by default"
Go to bottom --> "Google Play services" and check padlock to "ON"
Now, you will have notification for apps witch want to access privacy
For Google Play Service, check "deny"

Deny all and test your apps. If you need to enable an authorisation, return to privacy guard and long touch google services to choose detailed access.

@murigny64 i see, anyways after deny all i have no problems so it can be done safe, i add some pictures here, magisk all good, performance really good (35k at 1920x1080 and 40k at 1280*720, it is some less than other roms there but i really prefeer lineageOS), Pogo and etc, incredible rom
i suggest to disable LiveDisplay tho, it affects a lot the performance
EDIT: and btw, the battery life is amazing, but interactive seems a little bugged, but anyways it is good
EDIT2: changed to userspace and all ****ing good, idk what is the problem with interactive tho lol

Awesome work, and I LOVE the ROM. I do have a couple questions though. First, can I just disable the privacy guard altogether, or do I need to enable then deny?

I'm having the EXACT same issues. My phone was lollipop, and I've not reflashed any radios. It sounds from your post that you found a file to flash to correct the issue, but I don't know what to look for, or where to find it. Can you please link the files you flashed to fix it, or a link? If it helps, I have the 6045 from cricket.

1 - Battery drain is a Google Service issue, try to disable all privacy and only enable for google service
2 - It's a LL modem issue. You have to flash MM modem from your country

you mean give net via usb? just tested and it does not work, is like it tries to get enabled then disable it by myself
aside that, more testing and thanks to marionnete for some info, i got this score on antutu (3D at 1280*720)

i remember an app that let you to usb tether outside of the default option, but i can't remember
indeed is a good feature, it should be added as a bug since it is really used from some people

I have been using this time for last 7-8 hrs and the battery life seems good also the animations on this tomorrow feels nice and I haven't noticed any major issue till now...still gonna have to test it for some more time before saying anything surely.
After using all the other ROMs with almost similar UI for a long time ..this ROM feels like a breath of fresh air..

With alpha builds of AICP & AEX based on Android oreo there are issues with U-TOUCH key soft touch (tap) alloted activities/actions. So here I edited & made magisk flashable U-TOUCH key activities. So you won't need to edit system files to get needed action.
Assigned actions to U-TOUCH in this module:
Swipe right - HOME
Swipe left - RECENT APPS
Single tap (touch, not press) - BACK
Long tap (touch, not press) - GOOGLE ASSISTANT
All other allotted activities to any other key or key combination won't change.
Download: From attachment
How to flash?
Flash using magisk manager 6.0+
Or
Flash from TWRP.
(Supports only magisk v17.0+)

I have already mentioned which actions can be modified. Neither double tap nor double press can be modified. Actually they're not even included in alpha builds of AEX & AICP based on Android oreo.

How can we add the functionality for press ? Pls bro tell...I am using Mokee rom and when I press the home button it not only take to the homescreen but also go back once at the same time. So i want to change this and only want it to go home and no back.

Yeah IR face unlock is working. Also you don't have to swipe to unlock, it does it automatically

Hello, i've a few question before installing this ROM on my Mi8. I've currently on Android 8.1.0 and MIUI version 10.0.3.0. Can i directly install your ROM (my bootloader is unlocked, ofc) ? Which version of TWRP should i use ? And i guess i've to install GApps too ? Thx !

We need to flash gapps ? Coz i shocked 500 mb under zip

Google assistant isnt working properly. Its just pulling uo a search rather than following the command. For example if i say 'watch netflix' it just pulls up a google search rather than opening netflix as it should. Anyone know if there is a way to fix this?
Other than that, so far i have found no other problems. Very smooth rom indeed and just the right features that i like to have. Battery is lasting ages too up til now

Yes we do, flashed it myself.

Btw this is not a beryllium port right?
I mean I didn't flash a kernel for the Mi 8 and the included kernel booted just fine!

Amazing
After a huge gap of time, I found this to be the best ROM. Everything Stock ie. Google Apps. No lags observed till now. Charging speed is just awesome even with the Stock Kernel. SOT is around 5 hrs 20 minutes with PUBG at High settings+ Smooth Graphics... Some screenshots attached below :

This rom is with gapps, dude. If u want it with your chosen gapps, flash other rom with no gapps built-in.

Yes I know what im asking you don't have to act like its something unheard of,most of the rom is non gapps,I personally don't use Google services,thats why I asked if there any version available without gapps.

Lemme tell u something. I always read new thread from top to bottom. So if u said I didn't read your reply, then you're dead wrong. If there's a non gapps version, then the maintainer would mention IT in the description. U got it?

Also I told you in the last part of my previous reply that if the non gapps version of this particular ROM didn't exist, u could use Another ROM. But I guess you got defensive because of it. That's something. Lol.

Using this rom as daily driver -
Yes bluetooth works perfectly. Using it on for connecting to my bluetooth headset.

@Kapil Tapsi - If possible kindly add/port "System Profiles" from LineageOS. I know Tasker works but LineageOS System Profiles is one of the most useful and simplest automation for controlling settings based on trigger.

NO. This rom doesn't have multi user. I was not able to to find any option to add another user.

Issues found so far -
1. Battery optimisation of apps not working - When turned ON, it reverts back to 'Not Optimised' by itself
2. App lock -
I had it turned ON for Settings app. But when i disabled it, App Lock still asks me for pattern to access Settings app.
No option to reset app.
3. Lawnchair -
Lot of stuttering. Folder open/close animation, app switcher scrolling and dock open stutters.
No option to clear all settings. Clear Storage option not available.
