ROM for K430Y? - LG K10 Questions & Answers

I was wondering if there's any custom ROM for this model, I was seeing that there's from other models and I don't think they are going to work with this model.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi there @WinterSoldier , Developers are busy working on a Custom ROM. But first the bootloader needs to be unlocked and currently LG K10 K430Y can't be unlocked.
The following link just shows you the supported devices:

Unfortunately no I installed Kingroot and submit a request. We'll see hopefully it will be able to be rooted.

So it works, which means you can unlock bootloader. Of course it wipes your phone. Did you try the root method suggested here on xda? Kingroot will never work with this phone...

I dont think there are any threads on xda that gives you instructions to flash twrp on k10... i neither remember anyone porting twrp for k430y.
I just mean dont say its not rootable if you didnt try it properly.

Att new software update

Woke up this morning to notification of new software update from att. I'm already on the official KK update from couple of months ago. Anybody else get this? What is the update?
http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB420581&cv=820
From the above link...
"Update to android 4.4, including improved security".
So what does this mean? What exactly in 4.4 has been updated? What security updates? Anyone know?
Sent from my LG-E980 using XDA Free mobile app
Thanks for reply rom
But i actually meant did anyone know specifically the differences much like Andy's question
The update forced on my phone, crashed it because I had a custom recovery, so I had to flash back to. Jelly Bean and now I can't obtain root after re-updating.

Have you tried it on a device thats had the new ota update installed?
Also I thought there was a security concern with the kingo root method, something about it being from China and contains malwares that sends files back to its home server, supposedly these files are the ones necessary to clone the device.

[twrp]h815p[test]

Only h815p
Hi guys
I have an idea
All h815 roms work on h815p this means these models have same kernel and bootloader
Your phone must be root
Enable oem unlock on developer option
Download twrp.img
Thanks @Dees_Troy
Flash twrp.img with flashfire
Now maybe u have recovery mod
This method is for test but it don't kill the phone
I don't have h815p
Thanks @Dees_Troy for recovery.img

[How to]Relock Bootloader

My mobile:
ZF2 ZE551ML 2GB [ROOTED] [BT UNLOCKED]

I had Hard Bricked my phone previously
[xFSTK Method] i flashed the .RAW file to recover it

I flashed TWRP
but when i try to open recovery it again boots to bootloader
i researched a lot and found that BT must be unlocked (i already unlocked though)
Then i again unlocked BT.. Im Successful in flashing
So,

hmmm could have been alot of things. Maybe just a corrupt flash or dm verity fail . Or it could be somthing as simple as failing to power down immediatly after flashing. Part of the unlock process causes loop but not on verizon screen it does it after galaxy note 4 screen. if you flashed the firmware with the 6.0.1 bootloader but the 5.1.1 firmware and you werenot unlocked might do that. Ummm yeah man its totally possible to get back to 5.1.1 still . If i was you id double check all the files you flashed making sure its not your bad. Then id check the firmware i flashed making sure its metadata checksum is what its supposed to be . or you could always stay put at marshmellow ....its not the worse possible outcome nor is it the best . up to you, it gets easier with practice . I had the note 3 too exact same procedure so it feels easy because ive done it alot. The first time is a sketchy nerve racking nightmare and i wouldnt blame ya if ya backed off the unlock.
